One of the better Chuys I have ever been to. The jalapeño ranch dip is AMAZING! It’s in midtown so there is no parking but there is valet. It’s super busy on the weekends but its a fun vide and within walking distance to great bars. Always a solid choice.

I keep trying to give Chuy’s a chance(okay, this was only the second time) but I won’t be returning again. The waitstaff just really seems to feel like they don’t particularly want you there. The food is very oily(especially the chips) and made me feel a bit sick. Actually, all I can really say about the food is the portion sizes are big, which I guess is why it’s a little expensive for general tex-mex. They charge you extra for things like a side of sour cream… which was strange because the meal I ordered — a burrito and taco plate — should have come with sour cream to begin with. I think they expect you to ask for items that you anticipate coming with your meal, then an extra 4 bucks shows up on your check at the end of the night. Anyway, just not worth it. Especially since you’ll probably also have to pay for parking during busy times.

Love this place. I first ate here a year ago when I first moved to Nashville and it’s been a favorite of mine every since. Everyone there was nice and the shrimp chimichanga is AMAZING. It’s even better with their awesome creamy jalapeño dip. I can eat this stuff on literally everything lol. The drinks are nicely made and the bartenders are probably my favorite part of going to Chuys. Keep it up guys!

Awesome service, awesome food. Awesome atmosphere ! Lived in Texas for 6months and never seen a chuys there! So I’m glad the dancing alligators or frogs or whatever the heck is on the roof caught my fiancées attention ! Haha everyone loved the food and the margaritas were legit as well

Not quite my spot for Mexican food when in Nashville. I had fajitas and it was a miss. I’m willing to give it another shot. :-)

Why have I not had this place before?! Chuy’s has a fun atmosphere and pretty good food. My boyfriend and I shared the Pancho’s chicken appetizer, and that was enough to fill both of us up! They have a great happy hour and at $ 4.50, you can’t beat that margarita special. However, the single best thing on the menu is the creamy jalapeño sauce. It is amazing and good on every item on the menu. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I don’t think their salsa is anything to write home about. Overall, good atmosphere, pretty decent service, and fair pricing. I will definitely return.

Wasn’t that impressed, the food was too spicy for me. Service was very slow. It was extremely loud in there to the point of giving me a headache. The style was very cute. It did feel a bit cluttered with too many tables. I probably won’t be back.

Food was excellent and arrived very fast! Server was really good, with the exception of his limited knowledge of Happy Hour and drink selection. Will definitely be back

We went to the Texas A&M/Vanderbilt game. During third quarter, we attempted to eat at Chuy’s. We asked if we could sit in the bar area and were told to seat ourselves. We were there over half an hour. After asking multiple servers for assistance and being told«you will be helped shortly» we left for Broadway Brewhouse across the street. Not before asking for a manager and informing 3 employees(plus some) at the host stand that we were leaving, to purchase alcohol and food at another establishment. Verbatim the gentlemen at the host stand said«let me get someone who cares, oh wait, no one does». Thanks Chuy’s, I used to patronize your Birmingham location regularly but never will again. This Texas girl will do everything in her power to keep the Nashville Crew away from your establishment!

Holy taste buds! This place is awesome! I’ve been a few times now. Once I dined in with several friends and the other time I ordered to go(which is a task on a Sunday night). When I ate there, the star of the show was the server, Zack. We had a 15 top and he was one of the best servers I’ve had. He worked his butt off. He didn’t ‘grat’ us, which I was surprised about. He probably made out better though, honestly. Anywho, I had the enchiladas the first time. I didn’t have high hopes… as I’m from New Mexico. I know enchiladas. I was pleasantly surprised. The blue corn tortillas weren’t greasy, which was a nice change. I’m not a big fan of chicken with my red enchiladas though… but it was decent. The sides were good. When I got a to go order from there, they put the sauce on the side, which was thoughtful. I had the shrimp stuffed chile rellenos. It was soooo good! They were crisp, and big, and just mouthwatering. I’ll be stopping back by Chuy’s when I hit up Nashville next time!

Chuy’s hits the spot. Their chips/salsa/jalapeño ranch are almost too good. Like I can’t stop eating them and have no room for real food good. Their tortillas are handmade and are delicious. I order different things every time, but I like to make sure that I get something in one of those tortillas! Service can be great or fine. I can’t recall a time where it has been bad. Their happy hour is strong with a free nacho bar and drink specials. Chuy’s is a fun place to go with a lively atmosphere that will most likely please everyone.

