Service was spectacular ! Horrible food and not a very welcoming atmosphere. But the staff is wonderful I have to admit.

Bartenders hate their lives’ along with all of their customers. Attn. Loyd Disrespectful customer service although in my opinion the food is excellent. I believe a few rotten apples are ruining the experience for everyone. If I had to guess it could be the explanation for all the empty seats.

Bad food!!! Bad service!!! Never come beck here!!! I was waiting one hour just to get my drinks, when it’s finally arrived,! It was flat and warm. When I ask to change it I got the wrong soda! The food coming cold and the taste are no good!!!

The atmosphere was nice, a quiet place to people watch in the mall. However the food there was so bland and tasteless it left me disappointed in a simple BLT. The bacon was soggy and undercooked, there was half a head of lettuce on my sandwich and felt as though the bread had been sitting out for weeks. I didn’t get a taste of my boyfriend’s briscut but his sad look and the fact it was the first time I ever saw him turn his nose from a plate of meat I can only assume it was horrible. The wait staff is pleasant and quick so the atmosphere itself was lovely, the food simply was not good, especially for those high prices.

The food was ok, but the service was horrible. The waiter acted as though we were bothering him. He put no attention to our service and was borderline rude, incredible! Not sure if i would go back…

I didn’t have the greatest experience here. The waiter was great and friendly throughout the whole experience. Our food was late and we were left without food for about 45 minutes. It was busy but appearently 2 chefs never showed up. The food was good however. However out of 5, I rate this place a 2.

The burger here was really good but the prices were just way too much. For two burgers and waters the bill was over 30 dollars. This is just to much to ask for a burger in my opinion.

Let me preface this by saying I would only give a bad review if it was in fact horrible. So we show up at Joe’s American Bar & Grill at 600 and are asked if we have a reservation. I say that we do not and the hostess replies that there is a 30 minutes wait. We put our names in and called some other local establishments and determine they have the same wait times. We seat our selves on the rail near the bar and wait to be seated. We go up to the bar to grab a drink while we wait. It took about 10 minutes to get a drink. There were two bar tenders and both seems to be getting drinks for people other than bar folks. There were plenty of people at the bar waiting for drinks. The was no sign of the restaurant’s manager. While sitting at the rail near the bar, I notice there are about 7 open tables right next to us that are noncontiguous. I started wondering why management would not be seating guests when there are obvious open seating. I guess a dollar in the hand is not a good as one in the bush. We are finally seated about 20 minutes later in one of the cleaned and setup seats that was open about 20 minutes ago. We sit down with our drinks from the bar and order one drink for one in our party that didn’t get one previously. We looked through the menu and ordered. The drink came out in normal timing. 15 minutes later we were done with our first round of drinks and no food to be seen or our waitress asking if we needed a new set of drinks and/or to tell us thing were taking a little bit but don’t worry. Another 20 minutes pass, and our drinks are still empty. We usher our waiter down to get another round of drink(non alcoholic to speed up the process). 5 to 10 more minutes pass so we ask about the drinks again. The finally come out about 5 minutes later(710). No mention of where our food is. A runner comes by with food he thinks is for our table and we explain that it’s not our food. 725 rolls around and our food comes out. We usher our waiter done again for another round of drinks an to ask that a bloody burger be cooked to requested liking of medium-well. It was quickly brought back, from what I’m guess was a minute in the microwave. The burger and the bun were chewy. The barbeque platter was so dry, it was inedible. The buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was good. Our waitress came back after about 15 minutes to ask if we needed doggie bags. We said no and she asked why. We reluctantly stated the quality of the food aforementioned above. She said she would let the cook know. We replied by stating we rather not and would like to see the dessert menu. She brought a single wrinkled menu to a party of 3. 5 minutes past and she came back for our order. We ordered another round of non-alcoholic drinks and desserts. Our table was never cleaned off. 15(800) minutes pass and not so much as a drink show up on our table. At this time the manager has past our table without asking us how our experience is going or noticing our empty drinks and food plates pushed to the end of the table. We see that other tables are experiencing the same experience we are. They are getting things remove from their bill due to bad service and badly cooked items. The table beside us with two little ones waited almost an hour for just bread. We try a few times to usher down the manager to say that we just want the bill and to forget the desserts. Finally after a little while we go up to the bar and usher the manager. He finally comes with our bill(815) and the runner comes with our dessert. The manager and us have that look of what just happened and he then states that he didn’t add it to the bill and asks if we want doggie bags for them. Since they are part ice cream we said we would just eat them there. The waitress explains that she also removed the burger from our bill. We paid the tab and still tipped 20% on the items on the bill. We ate a portion of the dessert and finally got out of there at 835. Wow, what an experience. Over 2 hours at a restaurant to see that they were not professional from the hostesses to management. Quite a sh! t show Joe’s American Bar & Grill.

