I think this is starting to seem like an antiquated system of business. There are rarely deals worth going there for and the staff barely knows anything about the games.
Most of the staff at every store tells me that they don’t make enough to afford the systems that they sell. This location has good customer service but the staff doesn’t know much about anything. This could also be because the developers of games are keeping secrets.
I want to go into GameStops but it is always a let down.

Who doesn’t like GAME STOP??? RIGHT???
Today, Noël and I went shopping there. She is a huge SIMS fan. I got her started years ago. I stopped at Sims 1… but not my baby girl. she is a fanatic and she just had to have the Sims 4. so she took her first full pay day from Petsmart and purchased the Deluxe Edition and spent $ 87…I call that SIMS DEDICATED… lol!
The stores are never large but they are packed full of FUN.
You can reserve games here if you want to make sure you get the one you are wanting when it arrives. they also have a Rewards card that gives you points and great discounts… Not free but gives you 12 months Free of Game Informer Magazine with the paid membership.
You can also purchased used games that they guarantee, much safer than buying used at yard sale or flea market… We enjoy shopping at Game Stop…

The problem with GameStop is rarely the staff. The problem is the overall corporate culture of profit. Gamers aren’t out to make money, they just want to play cool games. From that point of view you can almost always talk to the staff about the latest cool game, but when it comes time to ORDER said game, that’s when the marketing starts. Do you want to pre-order. How about the Hint Book? Hey, why don’t you join our reward program. When you are done with the game, bring it back and trade it for pennies on the dollar for another game. Lather, rinse, repeat.
If you don’t mind this aspect of things, or steel yourself against it beforehand, you will have a good experience. Otherwise, Amazon is a better choice to buy your games.
