I guess for a ymca it is an alright place, but I mainly use it for the pool and the area is not only a swarm of children, but the children are crossing the swim lanes, running on the pool deck, etc. I just don’t even think it is safe. It is clean however because it is fairly new. Let’s see how long that lasts.

Been going here since I was in High School in 2005. They have updated the place a lot in the past few years which is heartening. The dumb bells are now rubber instead of metal, which was a big upgrade since they were mostly loose and kind of dangerous. The benches are a little out dated but get the job done, the machines are somewhat modern, and they’ve added a crossfit style station in the gym which is great for having so many pull up stations. It has pretty much everything you will need for a workout, 2 pulley machines, 2 squat racks, 2 bench presses, a smith rack, and rooms for spinning, volleyball, kettlebell workouts, raquetball courts, basketball court, cardio machines, indoor track, tennis courts, and pool. Really all you would really need. They also offer workout and yoga classes. I do not know if they are free as I have never taken advantage, but great for families to the average meat head.
