So many options your head will spin. They have a great selection of wine and liquor. And by great, I mean endless. There are literally thousands of different wines and liquors. You can catch them on some days with tastings, which are helpful to narrow down the selection. Check out the back of the store, the clearance section is good stuff.

Grey Goose on a budget… What?! Okay, so I’m not going to pretend that I made like a bandit on my trip here. Though you can definitely save a few dollars on hard liquor, you won’t make a huge dent unless you purchase a more than respectable amount. That said, that this place does beat certain aspects of Gordon’s and Martignetti’s for those of us who travel up Route 3. I do pride myself on some knowledge of wine prices, and while the domestics were pretty reasonable, some of the international selection was on par with home liquor stores. The back section with the final sale stuff was pretty awesome though. Found a nice Italian bottle with an even nicer markdown. Guess I need to drink more to learn my prices…

Bright, well-organized, sales always going on. My complaint, however, is that i’m trying to purchase wines based on the ratings. I do read these, store owner/manager. So, why are you bothering me with having the ratings for a specific year and then what you have on hand is a different year? False advertising all over the place on this one. If it ain’t the same year as the rating, then the label is false advertisement and has nothing at all to do with what you’re selling.

69, DUDE! This is the best liquor store in Nashua, I think. While it doesn’t have quite the selection of the stores off I-95, it is exceptionally clean, well-organized, and brightly lit. The liquor stores closer to the NH/MA border are predictably dirtier and more picked over, and we all know who to blame for that *points southward toward Massholeland*. And the service is great too; the store employs plenty of people who are both knowledgeable and friendly, which is increasingly a rare combination. Don’t try to sneak anything into Chunky’s, though.

Oh the prices. Today Kettle One for $ 30.00! Mount Gay for only $ 23.00 both these in ½ gallon jugs! This nice new building is right off Route 3 at exit 6 and just behind the plaza. Super clean, well stocked and lighted, and then the prices. As I go in for just one thing or maybe two out I go spending a mortgage payment. A new pinot noir, or pinot gris and yet the well described wine selection keeps calling me. The staff is friendly and willing to look for cases rather than having you tear apart a beautiful display. I was in this particular store over the holidays and restocking my wine cellar when behold at the register out comes these very cool cash cards that represented $$$ for every $ 300.00 I spent. Well hello there. I had $ 1500.00 in goodies in the two carts being dragged behind me by my Sherpa Guide who goes everywhere with me to ease the burden of lugging cases of wine to the car and down the steep stairs to my the«cellar.» He works for very little and simply the glory of hanging with me. He also likes it when I drive fast and play 60’s music. But back to the register and the $ 75.00 I earned for each $ 300 spent. Say hallelujah. i was up there a week later and for the first time a used a cash/gift card to the exact penny and walked out with a few handles. So browse to your hearts content, but keep in mind these prices are generally 35% less than good old MA.

I’m all about NH Liquor Store #69! Ever since I got heavily into the wine world, this has been a staple. The selection is terrific and there is always treasure to be found for those who know what their stuff. The thing to know about the NH State Liquor Commission is that they control the base price for all liquor in the state(for the most part), thus you cannot find a better price than at a State Liquor Store. And as another review made mention to, they’re not all created equal…69 is the best(hmmmm). To those that are wine buffs, it’s not uncommon to be able to take advantage of one of the State’s annual big sales and score highly investible wines at cut-rate prices(especially around the holidays). For those of you who are just casual drinkers, they even have staff members that know their stuff. Feel free to ask for a «fruit-forward» red from $ 15 – 20 or a dry Cab from $ 20 – 25 and they’ll find you one. I’ve tested them and they do have a couple guys there that are very useful. There are those who only drink the«hard stuff» and I think it’s safe to say that this would be your Mecca. As if the vast selection of Whiskeys, Rums, Vodkas, Tequilas and the other usual suspects wasn’t enough, they have a diverse selection of Absinthe, Cachaça, Crème de Whatever, and so much more. Without a doubt it’s worth the trip if you’re stocking-up or just want to find something that you won’t anywhere else. Cheers!

Not all NH Liquor stores are created equal. First off this one is larger than most, but most importantly has the wine discount warehouse in the back. This dusty and forgotten room contains some of the best deals around if your patient and understand not every time you go will there be something worth getting. The general wine section is also very good and make sure to check out the cellar select rack which is a special group of affordable yet really awesome wines. As for the liquor selection its great for mainstream and some harder to find things. That said they don’t carry small batch or rare selections. The prices on what they carry is almost always the cheapest around and if your patient everything goes on sale at some point. So I just wait until what I want is on sale and buy 2 bottles. They have a nice email newsletter they send out with the sales and other promotions they run so you can plan ahead.
