Hard to believe this sort of atmosphere exists in the backyard of a neighborhood like 12South. It’s very sad there are no dads that have the nuts or care to take their son (or daughter) to experience this. People hate on it. But don’t knock it till u try it. The races are awesome. There are 7 or so short races. It’s not a long boring 1 race thing. I’ve obeserved kids at these things and they are captivated. Great energy. Try something new – wear your jorts + flip flops and kick back. Maybe by the olé lady a funnel cake.

Fairgrounds Speedway is a NASCAR racetrack located in the Tennessee State Fairgrounds. The track is .596 miles long and is an 18 degree banked paved oval. Some cool former names were Music City Motorplex, Nashville Speedway USA, and Nashville Motor Raceway.
Saturday, they are having «Family Fun Night» with $ 5 tickets and $ 1 hotdogs. For the kids, they will have face paintings, bouncy houses, balloon art, and snow cones.
