Great for the price! Definitely get the soup(not the salad) and use it for bread dipping. Delish. I had the spaghetti and meatballs — it was ok. I had a few bites of my friend’s steak and it was awesome. Again, for the price, it’s great. If you want something fancier I’d go to a steakhouse.

Went to Demo’s on a recommendation from Big John at Bridgestone Area. Food was delicious, reasonably priced and topped of with excellent service. If you are in the mood, one of their signature drinks is a nice addition to your meal.

Service is 10⁄10 but food is like 7⁄10 because I ordered their Garlic Buttered Pasta and it’s like tasteless. It’s like I am eating oil and pasta. Shoutout to our server, who’s been working there for 17 years.

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. But unfortunately Unilocal doesn’t let you… First off Beatrice was a wonderful sweet and amazing server! But the food was inedible. From the soda to the appetizers to the alcohol to the meal. My Sprite had no syrup in it, it tasted like soda water… But then I got a vodka soda, I’m pretty sure they put water in it… I couldn’t drink it at all I had to send it back and I hate doing that First off we ordered nachos and meatballs(the meatballs were good) we got the nachos… The chicken was freezing and they just sprinkled cheese on, it wasn’t even melted? Weird. I chose to get a basic salad with steak and made sure to ask that there was no cucumbers on it and was assured their wasn’t. And I ordered the steak medium I get my salad with only a few pieces of lettuce. It’s filled with cucumbers! And every other veggie under the sun they could think of… except lettuce? I don’t get it. My steak was soooo well done I couldn’t even chew it. And I ordered a side of has Browns and everyone at my table got them and they were freezing. Needless to say I didn’t eat any of it and I still had to pay for it. Also everyone I was with got burgers and spaghetti and they didn’t eat theirs either. They said the meat tasted off and the spaghetti was Cold. After mentioning it to the cashier that everything was cold and not good… nothing happened Oh well! I’m just not sure how people rave about this place. And we did see many managers walk by our table and no one stopped?

What an experience! I had been to Demos’ once before but it was a couple weeks ago after a Titans game and I was so blacked out that I knocked over the ficus beside the host’s stand. I kept getting dirty looks from both the staff and other customers the rest of my visit. It probably did not help that I(allegedly) kept yelling, «I thought this was America!», every time I finished chugging my virgin appletini. Anyway, I was hoping that no one would be working that was working that fateful Sunday, or at least they would not recognize me. Luckily they did not or they were good at keeping a straight face. I started off with the whole order of Cheese Toast. The waiter insisted that that would be a lot for a single person but I assured him that I was up for the challenge. What the waiter did not warn me of was the fact that I would also be getting a basket of rolls as well. I don’t really remember much of the meal during the bread and cheese toast feeding that I engaged in as it was a whirlwind of delicious buttery carbs that gave me some sort of euphoric numbing feeling that I have never experienced in my entire life. I was almost terrified of what was happening to my body but I quickly realized that the Cheese Toast was just THAT good. I am actually becoming quite aroused just talking about it. I eventually came to and looked at the table and both the cheese toast and rolls had been annihilated. Next up was my entre, The Seafood Stuffed Potato. I was pretty excited about this as I love mediocre seafood. There is something mystical about cheap seafood 400 miles from the nearest ocean that has always been such a rush for me. I regret nothing about this choice. It was a potato with shrimp and imitation crab, Mushrooms, Tomatos, and this incredible creamy white sauce that brought it all together. I am sure that if you are used to eating fresh seafood then this dish may not be very appetizing to you but I failed to put my fork down even one time while I was eating this spud. If this meal didn’t top out at just over 1700 calories and a whole week’s worth of sodium, I would eat this exact same meal every day for the rest of my life. The best part is that every thing is very reasonably priced. I got out of there spending $ 15

My family was visiting Nashville for NYE and we visited Demo’s on New Years day. They seemed very busy, since it was also a Friday night, but we were sat in about 30 minutes. We got a bottle of wine, Moscato, which was delicious. I got the top sirloin and it was cooked perfectly! We loved that you could get spaghetti as a side. We also tried the cheesy bread, which I read on here that it was a must and after tasting it I couldn’t agree more because it was delicious(aka its cheese cheese cheese and bread!)! The proportion was a little small for the price on the bread so heads up on that! We had the greatest server ever(I can’t remember her name) — very outgoing, nice, kept the experience fun, and knew the menu well! I would definitely recommending going here!

