Sonos system took a awhile to get set up. The techs are not equivalent and service is slow. Watch out for 3 year contract on Security System. Get a yearly contract. Accounting is not reliable for making one aware of monthly charges and compilation of cost of all systems bought. Poor communication. Defective parts not replaced for 3 weeks until I called and complained. 2 business friends cancelled the security system in the last 2 months.

I recently called Vitex as I was referred to them after buying a new home Their rep on the phone was extremely helpful and offered to send a «outside rep» to my home. The outside rep called immediately and met me at my new place. We reviewed all the options and decided to put in a alarm with cameras, thermostat control and lights. Also a few Tvs and landscape lighting. I was told a person from scheduling would call me and within 2 hours the appt was scheduled. At day of install everything ran super smooth. Thier tech Pedro was awesome. Explained everything and put the apps on my phone We love the system and may even add motorized blinds with Amy We highly recommend Vitex to anyone who wants to do business with a great local company

This company is awful in customer service. I have been trying for 4 years to get them to change my batteries, for which I have paid a huge sum of money, and no one seems to call and service their customer, me! I paid a premium to have them service my equipment. When I installed my AV system they sold me equipment that they stopped servicing the next year and left me hanging with new equipment that no one would service. What a brilliant business move. It pains me to give them one star but the install went well when we built the house.

Vitex offers many services including home security system, home automation /networking, and window blinds. I have had all three from them and have been satisfied only with the window blinds; their other services have been poor. After initial installation, one of the new ceiling mounted home theater speakers did not work. Their home security system is so antiquated that arming the system upon departure requires SEVEN keystrokes! I have had false alarms from the home security system for the past 7 months and it is not yetrepaired. They say someone will call back but no one ever does. Now they want to charge me for repair work because they say the security system is no longer under warranty. DONOTUSEVITEX! There are many alternative providers for the same types of services that will deliver much better quality products and support services.

We own a brand new home. We have VITEX home automation since Feb 2015. After 2 month of use, VITEX Home Automation system broke down. We couldn’t set our alarm. Good thing, it is still covered by 3 month warranty and technician came to replace the WHOLESYSTEM after only 2 month of use. Apparently, the system placed in our house was NOT brand new. We were encouraged to buy a special VITEXSMOKEDETECTOR for almost $ 200 on Feb 10, 2015. After 6 months, smoke detector is broken. is giving us notifications that the Smoke alarm is «MALFUNCTIONING». We called the company to complain. But because 3 month warranty is over, we are asked to pay $ 99 for the first 30 minutes that the technician is here to fix the smoke detector. Tell me, how can a smoke detector attached to a 10 foot ceiling of a brand new home break after only 6 months of use. Nobody has touched that smoke detector after it was installed. There was never a fire or smoke inside our house. We are so disappointed with their customer service.