I came here for dinner before a movie a while back. It wasn’t my first time here but it was definitely my last! It was a really busy night, so I get with the hustle and bustle things move a little slower. I allowed plenty of time before the movie, since it was a Friday and I knew everything would be busy. We waited for about 25 minutes for a table. Once seated, it was at least 20 minutes before someone came over. And the only reason someone came over was because I made eye contact and waved at someone. No one was even looking at us. I told the waitress we hadn’t even see who was taking care of us and hadn’t had our drinks ordered yet. She sent the manager over who apologized for the delay and offered a free dessert. I was fine with this, but then it took at least another 15 mins before we saw out waitress. At this point, I was becoming furious that we had spent over an hour waiting to be seated and get water. We waited longer for the drinks to come and even longer for the food. We had to order only apps in hopes it would come out and we could eat quick enough to get to the movie. The food was disappointing, the service was horrendous. I’ve had poor dining experiences but this made those all look like winning the lottery.

I had a great experience here!!! I have multiple food allergies and they catered to every one of them. The restaurant manager personally served me. It was nice to be able to enjoy dinner out at a restaurant with family from out of town!!!

The service and people were Awesome. However the prices for the portions was a miss. I ordered a caesar salad with chicken and it came out with 5 bite size pieces of chicken and the salad looked like a side salad. It was so small and it took almost 20 min to come out. It was very slow that afternoon. I was the only person at the bar. My side salad was 17.88! I didn’t touch it and mentioned something immediately. I left. The bread that was brought out before my meal with the butter was AMAZING.

I think this place really takes advantage of their location(in PL Mall) by charging waaaay too much for their mediocre fare. The calamari app was almost $ 17(!) and consisted of at least 50% battered cherry peppers if not more and even at that, the pile was small. Total ripoff. I was there w/family recently(not my choice) and it took over an hour to get something out of the kitchen. I got the BBQ ‘plate’ and oddly, they had already run out of the brisket even though it was early. They sub’d the meatloaf. So the plate consisted of 1 slab of kinda dry(but tasty) meatloaf, 2 ribs(should have been 3 or 4) that looked like they were leftover runts of the litter and 3 chicken wings. They didn’t skimp on both, onion strings and fries as ‘filler’ though. But for almost $ 24, total ripoff. Burgers hovered around $ 17. Serving of soups was also on the ‘light’ side(bowl was oddly below appropriate fill level). The ribs themselves were odd. Super ‘fall of the bone’ to the point of being overdone and whatever sauce they used tasted ‘carbonized’. Not very appealing, in fact, nothing about this place appealed to me. The waiter(Connor) was very nice though. Not a repeat if I can help it(ditto ‘Red Robin’ in the PL Mall). I concur w/the review by Lana P.

For 28 years I have been coming to this establishment. Everyone can have a bad day but for the most part this place has been outstanding. Lloyd, Sarah, and the entire staff have been nothing but outstanding for the vast majority of time. I have no bitch’s or gripes about anything. God bless the gang at Joe’s. One timers who come in here and cry about anything are most likely«those kind of people» who search for things to cry about. Life is short. Save your crying for REAL shit that matters.

6 small tenders for $ 13.70… From their«for sharing» menu. Overpriced and obviously not enough to share. Rip off.

