The walls are so paper thin you are guaranteed to wake up hours before you actually want to. Also none of the bathrooms are updated so when you shower don’t turn the faucet too far or it will stick, leaving the water running and you running to the front desk to call maintenance

Checked in. A police officer told me it’s a place for drugs and prostitution. Checked out. Don’t stay at the Drake Inn.

HEROIN, HOOKERSANDROACHES We made reservations online and pulled into this«famous» Nashville inn thinking it would be fun to stay in a place that the«stars» have stayed in. Upon pulling in to the hotel parking lot, we saw a group of people SHOOTINGUPHEROIN next to the pool where children were playing and PROSTITUTES working out of the rooms. We decided to leave and stay somewhere else as we had a trailer full of gear and didnt feel safe leaving it there. When I spoke with the front desk manager«Anne», she said that it was a gauranteed reservation and we couldn’t cancel. Despite the policy listed on the booking website of only needing to pay one night upon cancellation, she informed us that she would be charging us for the whole reservation, nearly $ 275 regardless if we stayed there or not. Our friends decided to stay there and told us there were cockroaches in the bed, vomit and blood on the carpet and somebody had not flushed the toilet from the previous guest. It’s like the tenderloin in sanfrancisco or skid row in la. Hookers and plenty of crack and crack heads. Some guy was banging on my door at 7 am in the morning asking for weed. It’s hard to tell the employees and the long term guests from the local tweekers. The muscular guy at the front desk though was clutch, he was constantly running off tweekers and was on top of his game. I don’t know your name dude, but get a job at a nicer place, it’s obvious you’re a hard worker. The drake sucked, mostly cause of the smell inside of the room, burn marks in the non smoking room carpet, and we got put by the road, where all the foot traffic is. If you’re going to stay here get a room as far behind the pool as you can. The free wifi connected but was too slow to use. As I walked in the lobby to check in the clutch dude said, «joe?» Showing me there weren’t many reservations, I looked to my left and saw a small man with his shoes off chanting in a chair. He was in the same spot doing the same thing when we left. This place is not for people with money. But if you are going to Nashville and want to spend 32 dollars a night, grab the coupon from the Nashville visitors center. You don’t really want to hang out here though. I slept well both nights.

I’m sorry, but since the 1993 movie that was filmed there, it’s gotten VERY messed up. Has the Drake Inn been the host of any other films? Doubtful, even if the sign in front says«Historic Site: Many Movies Were Filmed Here». The neighborhood is so jacked up, I can’t even take my morning walks without worrying about getting shot, which is ashame because the area, aside from the danger that lurks here, is good. It also doesn’t help that no matter which direction I walk, there’s a risk I’ll get shot. Man…
