I will say I was skeptical after booking this suite and reading the reviews but I will say overall I was impressed. Upon arrival, staff were not on site when I arrived, which initially I thought was a little strange but I didn’t mind at all. An envelope with my suite key and booking information was enclosed with a map of facility. Entry way was a bit dated and had a strange odor, but was clean. My suite(the Fern Solarium) was spacious, clean, updated, comfortable, and warm. I was thoroughly impressed. Bathroom was small but«doable». Suite had a small kitchen with microwave, small refrigerator, sink/counter with small 2 person table. Main room had a king size, comfortable bed, decorated cute with fireplace(electric). A third room had the hot tub surrounded by Windows, overlooking the woods and an outdoor wedding area. Hot tub temp was perfect. I was impressed with this facility and would recommend and return. The paint color choices were calm, inviting and great.

They get two stars because the Sweetheart Cabin is fairly decent and come at a good price. However, the management is ABSOLUTELY the worst. First of all, they are hardly there — after 7PM all staff is gone and reservation staff is only there Wednesday to Saturday. They often don’t pick up their phones. I switched from a three night stay to a two night stay and they have confirmed that this change falls under their rescheduling policy. I am owed a refund of $ 172.50 as of September 1st, 2015, and today is September 16, 2015 and I received no refund. I repeatedly contacted the merchant, via email and via Phone — still no refund. I had to file a dispute with Discover to get this resolved. In addition, their so called«out door BBQ grill» is just a beat up Weber unit that’s hardly usable. It falls into pieces as soon as you try to move it. It also looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for eons which is absolutely disgusting. The hot tub is nice, but they put WAY too much bleach in it that my whole body felt being burnt. It was an okay experience there had the refund process went more smoothly, but I can’t say I’ll be returning there and neither would I recommend to anyone else. You’d be better off going to a more mainstream hotel.

Staff is hard to find. An emergency # is given on your door but it states if you call an not an emergency we could be charged $ 200. So when we couldn’t figure out the unique shower control, we didn’t want to call the # but couldn’t find any staff. Once I did find a staff member she said she was new and didn’t know how they worked. Thank god we were able to Google how it worked. The room we were in #6, had a private balcony. Room was small. Don’t want to be oversized to get by hot tub and into closet size bathroom or claustrophobic. We didn’t experience any bad smells like other reviews, but not being able to control the temperature of our run stunk. We had exhaust fan and the very dusty ceiling fan. Still was hit all night. Furniture was out dated. Hot tub base needs painted and steps would be helpful. Not the janky step stool we were given that slips on the very dirty grout floor. For the price it was good but not high class. May or may not return?

We stayed here a night and at the Story Inn a night while having a girls weekend in Little Nashville. As for the Abbey. It was was a girls weekend not a romantic one but I would have just given the Abbey 3 stars.. It felt old and out dated and cheezy. The downstairs room was extremely hot and humid smelling of chlorine. The office closes super early but luckily they left an emergency number. We had an emergency! We hoped to make the best of it and got our suits on. a couple of beer to soak in the Jacuzzi. the ceiling was leaking aggressively. We were worried the ceiling would give way and a Jacuzzi would fall on us. They were unable to fix it but did move us upstairs. The upstairs room wasn’t as hot or humid and the air didn’t wreck of chlorine. But by that time we were just tired and over the Jacuzzi. I have a Jacuzzi so that’s not a big deal for vacations. The lake behind the Abbey was mossy and gross. not lovely as we’d expected. we did have a decent time but that was more to do with the company and our cup half full personalities.

Unlike one of the other reviewers, my wife and I came here for a couple of days during some of the hottest days of the summer. It was a get away present from some good friends of ours. The place itself is quiet and clean. We had the place to ourselves, and so it added to the experience. We felt like the king and queen of the mansion. It was nice to have a hot tub in the room, even when it was 100 degrees outside. The only complaint about it though, is that we cannot control the temperature, and we cannot turn it off. So after a hot day in Nashville, the hot tub at 104 degrees was not as appealing as it could have been if it were not so hot. But yes, it is a hot tub, not a warm tub, so I understand. They have a nice bed in the room. King sized. We had a nice porch with a spiral staircase leading to the bottom floor. There is a movie section to choose from. The location is nice. Tucked away in between Nashville and Brown County State park. Also, you cannot control the AC for the room, so because it was extremely hot outside and the fact that there is a hot tub in the bedroom, not the bathroom, it made the room a little uncomfortable for a vacation(it was in the low 80s in the room). It was a good experience overall, and it looked like a nice place to get married. They have a nice marriage chapel inside and outside.

For nearly one stop shopping for a garden wedding in Nashville, this is the place to go. They offer many packages to accommodate Wedding parties from 2 to 75. With everything from clergy to photographer in one place, they take many headaches out of planning a wedding, especially an encore wedding. The few drawbacks are: One of the managers is a snobby condescending witch, and you know the saying«One bad apple…» They can be inflexible about customizing their packages. But the beauty of the backdrop pretty much makes up for the drawbacks. (The Abbey also is a green hotel with many romantic hot tub rooms.)

Stayed here a few winters ago for 2 nights. This place is a honeymoon destination but is also nice when you need to get out of town and relax. Best place for a quiet relaxing vacation to Indiana’s finest wineries and artists colony. Nearby you will find little boutiques, shops and one of the more beautiful parts of Indiana, Brown County State Park. Make sure to reserve online during the winter months and Sunday through Thursday is buy one night get one free. Great for a mini vacation out of the big bustling city. Every room has it’s own individual hot tub that is kept extremely clean. remember when visiting brown County you are visiting the woods. Mist likely all youll find is Lady bugs. But be prepared for everything.
