Bruegger’s!!! Love them, but I think it is hit or miss on the food. Meaning some of the items a top notch, the others, are so so. This location is by Vandy. We came regularly during the summer time as camps are held on campus. The staff seemed really friendly. I don’t know anything about it being busy during the school day hours, so can’t write anything there. We order bagel sandwiches, cookies and soup. Soup rotates. As they were not that busy, they chatted with my son and told me the best soups to try. I really felt good about coming here every day during camp. The Lox was always fresh and they have seasonal cream cheese. Coffee is OK, but I don’t know if I am ignorant, or just sometimes going for caffeine. I don’t like it as much as another sandwich breakfast place we frequent. Parking can be on the street, or the lot next door. Pretty seemless for downtown. Dining room was clean and on campus. Not much more a student or faculty could want.

Really fresh bagels. Almost as good as NY bagels! Really friendly and helpful staff. This will definitely be my coffee/bagel go-to next time I’m in the area.

I’m form Louisiana where we also have no real bagels, here I was able to get a variety of freshly baked bagels with a large selections of cheeses and spreads ! I was very happy ! Closest thing to an NY bagel around

Well I live in Kansas, the land of no real boiled bagels. I celebrate Brueggers Bagels, awesome chewieness. I recommend the egg, sausage, provolone on pumpernickel not toasted or the honey walnut on cinnamon sugar.

I am so sad I’m giving this place 3 stars because it’s so close to my work. The five years I’ve worked next to this place, today was my first time during lunch. I got there around 11:45 and it was already busy. The line was pretty slow. I ordered tomato bisque with half chicken salad sandwich. I hate to say it but it’s mediocre. It’s good but nothing crazy. It didn’t make me say wow. Will I come back again? Yes. I’d like to try their other menu items. Maybe I didn’t order the right foods.

Halfway through my Multi-grain bagel and sorry but this is barely worth 2 stars. Firstly my multi-grain bagel is extremely salty and I realize that when dealing with dough you have to add salt. It’s part of the chemistry but a multi-grain bagel shouldn’t be so salty its only appropriate for a savory experience. I got strawberry cream cheese and the combination is borderline inedible. Secondly its also a turn off that this particular bagel was obviously stored next to the onion bagels or any of the bagels with onion in them. Again, inedible with strawberry cream cheese. Onions and strawberries don’t mix.

The service here isn’t terrible but the employees are like robots and most refuse to smile. The bagels aren’t that great. If you want Brueggers, take the short trip to the store on Harding Pike, that place is the best.

Brueggers has the best breakfast bagel sandwiches. The bagels themselves are delicious and they always cook the bacon so that it is crispy, which I really like. For lunch, the grilled cheese with Muenster and cheddar cheese is fantastic! I also really love the broccoli cheddar soup that they have, but they don’t seem to have a set soup menu schedule, so I never know when they’re going to have it. Also, they used to have a trio option for lunch where you could get a sandwich, soup or salad, and a drinks or a great price. Please bring this back! This was such a great deal for lunch!

I don’t know why I’ve never been here but today was my first visit to a Bruegger’s Bagel. ever! This was actually kind of exciting for me. For one thing, the experience was super easy– parking garage connected– its free, not really busy, and when I walked in, there wasn’t much of a line and the staff were attentive and fast and there was seating when I know everywhere else is bursting at the seams with people. Anyway, they have chai lattes, which are my favorite plus fresh squeezed orange juice, which is also another weakness of mine. There were so many sandwiches that I wanted to try, but I wound up getting a smoked salmon sandwich, which was really tasty plus the fresh squeezed orange juice. I haven’t had that in bit so that made me super happy! Anyway, I’m definitely coming back. The table booths/seating were comfy and cozy. It felt like a warm, friendly atmosphere. I felt at home. And I definitely need to come back to try their other sandwiches like the pastrami sandwich.

I’m a HUGE Einstein Brothers’ Bagel fan and this place was very similar so I was one happy girl! Got my toasted sesame seed bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a mocha latte to start off my day in Nashville. The location was conveniently located downtown and right across from Vanderbilt So the place was hopping all morning. My client enjoyed an egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel and we both enjoyed our breakfast here at Brueggers.

I had an everything bagel with hummus on the side and a Chai tea. The bagel was good and it surprisingly went well with hummus. I felt a lot healthier too having this combination instead of the usual cream cheese. The Chai tea was bad. It was too sweet. It was pre-made, probably from a package. But it was loaded with sugar, kinda disguating. I definitely would stay away from this drink. Maybe I will give their coffee a try next time.

I agree with the majority of the commenters here… the staff here is HORRIBLE, starting with the Asst. Manager who lets them be as rude as they want. You wonder why all of the restaurants nearby are packed and this one is empty. Don’t go.

