Lafontaine Wm H DDS

Dr. Lafontaine has been my dentist for over 15 years. Clearly he must be doing something right (or I just might be lazy. For those folks that know me well, they might suspect the later is but I think it’s the former.) I have used several different hygienists over the time, not because I never had a problem with them, it’s just that the staff does sometimes turn over. Also I like to make appointments late in the day and some of the staff doesn’t like to work late.
Dr. Lafontaine’s chair side manner is very good. He spends the extra time to be sure you understand what he is doing, points out the interesting things in your x-​ray, and is willing to adjust his techniques to use what works for the patient and not what he is comfortable with. I didn’t like the dental dams; he stopped using them on me. Apparently I have some unusual nerve structures in my mouth and the single tooth deadening techniques don’t work for me. He is always willing to do the full nerve block for me.
I never look forward to having a cavity filled, but at least I know that Dr. Lafontaine and his staff will make it as painless as possible and explain the entire process to you as it’s happening.
