I cannot recall the last time I went into a Walgreens, but was in need of a passport photo. I entered the store and walked to the photo center, finding no one, I walked back to the front cashier. The Cashier was replacing price tags and failed to stop her side work when she I asked her for assistance with my photo. I waited at the photo center for 4 – 5 minutes and no one responded to the page for assistance. I then walked to the other side of the store to locate an employee for help. When I did locate an employee, she first needed to search the store for the«correct» person to help me; for her only to discover that the«correct person» was at lunch. She then complained loudly about this. It then took over 20 min to take and process the passport photo. The employee did not know how to bypass the collection of personal information I declined to provide, the internet coupon looked-up prior to my visit on the walgreens website did not work, and then the printed for the price sticker to ring me up jammed. It was almost comical. Except that spent 30+ minutes waiting for a single passport photo.

Back to CVS I go! Got an email saying my prescription was ready. When I arrived at the counter, they said it wasn’t ready, the RX number in the email isn’t correct(the email from Walgreens), and it will be 20 minutes. It’s been more & it’s just a tube of zinc oxide! Really?!

I’m beginning to wonder why I put myself through the torment of trying to have prescriptions filled here. Recently, I’ve seen an uptick in medications required by my family. We’ve used this location mostly out of a factor of convenience — it’s situated pretty close to home, meaning a run out to get something filled can be handled pretty quickly. The problem arises in the fact that the past several meds that we’ve tried to have filled have not been in stock. The one I’m currently in the midst of tracking down isn’t common, but past drugs/supplies have been beyond commonplace and totally out of stock — we’re either sent to the Main Street location or told in so many niceties that we’re out of luck. Every time. Extra star is for the convenience and the fact that, at least usually, the pharmacists are nice about it. Might want to look into somewhere else if you’re looking for a «regular» pharmacy.
