Very fresh and a great little stop for lunch. This is a cute little place with a bakery on the other side. The tables have cute little sayings on them. The food was all fresh and when you leave you really feel like you made a good healthy decision. I don’t ever see a lot of cars here but I hope this place does well.

Well… I excitedly traveled here from off the Turnpike on my way home from Philly and to my dismay they weren’t open as advertised at 8AM. Well, sort of. Thankfully the sweet Amish bakery lady Sarah who shares the space whipped up a fresh breakfast sandwich(off a small griddle… no microwave!) and her cookies are yum! One more star for Sarah saving the day. I certainly look forward to updating my review the next time I’m here because I’m sure Kate’s food is as fabulous as it looks and sounds.

Great little breakfast and sandwich shop. The chicken curry wrap is superb(balanced seasoning, a hint of heat, and pops of sweetness from the halved grapes). For breakfast, the Full Monty is their take on a Monte Christo, but lighter and not soggy. The service is friendly and quick. As a bonus the bakery next door has jams, cakes, biscotti, pies, and a freezer full of Zook’s pot pies ready to go. Plenty of parking in the back.

Kate’s Place dominates the standard where other 5 star cafes fail. So many other 5 star cafes struggle to impress because the chef doesn’t understand food at a level we come to expect from fine dining. Kate’s Place food is well above the mark in a quaint and comfortable café with the friendliest service possible. The prices are well below fair and you can easily order two meals if you can’t decide on one. This is one of the few places left that you can eat every day and always appreciate how truly special food can be when made with expert precision.

My Dad and I stopped in for a late lunch and were blown away by the quality of the food. I went with their«Mom’s Chicken Noodle Soup» which was fantastic and clearly homemade by a chef who knows his way around seasoning. My Dad had their seasonal salad which featured fresh spinach, walnuts, goat, cheese, and dried cranberries served with a tangy vinaigrette. We also sampled the coleslaw which was full of flavor and the perfect amount of creamy. All of their prices were incredibly affordable, especially considering the quality. The café also offers different varieties of ice tea which are served in mason jars that compliment the adorable the cozy country interior. The café is operated by a husband and wife, who could not have been more warm and friendly if they tried. Pleasant outdoor seating made our delicious lunch that much more enjoyable!

Stop in and forget about your plans for Shady Maple Smörgåsbord! Seriously! We went today for an early lunch after finding it on Unilocal & were initially slightly surprised at the small eating space, but it’s like a wonderland in there! Specialty jams & jellies, bakery, and the FOOD! Oh my goodness! I got(I think?) the Full Monty — something like $ 5 for one of the most amazing breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever tasted! It’s a standard bacon, egg & cheese(I switched to cheddar) but they put it on fluffy, fresh-made Texas French toast and drizzle a maple aioli over the insides… AAHH! I want to eat another one now just thinking about it! So tasty! I will be going back as soon as humanly possible. The house-made chips are made fresh daily and are delicious! My 3yo son loved the Hawaiian grilled cheese and my 1yo daughter was nomming the BBQ burger like candy. The owner brought us a dish of chips while we were waiting — for the kids to snack on! Super nice, super attentive guy — very professional and pleasant. Oh, and the water is served in Mason jars. Couldn’t get much more homey and comfortable. :) Go go go! If you’re within 30 minutes of this place, it’s an obvious pick for brunch/lunch. I’m a good hour away and am already salivating and planning a return trip. :)

The best cheesesteak I’ve had and it wasn’t even in Philly. It was a philly cheese steak grilled cheese. Little place but packs a punch. Great food guys

Local Owned business: Check. Exotic grilled cheese sandwiches: Check. This place is small, shares space with an Amish bakery, and is probably the best lunch I’ve eaten in the greater Morgantown area. I also recommend the lemonade if you have time to sit and eat. Finally, those home made chips were pretty dang tasty too. I recommend any of the grilled cheeses for first time visitors, or the wraps for something a bit lighter.

We are from out of town and just so happened to be one of the closest restaurants to where we were staying. Everything we had was outstanding and the staff couldn’t have been any nicer. We had the full Monty and a Bacon Mac n cheese grilled cheese. Then we got several items from the little Amish bakery that was connected which were also delicious. I highly recommend. We will be back.

Where to begin with this place, it is magical! Inside the place looks totally different than what it looked like before these owners. It is so cozy/warm when you’re inside, you even feel like part of their family which are posted along the wall in frames. The food is just as great as the service and the interior. You can taste the love inside the food. I love their array of grilled cheeses, and make sure you get a soup so you can dip it! Also, there is a bacon chicken ranch wrap, and seasonal salad which is absolutely great! I can’t wait to come back and try their tasteful burgers!

This is the cutest place to stop by for brunch ! We had the Chicken Curry wrap and Skirt Steak sandwich. Finished everything and wiped the plates clean! Chicken curry wrap was light and a delicious blend of sweet with crunchy walnuts! The Skirt Steak sandwich was out of this world. The steak was juicy and flavorful! Oh I almost forgot to rave about their homemade Italian soda! Yummy. I had the passion fruit soda. Not too sweet and soo refreshing! This place was a perfect find on our Lancaster trip! Thank you Kate’s Place! We’ll be back