So what do you do when you have two minors In tow on Music Row? You look for a really good place to eat. Found Demos on Unilocal, and it was really good. Variety of homemade sauces and salad dressings, and you can sample them all. Cheese toast appetizer was okay– lacking some garlic and quite doughy. Blackened chicken pasta excellent. Lasagna very non-traditional and not liked by the 13 year old. Very reasonable price and friendly and efficient staff. Still better than a chain any day.

Went here while on our honeymoon and it was amazing. We had tickets to the Opry and wanted to find a place that was not to far away. It is about 3 blocks away from the Ryman. We got here and we’re immediately greeted and then seated. At our table we had Emil, strongly suggest you request him, he was very attentive and never let our drinks get below half before he brought us another. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. We got a appetizer, soup, two main courses, two desserts and soda and we spent around $ 44. The food was great I had shrimp scampi and my new wife and had a southwest chicken potato and it was delicious. Strongly recommend

Recommended by a friend to check out the well-priced Italian restaurant in downtown so I brought my boss to come with. First off, ask the hostess how to say the name of the restaurant because you’re probably saying it wrong(unless you’re Italian maybe). The location of Demos is conveniently near Broadway and great for a walk during your lunch hour if you work in downtown. Inside, the atmosphere was bustling as it seemed like all the seats were taken and there were festive Christmas decorations hung everywhere. It seemed busy like I said, but for two, we were instantly seated without having made a reservation(we arrived just before noon). Their basket of bread they serve before you order is fantastic and important to eat since my experience there is that your portions are small. I ordered their baked lasagna and had the wild rice chicken soup as the soup that came with an entrée. The soup was far too salty and definitely the part of the meal I finished last so I wouldn’t recommend the wild rice chicken soup. The lasagna was $ 8 which I thought was cheap until I saw the portion that it came out with. It was basically a one block, one layer lasagna so it didn’t seem like a lot of food. I loaded up on bread before seeing lasagna and after finishing I felt content(with a diet coke mixed in). The rest of the menu looked very affordable, albeit I am betting their portions appeared small as well. The best part though was that the food came out maybe five minutes after ordering which made for a very quick lunch. I think we walked about 7 minutes for one way, and we still returned to our office within 45 minutes.

Love this place downtown Nashville. Let me start off with our waiter his name is Austin we love him he remembers your name ever time we see him and that is about five time or more a year. Our sweet tea never got below half full(they have the simple syrup) make it how you like it. Start off with soup or salad and of corse it the soup Chicken and Rice it like a little bet of heaven the best I’ve ever had the broth I could drink by the glass full. The Blackened Chicken Pasta. Alfredo noodles chunks of chicken a four cheese cream sauce with Peter Ds spices sprinkled on top. The spices they sell at the register. It’s a place everybody in Nashville has to try from pasta to steaks you leave full and still have money in your pocket. And ask for Austin he’s the best.

Ok, let me start off saying I came with coworkers for a work-comped meal and I couldn’t reach the max price limit even when I was trying. I got a specialty drink, main course, and a dessert, and still only spent about $ 20!!! That’s pretty insane. So this place is crazy affordable… but the crazy butter situation means I won’t be back. They put butter on EVERYTHING. Not only that, but they drench the shit out of everything with their butter. It’s pre-diabetes Paula Dean in there! I couldn’t eat much of my food(or anyone elses– we all shared) because of how much butter there was. My stomach got ripped to shreds. So no, I won’t be coming back here because my poor body requires healthier food. They do have a low-calorie menu so maybe if I found myself back here I would try something from that. I really did like the parmiggiano-reggiano complimentary shredded cheese on the table– I ate it while waiting to order. They brought complimentary bread after we ordered and that was light and fluffy and delicious. The Cheese Toast was surprisingly good and we all were quite impressed. The only thing we had that wasn’t dipped in butter was the steamed broccoli– which I ate quite a bit of. the Blackened Chicken Pasta had such an overwhelming flavor that I could only eat one bite. The Oven-baked Chicken Soup was incredibly bland and boring. My Sante Fe Chicken was stringy and overcooked and I couldn’t eat it. It tasted good otherwise but I didn’t like the stuff on top of it. I would’ve just liked the chicken– if it hadn’t been stringy. Everyone came together to help me devoure the Butterfinger Cheesecake. Loved: — Bread — Butterfinger Cheesecake — Cheese Toast — Key Lime Smoothie — Steamed Broccoli Ok: — Blackened Chicken Pasta — Oven-baked Chicken Soup — Homemade Italian Dressing Disliked: — Grilled Chicken Tenderloin — Grilled Zucchini — Santa Fe Chicken

We ate there this evening before the Predator game. The service was friendly and engaging. We had Mike and he was simply wonderful. The third star is just for him! The food was much like other reviews have stated. The bread and baked chicken soup were delicious. The blackened chicken pasta sauce was the best out of the sauces. I was disappointed in the use of canned mushrooms and too little garlic in the mushroom pasta with brown butter dish. My husband’s meatballs were served cold, and the house salad was pretty sad-looking. The price was very affordable and you are given plenty of food. This not a place for foodies but a good place for families.

