My wife and I dropped in for the first time yesterday for a late lunch. We both chose to have a couple of Empada de Frangos each because my wife is gluten intolerant and these are made with Yucca flour. In fact, they made them up fresh and hot for us while we waited and it didn’t take more than 15 minutes. Each Empada looks like a white yucca snowball with a slightly pasty consistency and filled with a mixture of ground beef, olives, and parsley. They are deep fried in oil but were not oily and were quite tasty especially the filling. They are $ 2.50 each. We also had two Brazilian coffees($ 2. each) made with half espresso and half regular coffee and cream. We enjoyed conversing with the friendly owner too about Brazilian cuisine and some of the products on sale at his grocery section, and we both left feeling very comfortably filled and satisfied.

I have to disagree with the previous review. I am a regular at Café Brasileiro. They are excellent cooks. In fact, the few occasions I was able to be there at the right time to eat out of the buffet, it brought me back to my grandma’s kitchen in Sao Paulo. Their traditional Brazilian snacks(coxinha, kibe, pastel, etc.) are the best I have had in this area. When it comes to dessert, it’s hard to leave without having a slice of their delicious flan(pudim de leite). Worth every calorie! They also deliver free of charge. On a side note, I thought only Brazilian tastebuds and South American food lovers could appreciate the(potentially) overwhelming sweetness of their flan, but I brought one to an office party and my Anglo-American coworkers were blown away.

A small brazilian bakery in Nashua with a limited supply of fresh baked items and several shelves of imported brazilian goods. The traditional brazilian cheese rolls tasted as if they were warmed up frozen variety and the other selections were extremely limited. There is a much greater variety of packaged product from the nearby brazilian market Tropical Side.
