I found VC Lampwork on Etsy while looking for a piece of jewelry for my husband that would memorialize our treasured dog that had recently passed away. Frankly, I was very anxious about sending a bit of her ashes across the country to a stranger. Our grief was very new and painful. I conversed with Vangie a bit through Etsy and was struck by her sincerity. When she invited me to visit her Facebook page, I saw that an entire community existed there that offered support and healing. I could see that Vangie saw her work as sacred and would truly respect my loved ones’ remains. After momentary panic as I handed over Rossi’s boxed up ashes at the PO, I was comfortable in my decision and waited for the bead to arrive. In a short time we received a beautiful silver cored glass bead made to the specifications Vangie and I had discussed. It is a gorgeous, symetrical, luminous piece that my husband will wear forever, keeping his friend close at all times. Vangie makes so much more than beads, she facilitates healing.
