Well stocked new and used bookstore that is organized and spacious. The Book Cellar is a regular haunt for me. I tend to scout out the 95 cent shelf for hidden treasures. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Cool rewards program as well. They’ll also keep an eye out for books you may be hunting for. Great selection of children’s books. Worth a visit.

I just happened to stop by here for some reading material for an upcoming flight and happened to find that they were having a sidewalk sale. All of the books outside were $ 1-$ 3 and they had a great selection. The woman working up front was super friendly but not overbearingly so. I will definitely return to this bookstore!

The Book Cellar gets kudos in my book(ha!) for paying attention to what most other used bookstores ignore– non-fiction. While they have several sections of general fiction and mysteries, science fiction/fantasy, romance, etc., about half of the store is devoted to non-fiction. There’s a large cooking section, a decent sports section(with a lot of baseball titles), film, music, philosophy, sociology, science, etc. Non-fiction even get a section on the new/bestseller racks. There’s also a large children’s area in the back and some quality wooden games/puzzles/toys front and center when you walk in. Their stock is a good mix of used paperbacks and new overstock/cut-outs. Consequently, there’s a lot of peaks and valleys in what they have– some demi-obscure titles mixed in with several new copies of a more popular title that didn’t sell so well elsewhere. They seem to do a large trade in used textbooks as well. Definitely worth a look if you are in the area!

This review is based on the Nashua retail store. The Book Cellar retail store is located in the Westside Plaza next to Marshall’s. This store sells new and moslty used books with prices at least 50 percent off the list price. Out in front of the store, there are bargain books tables with drastic savings. This store has a big selection of used children’s books and religious books in back of the store. They also carry the popular genres such as fiction, biography, history, travel, and more. They have a decent selection of 99 cent VHS movies and discounted DVDs. While shopping here, I did snag a couple used travel books for some interesting reading, which were priced 70 – 80 percent off list. Used books/movies less than 15 years old are accepted here to sell or to donate, but some genres including computer books are not accepted. All sales are final.
