I got to listen to a band decked out in leather bombers, caps and horn Tim glasses play Buddy Holly and Carl Perkins while in the capital of mainstream country music– this place is awesome. Has a feel of the«punk» country bar.

This is the spot where I fell out of place, but still welcomed. This is a location for the not so young, but for those still young at heart. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place during our Saturday night bar crawl. It’s small, but the music is live — some Johnny Cash vibes for you!

I was in town for work and this place had the best band all week. Not busy(Wednesday night) but they took requests and you could tell they were having a blast. $ 3.50PBR cans. I can’t speak for other bands, but the night I was there was awesome.

What bar do you go to in Nashville? Well that’s tough. There is a lot of bar hopping. But this place should be on your list if you appriciate that 70-early 90’s. We was walking by and saw old dudes playing, which if you appriciate music, old dudes are great to watch, just the way they play! Any way, only steel guitar I saw all weekend was in this bar. They pumped out so many classics nobody does, my head almost exploded! Bar tender, someone pointed out she seemed quirky but was delightful, which was a spot on(shout out girl, and if your reading this do your know where the aquarium is lol). Bathrooms! My friends joked I should review this place just because of its bathroom. Cleanest bathroom in nashville! And no body begging for a tip either! I get it dudes got to make a living. But as you figure out nashville is tip based. Which is fine. But I’m tipping bartenders and bands, the last thing I want to do is be guilted in to a tip every time I piss(but if you leave a mess you should you drunk savage!). This place takes me back my little run down looking bars back home! Amazing

Walked in on a whim and fell in love. the band was amazing, the drinks on the cheaper side. its the real Nashville deal. no pretense, nothing canned or inauthentic about the place or who they book. It is one of the main reasons I plan a trip back to Nashville in the near future.

You might have a country-western bar in your town, but you won’t have a bunch of honky-tonks in a row that are anything like Broadway in Nashville. And what’s great about this location is that these establishments force the performers to be better and better. And that’s what happened here at the Full Moon Saloon. Not quite as loud as some of the neighboring joints and there were a couple of seats at the bar. This is something I like. I don’t need my ears blasted, thanks. More volume don’t mean better quality. So when I walked past Full Moon Saloon, I went inside. From a seat at the bar, I was able to shout Blue Moon to the bartender. And with a beer in hand, I turned and watched a performer who knew how to play, how to work the crowd an especially, how to entertain. This kind of music isn’t my thing, but I can appreciate an artist at work. And that’s what I did. Looking for a good time on Broadway? Try Full Moon Saloon.

The band that was playing here last night was awesome, it’s kind of a folk and country mixture rather than just plain country. It’s a more relax place as you could sit down and listen to songs all night.

Awesome little place. Love the fact that this place plays classic country rather then pop country… I for sure will swing in next time I am heading down town.

Good music. We saw two bands here in one night. The beer was cold and the staff was friendly

Good music and decent prices for the area, which tends to be over priced coconsidering the bar doesn’t pay for entertainment, but the young bartender lady was pretty nasty. maybe she was just having a bad day, but she ruined it for us. the bathroom is pretty nasty too, but usable.

We were in Nashville during the CMA Festival completely coincidentally, so things were a little difficult during the 24 hours we had in the city. After making our way into another bar where some idiots(pardon my language, but they were obviously not making good decisions) were doing«the worm» on a wooden dance floor in tube top belly shirts, we came here. Sorry, but that’s splinter city, so you’re an idiot if you do that. Anyways, after getting completely turned off by that bar, we came here and really enjoyed a nice end to our evening. One of the reasons I love Nashville is that it feels like an «older» city. Less people my age and more people at least a decade or two older than me that really appreciate good music. Traditional country music(eh, Robert’s Western World, right… Brazilbilly, am I right?!) is much more enjoyable than the mainstream Taylor Swift crap, so this bar really delivered when we saw a live steel guitar and people that were older than us(call me ageist or judgmental, but I don’t like people my age that much…). It was calm, there weren’t «woo girls» walking around, and the service was pretty good(though the ladies behind the bar could have shown less boob). I really feel like this is a good bar and had I spent more time and deliberately gone here, I could say more, but I know I will more than likely be back.

We saw the best band on Broadway at this bar!!! The bar is on the smaller side with less atmosphere than most. They could turn down the sound a few decibels because the band would have been just as good without me leaving with hearing loss. The 2nd night they had a pretty good group as well.

I wasn’t here long, but it’s a small bar, with an ok band, and a very kind of dark and not happening vibe. It felt like I had stepped off Broadway into a very sad place. There was only one(very good, mind you) bartender and a much more chill crowd. It wasn’t a bad place, just not a god place for hanging out and having drinks with friends. Nothing wrong but… nothing right… that make any sense? I know this is a short one but I had one beer and then was like, yeah no thanks.

Smoking allowed…$ 6 – 25 for 1coke and 1 Budweiser Cheap beer… we went to a few places downtown on Broadway while waiting on the show at Ryman Auditorium. We were on the way to see«Ghost Brothers of Darkland County» so we had some time to enjoy downtown nightlife. Tony likes this bar because it is one of the few he can actually drink at and Smoke at the same time. This is one of the bars that you can NOT take your underage children into. Some of the locations you can take minors into until 8pm((I think that is the time frame)) There was a band there. A man and woman singer. They were okay. NOT the BEST!!! They also tried to joke around a lot but it wasn’t funny. All of these locations are small and narrow and they get crowded fast. But at least the crowds come and go if you sit still long enough. I would go here again! They love the Tourist here! Remember the bands play by tips only!!!

Walked in The Wheel and the guitar player said hi in the middle of a Johnny Cash song. Then we threw some money in the jar and asked him to play some Hag and he did. Ohhhh I see how this works! Turns out the guy’s name is Heath Haynes and he and the Hi Dollar Band play around the neighborhood a lil bit. Kickin band and a cool guy. Haynes says it’s a tip-driven economy and he’s right. Go to The Wheel w a pocket full of five dollar bills and throw some at that jar and have a ball. Hey Heath! Still the hottest band on the strip! Can’t wait to get back.

I took my work mates out on a little honky tonk action on a Wednesday night and somehow we ended up wandering in to the Full Moon Saloon. Can’t believe I haven’t hit this place up yet! So as other reviewers have said, this is a dive, like a true honky tonk really should be. It is smoky, it is a bit dirty, it is totally fun! I love all that in a bar so I felt immediately at home. The night we were there a band was playing that really just played old country hits. They were taking requests the entire evening and since we clearly were the most drunk and rowdy, they basically played an entire set based on our recommendations. When I say old country, I mean old. Like John Anderson Swingin or Ronnie Millsap anything. You better not think about yelling out Taylor Swift! or Blake Shelton! because they ain’t playin it. I am very interested to come back and check out the rockabilly stuff that they apparently have going on all the time… I love that stuff! The bartender was nice and as others have said the drinks were potent. That’s how I like them. I am not so sure my friends were as pleased when they said for me to get them what I was getting and I came back with vodka and a splash of soda. No biggie, I drank theirs too. Ha! This place and the Wheel may soon rival each other as my favorite honky tonk. Dirty, divey, and perfect!

This was another one of the bars we stopped at on our quick tour or Broadway. I loved the band here(that is what brought us in)… Not much else to say here other then this was small place but fun. Kinda dead inside but hey, it was 4 in the afternoon. On a side note it was fun to watch the motorcycle get towed from the fire lane across the street while were here! Don’t think the biker guy thought it was funny though…