I was looking forward to Joe’s today but found the prices increased drastically, ingredients in salad were reduced, burger size, fries also seemed smaller and different, I do not see myself coming back. It was like they were under new management, for the first time I had to talk to the manager about what looked like they were padding the bill. The food was over all very disappointing, the new manager did not seem care.

I loved comming to Joe’s! But this time my daughter & I came in, the menu has changed so drastically we couldn’t find any of our favorites! I got the waiter to get me a salad that was on the old menu but it wasn’t made the same it was gross! & they failed to mention all the changes in my daughters fav dish so she had to order something else! Not worth comming back to since food court is downstairs!

Joe’s American Bar & Grill is located in Pleasant Lane Mall. They have bar seating, booths near the bar, and tables surrounding the bar area. It’s a great place to grab a drink and watch sports. My family and I had a pre-race dinner at Joe’s American Bar & Grill. Great company, great food, great service, I can’t really complain. For drinks, we ordered Arnold Palmer, which was a mix of sweetened iced tea and lemonade. I’d recommend their sangria’s! For entrees, we got Chicken Piccata with Angel Hair pasta, Grilled Fish Sandwich, Roasted Half Chicken with a cup of French Onion Soup, and Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon. The Chicken Piccata consisted of pan seared chicken, lemon, and capers in a buttery white wine sauce. This dish was rich in flavor and had a strong lemon flavor. It was more sour than what I remembered last time. The Grilled Fish Sandwich consisted of grilled white fish, lettuce, tomato, onion, and tar tar sauce between toasted and butter potato bread bun. The Roasted Chicken came with garlicky, buttery mashed potatoes. My brother added a cup of French Onion Soup, which was kind of salty. The Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon consisted of a pan seared salmon and sautéed artichokes and spinach in a mustard cream, and finished with dill pernod sauce. It was a hearty and healthy meal!

I have worked at the Pheasant Lane Mall for many years now, and Joe’s has always been a go-to for food simply because they deliver within the mall. When working alone for a 13 hour shift, it’s great to have a hot meal delivered to you. Because of this, I have overlooked the many flaws that Joe’s has. Their food is insanely overpriced for the amount of food you get and the quality of food you get. I have frequently not received utensils to eat my food with. And the wait for a table when most of the restaurant is empty is far too long. But for the second time, I was informed that while Joe’s does deliver within the mall– they would not be doing any deliveries this evening. There was no explanation as to why they would not be delivering. I assume it is because we are in a high traffic area and they are busy this evening. But they consistently advertise around the mall that they are willing to deliver to a store. I am in the tail end of an 11 hour shift where I am alone for the entire shift, and being unable to leave– I was banking on Joe’s to feed me this evening. Now that I am starving and unable to leave my place of work to trek to the food court, I will remember in the future to bring a lunch from home. And I will also remember that Joe’s does not value it’s customers– and neither I, not any of my employees will be eating at Joe’s again.

Not worth it. Go elsewhere. The prices are high, the food quality is poor and service was ok. I had a turkey burger. Waited over 20 minutes for the food. The plate was scorching hot, but the burger was only slightly warm. There was really no lettuce on it and the pickles had seen better days. The burger itself was burned in most places. The broccoli was cold and raw. They attempted to warm in water for all of 5 seconds. Hubby had the buffalo chicken wrap. The chicken was fried and the contents of the wrap was a soupy mess. The coleslaw was ok. Hubby’s refills were timely but the water refills were slow. Best part of this place was the nice hostess and the when we were leaving they wanted us to talk to someone about the poor quality we experienced. He seemed genuinely concerned about our lack of satisfaction.

I am SHOCKED at the reviews with low stars and poor reviews. Maybe people don’t know good food and good service when they are presented with it! I’ve visited here a couple times. This time, my sister and I had a day of shopping and decided to come here for a late lunch! She had a very satisfying club, and I had the steak frites– and we split the honey buffalo wings. I think I’ll come back JUST for the wings! They were PERFECT! The glaze was out of this world. The staff is elegant. This time we had Denise. She was sweet. Catered to our needs, was very communicative and knew her menu. Our server from the last time I ate here happened to walk by.(Lorien) She remembered my face and made it a point to drop a hello. I love that. Makes it feel like family. We’ll be back.