I went in to Bruegger’s today for a quick lunch. I ordered the smoked salmon bagel sandwich(I’m on a bizarre smoked salmon kick), and it was a little disappointing. The lady taking my order didn’t speak loudly enough for me to hear her… at all. The assembly of the sandwich was ridiculous– I’m a fan of cream cheese, but there was about three times the amount that need to be on the sandwich so that the bagel hole was actually completely filled with cream cheese. The capers were squirted onto the sandwich so that they were really dense in one area and no where to be found on the rest of the sandwich. The red onion on it was from the outer, coarse layer of an onion that I usually throw away because of the texture. The sandwich also took about 6 minutes to construct– it shouldn’t be that challenging. After paying for my sandwich and a bottle of water, it cost about $ 10.00, which is a little steep for a bagel sandwich. To top it off, after I returned to my car parked in the designated parking garage, I had a $ 40.00 ticket. I was only parked there for about 10 minutes total so I have no idea what this was for. The parking sitch further frustrated my already negative lunch experience. All in all, if you can walk there, it’s a decent option for a quick bagel. Don’t try to branch out into their other menu offerings.

great quality food. staff sometimes leave something to be desired. they have 1 hour parking behind them in the garage. sometimes the lines can be huge so don’t go if you are in a hurry but if you have time they are awesome

A bagel is a sometimes food for me. I am not really a bread guy, but I’ve get a craving for a bagel, probably because my mother ate them. There’s not really any good local places, but there are some decent chains that can handle them. Until Einstein Brothers gets up to Nashvillle from Franklin, Breugger’s is about the best in town. Their prices are reasonable, nothing great, but they pay attention to your order, and I know that when I order something, it will come out right. And, as far as Vandy-centric establishments go, it’s right there with Chipotle as your safest bet.

The breakfast bagels(specifically the Sriracha Egg Sandwich and the Western) are, as my girlfriend and I would say, mediocre at best(3 stars). Onto the problems: Their espresso machine was«broken» and the bathroom was disgusting. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or tended to in a few weeks. No paper towels, stopped up toilet filled to the brim with poo water, and other things you want to see at a restaurant you just ate breakfast at. Would not visit again.

The four stars is mostly for their amazing hazelnut coffee. So, so good. As for the bagels: We had the ‘everything bagel’ and the jalapeño cheese bagel, both with cream cheese. Both were good and satisfying, but nothing special. I think this place is worth another shot to see what else they have. But mostly, their hazelnut coffee is where it’s at!

2013⁄016 Disclaimer: I have made my own bagels in the past, only to have native New Yorkers tell me that real bagels are made with New York water. I stopped making them because you really do need the time to boil the bagels before baking them. And I was not about to import NY water, either, just to satisfy the palate of a few transplants. So, I rarely order bagels. Plus, they are«heavy» bread to me and make me full far longer than I want them to. I came into Bruegger’s expecting them to be an Einstein’s or other bagel place back home. And they certainly seemed like it. They offer both sweet and savory bagels, and sweet or savory cream cheese. They offer breakfast and lunch sandwiches made with bagels(of course). They offer coffee. I made the mistake of ordering a savory bagel(everything) with a sweet cream cheese(Vermont maple). I realized my error when I took a bite with onion bits mixed in with a sweet cream cheese. It was not very good together. That was my mistake. I’m sure separately or with matching cheese, they would be delicious. The place had plenty of seating. And free wifi. Lots of students studying here, since it’s right across from campus. The cheap bagels make for a cheap lunch or breakfast, perfect for a student budget. It got busy really quickly during lunch time.

I love there bagels for breakfast and brunch… but I have never tried anything else… they have soups and sandwiches… give them a try I highly recommend them… located near Vanderbilt university!!! Whenever I go here, I have to park on the street with my flashers on… and I worry while I am in there, but I am always getting something to go and they are delightfully fast… so far… NO Problem. I am definitely going to go back and try this restaurant for lunch. They have so many bagel choices. my personal favorites are ONION, EVERYTHING and Originial… but there are other varieties as well to enjoy… Check them out… grab a bagel, coffee or tea and ENJOY!!!

«It’s Brueggers… how bad can it be?» you might ask. While you may be thinking it in your head, their staff is busy taking this as a personal challenge to make you the most disgusting sloppy sandwiches and wilty salads that swim in goopy dressing. The cookies and other baked goods are cement stale, the place is like a zillion degrees and if you are looking for some sort of soup/salad combination, just get a salad because they drowned it in so much dressing it becomes a liquid any how. The only imaginable upside to this place should be the price, but they are tricky here as well. You are pretty much going to pay the same price as you would at Panera. On the plus side, apparently folks have caught on that this place is skeazy, so you won’t have a problem finding a seat and the WiFi is free so you can sit and find a new restaurant nearby based on positive Unilocal reviews.