Love this place! Great Italian food with a variety of different sauces they specialize in making. Order a pasta with up to 3 different sauces! Love the marinara and blackened chicken(white sauce) the best. All ice tea is unsweet but the have a unique way to make yours sweetened… It is liquid sweetener in a syrup jar that you pour into your glass… Sweeten to taste… Perfect! If you are new… Ask to sample the sauces! They used to bring them all to your table with bread to taste them… Free appetizer! Not sure if they still do this any longer! Great servers! You can have a long wait if at dinner hour. So be prepared… Worth it!

Their spaghetti is to die for. I can’t wait to go back and order some more spaghetti. The service was nice and speedy, the ambiance was pleasant, and the food was warm. No complains from this customer everything was positive.

This is not a four star restaurant nor is it what I would say would be a foody’s delight. I it a good quality meal for a great price, but do not compare it to an Italian restaurant in Chicago! So not fair to Demos. It’s more like a diner! I rarely order spaghetti at restaurants because it’s hard to beat or even duplicate what I can get at home! However the meat sauce here is great. The bread is awesome, the iced tea has a wonderful flavor and the pasta is the right consistency! But most importantly, this is the friendliest staff I have encountered in any establishment of any kind in the past 10 years. They are genuinely happy people! Service isn’t dead at Demos! It’s alive and thriving!

Holy hell, this was awesome. A 20 minute wait from the hostess stand, but there were seats at the bar and so that’s where I headed. Great service there from Leann who is an absolute trip. Of course, my new friends who I met sitting next to me helped make it six stars. A guy who just finished his set at Tootsie’s and a gal just getting started in the music business playing a banjo/ukelele. Very interesting conversation and Leann helped keep it moving along. I chose the club steak with their famous brown butter spaghetti. Wow, a ton of garlic in that spaghetti and it was super tasty. Somehow, I managed not to end up wearing any of it. And then the steak. I’ve never had the«club» cut and that will change. This was a good eight ounce piece that was sort of New York strip and sort of tenderloin. Very meaty with not much fat, easy to cut and very easy to eat. Tasty and cooked perfectly to the medium rare that I requested. Did I mention the price yet? Only $ 11 plus drinks. For a steak. That’s a crazy price. Demos’ is a Nashville institution and I can see why. Great food and top notch service. I will return.

Normally when I go for Italian, I typically get a plate of pasta fit for some guy you see in a movie that works for some well organized family hunted by Steven Seagal. This place does not seem to cater to that kind of family. The waiting staff was nice and helpful and the food was good but the portions were more kid menu sized. It all tasted good but I was still hungry when all was said and done. Not all the portions were small but the lasagna I had was. The salad started was the same. Good with a quality dressing but small. The other thing hat was odd was how we paid. You had to pay up front versus at the table. For a small pizza place that is normal but this is a bigger place in downtown Nashville. Even so, it was a nice meal. Reasonable price.

While visiting Nashville I met up with some friends that were in town too and we decided to head out to dinner on a whim, this proved to be a difficult task considering we did not have reservations and many places had an over an hour wait, so we settled on Demo’s, which had no wait, which should have been a sign… Once we arrived we were told there would be about a five minute wait, not bad. Once seated our waiter informed us of the specials, which we all passed on. Some of the entrée’s ordered by the table were the Mexican Spaghetti, which looked like nothing more than spaghetti noodles with beans cheese and salsa. I was told was missing any real flavor or taste. I opted for the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and will say that the sauce tasted like it was out of a bottle from the local grocery store and the chicken tasted like it was frozen just an hour earlier, it lacked any seasoning. Prices were fair and the service here was decent, and I give them credit for moving people in and out without feeling rushed, however I was disappointed with my meal as were the rest or my party. I think I would have rather just ate at Fazolli’s or Olive Garden instead. Next time I will tough it out and wait for something better.
