Elliston Place Pipe & Tobacco

This is the only place in the Nashville area with a wide and amazing selection of pipe tobacco. Better than that is the prize is unbelievably amazing at almost half the price of other places around town. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

So far this has been the best place in town for pipe tobacco. Now if you want cigars, I don’t know… its possible you need to go somewhere else. Based on name however I think one should consider that this shop is more pipe based and judge it as such. I for one was blown away by their selection. This does leave someone who is a novice feeling really overwhelmed, but despite this the workers have continually been welcoming, patient, and willing to discuss and help you find what kind of tobacco you may be interested in.

great shop. knowledgeable, passionate about tobacco, and friendly. i brought my pipe in and got to sample nearly half a dozen different tobaccos while being expertly guided. i will return!

The guy actually told us to leave, just because my friend didn’t have his ID. We are both 27. Before kicking us out, he actually invited us to read a letter from the state of TN saying why we couldn’t be there. I totally get not wanting to get in trouble, but come on you don’t have to be RUDE about it. This was the first smoke shop I visited in Nashville, and still remains to be my favorite, mainly because of the guys that work there. I absolutely love the way smoke shops smell and this one is no different. There is so much to look at when you come in the store, its a pleasant surprise how many options you can find here especially since it is a pretty small store.
They sell many different types of loose tobacco as well as various pipes and other accessories. They also sell pre-​rolled cigarettes and stuff to roll your own cigarettes if you’re into that.
Their humidor is on the small side but still chock full of great options. The guys that work there truly look like they enjoy being there and that is completely evident if you strike up a conversation with them (which I recommend). Don’t be afraid to pick their brain for recommendations, they’re usually pretty spot on. The prices are pretty good and compare to most of the other smoke shops in the area.
They close pretty early in the evening, around dark, so go early if you want to pick up a cigar to smoke on your night out.

Elliston Place is a friendly neighborhood smoke shop. I started going back in my clove-​smoking days because they were one of two places that carries my brand. They have a great variety of all types of cigarettes and pipe tobacco. They also sell a lot of related accessories including pipes (of course), cases, and flasks. I bought an amazing flask there that was half liquid container and half cigarette holder. It used to get a lot of oohs and ahhs before the sad day when it sprung a leak in the middle.
The guy behind the counter is really friendly, and willing to light a smoke with you and chat if you’ve got time to kill.
