Golf Course is challenging, BUT…
We called up about six weeks in advance, to make a tee time for our annual buddy trip — 16 of us. We were told that as non-​members we could only make a tee time 7 days beforehand, but JD, the head pro, looked at the day we requested and said he didn’t think it would be a problem, but to make sure to call on Saturday, one week before the Saturday we wanted to play. I didn’t call the week before to make this reservation, and figured that was that.
Another fellow in our group made us a reservation for the Friday, and we played there then. A fellow named Mark from Oakbrook, Illinois, checked us in.
For some reason, the course kept my information from the year before.
On Sunday morning around 7 am, I am now sleeping in my own bed back in Chicago, I get a phone call from Mark. He is going on and on about this tee time which I had no idea was made, since I was told that even members can’t make a tee time more than a month in advance, and I had called well in advance of that. I said, I never made this time, I was told to call a week in advance and I didn’t do that.
Any way, he keeps on going on about this and then closes by saying he has my credit card information (unchanged from last year, and two days ago, when I paid) and is going to charge me $ 1900 for the no show. Then he hangs up on me