I hade the fish tacos, very flavorful and big. big piece of fish not the chunks like you usually get. Chips and ranch sauce was awesome. Husband had beef taco salad. He was disappointed that it was cold. Waiter wasn’t the best. We would come back.

I have heard mixed reviews about Chuy’s and thought what better way to give it a try then with my foodie loving co-workers. We arrived shortly after noon, the valet attendants were busy so we decided to self park due to limited time. Luckily there was one parking spot left in the back of the restaurant. The hostess greeted us and asked our preference indoor or patio seating. Even though it was the prettiest fall day we opted for indoors to enjoy the beautiful décor. Our server was nice, helpful, and attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the warm chips & salsa as we reviewed the menu. I decided on the Monday special chicken enchiladas with green chile avocado sauce served with chile rice and refried beans. My beverages were a water and a blackberry margarita that I shared with my co-worker. It was so good that I wanted another but had to go back to work #think responsibly. My entrée was seasoned well with Mexican spices, fresh tortillas, and ripe avocado. It was delicious! For dessert we shared the Tres Leches and omg words can’t describe the deliciousness. It is a square sponge-like cake saturated in three different types of milk and sitting in a pool of Crème Fraiche, topped with strawberry slices and decorated with caramel. It was absolutely delicious! It will make you say oooohhh, aaaahhh, and yum after every bite. I had a great experience fresh food, filling portions, relaxing lunch atmosphere, sanitized bagged utensils, clean restaurant, friendly staff, mouth watering Tres Leches cake, & complimentary valet parking.

This visit was a Monday evening around 6pm. I was warmly greeted and quickly seated. It wasn’t too busy, but as I ate, a steady stream of parties flowed in. To start, you get a basket of thin, crispy corn chips and two types of sauce, a garlic ranch and a tomato picante. I love their tomato picante sauce, which seems fresh-made — it’s full of flavor and leaves a fresh taste and goes great with the thin chips. I ordered the Veggie enchiladas, minus cheese, with beans, rice and guacamole. It arrived quickly and was full of flavor. The food is good, but not remarkable, not like a gourmet or high end place, which shouldn’t be expected here. The server was prompt and courteous and I enjoyed the upbeat music and fun atmosphere.

Very good soft tacos and rice. But no shredded chicken or pork. The rice was fine. Not special. I did not like the refried beans but my Dad did. They make it especially hard on the handicapped person with the door in the front & valet on the side. Reasonable but I’ve had way better Tex Mex.

Nashville Chuy’s is seriously such a great location. If you’re lucky, you can find a parking spot and leave your car in midtown and über your way around the city after a meal at Chuys! So obviously this is a chain, and I usually hate chains, but not this one! I have honestly never had a bad experience at The Nashville Chuys, and I come here at least twice month. If you’re looking for somewhere with great ambiance, yummy Tex Mex and great tequila then I encourage you to check it out! If you’re looking for a low key/relaxing dining experience then I would pass on Chuys. It tends to get very noisy. Some tips! –order creamy jalapeño! It’s free and I literally drench my meal in it –they have free valet –during the week they have happy hour with a free nacho and taco bar! Yes… free food and cheap margs! –THEYHAVESHINERBOCK! Seriously though, not enough restaurants have it in nash

It gets LOUD in there during lunch. Service was friendly but swamped and didn’t get requested sauces to me until I was finished eating. Food was decent; the guac side was fantastic and fresh but boosted at the bottom by a bed of shredded lettuce, queso was made from fresh cheese but still not awesome, refried beans were pretty good but cheesed and obviously not made that day. Really enjoyed the enchiladas, might try the salad with chicken and avocado next time instead though. Then there was the art on the walls. Uh. Buncha suspicious people all looking sideways at the painting on their right. «Places to not go while shrooming, check.»

Addicted. Completely addicted. It makes my heart sad that Chuy’s is a chain, but when you think about it, that means we have access to creamy jalapeño ranch in(12) states. Goodbye sadness, hello pure joy. Free chips, salsa and jalapeño ranch(they call it creamy, weird name, but get over it as it probably has more friends than you do on Facebook). Chips are super thin & are addicting without any dip. Salsa is a hit or miss — you can tell they make it fresh since it always tastes slightly different. Plates are huge. Be prepared to be rolled home. Taco salad, chicken tacos, taquitos, green chili rice(waaaay better than the regular rice), wild burrito and the tortilla soup are some of my favorites. Warning for my fellow cheese-avoiders: Chuy’s melts cheese onto all their burrito tortillas even if not listed as an ingredient on the menu. Best advice I can give: order the tres leches(traditional Latin cake) and thank me later. Happy face stuffing!
