Delectable! This sweet little store in Edgehill village has it all– perfect gelato in an appetizing array of flavors, clean and adorable décor and vibe, super helpful staff, and even additional tasty treats at checkout.(The chocolate pistachios I bought were Ah-mah-zing!) Do yourself a favor and indulge!

If you like gelato and walking around a cute neighborhood, then you need to come here! There are a lot of boutiques and random stores located here along with Taco Mamacita and this pizza parlor that I haven’t checked out yet. The store is very small and simple, but that’s what makes it super cute! It literally looks like something you would find on pinterest or tumblr. So for all you basic girls, like me, this is your spot to selfie away. Another plus about legato gelato is that they give you’re able to sample all the flavors before deciding on which ones you want. I got a small, so I was able to pick out three different flavors. I think you get to pick out four for a large. I got passionfruit, stracciatella, and chocolate hazelnut. The flavor that really stood out for me was the stracciatella. It is a sweet vanilla flavor with hints of chocolate chips in each bite. YUMS! They also serve other desserts here, but I haven’t had a chance to try anything besides the gelato. All in all, if you’re looking for a place to battle the summer heat or just want to satisfy your sweet tooth, then come grab some gelato from Legato!

About 8 generic flavors and no toppings at all… not even some syrup for flavor– why, just why– I am not impressed. Potential but no delivery

It’s about time I write a review for one of my favorite dessert places in town. I work a block away from here, and I still haven’t figured whether it’s a blessing or a curse. I have to try really hard to stay away from these yummy calories. I seriously do not understand why everybody is going gaga about Jeni’s these days, I personally find Legato Gelato much more satisfying, pocket-friendly, and delicious. It’s a cute little place with a decent number of flavorful gelato flavors and I guess they sell cookies and other items too. I’ve never been able to look beyond the gelato. It’s not one of those places you get confused seeing some 20 flavors. But rest assured, whatever you get will be rich and delicious and not excessively sweet. Pistachio and coconut are my personal favorites. Also, let me pass on a tip I received from one of my colleagues. Instead of ordering a medium size when you feel like a generous serving of gelato, go for the small size cup/cone and ask for 3 different flavors. Yes, they do accommodate 3 flavors even in the small cone and end up giving you more gelato than you would have received with a single flavor or even 2 flavors. It can be tricky to balance the small cone piled high with 3 flavors of delicious gelato, but if you can, you’ve earned yourself a very good deal indeed. I’ll definitely miss this place when I leave Nashville,

Wow super surprised! This is such a cute little shop that is perfect to end a date at! It’s not too expensive and gives pretty good portion sizes. I am a fan of also trying a few and then selecting the best. I love being able to sample!

This place is awesome. I know people love Jeni’s but I find Legato to be infinitely more satisfying. They have a limited selection of(usually) 8 flavors. I have a fondness for their pistachio! They also carry a great assortment of cookies. I tried an oatmeal raise that was divine!

Oh my goodness I wish I had been in Nashville for more time. This was such great gelato. The flavors all looked amazing but I went with guava(like a true Cuban) and peanut butter. Lovely and tasty combination. Nommmm.

Legato Gelato is a truly refined gem in the middle of West Nashville. The service is friendly, the gelato is delicious and the atmosphere is an elegant slice of Italy. I highly recommend the donut paired with the sea salt with English toffee for a delightful dichotomy in a generous 4 oz. cups. The tiny spoons allow you to savor each bite.

I’m in love with this place! I’ve been quite a few times and each time it’s spot on amazing! They typically only have about 8 flavors, which makes it hard to narrow it down just to 3 flavors! When I took some friends recently, they remarked that they usually go to gelato places that have way more options… my response… you don’t need a lot of options here!!! I don’t need more delicious options to choose from! I usually don’t like vanilla ice cream, or really vanilla anything, but this place has the most incredible vanilla gelato ever. I actually choose it over other flavors, which is so unlike me! One of my other favorites is the vegan chocolate. Now, I’m not vegan, not even close. I typically don’t like anything vegan because nothing tastes better than nice creamy smooth dairy ice cream/gelato, but the vegan chocolate gelato here is unreal. It has the best texture and an amazingly strong chocolate flavor! Another option to consider is the affogato, which is a scoop of gelato with a shot of espresso. It is amazing!!! The last time I went I got it with the hazelnut gelato and it was like heaven! The espresso they use is already smooth, but add gelato to it and it is magical!!! Typically, the employees are super sweet as well. This last time the girl working wasn’t the friendliest and this was the first time I’ve ever had someone that wasn’t awesome. It still couldn’t bring down my experience though!

Ice cream is for idiots. Eat gelato instead! This is my favorite gelato joint in town. They make all their gelato daily in house and offer about 8 flavors at any given time. Feel free to sample them all before deciding which three to cram into a small cup(or 4 in a large).

I love the various unique flavor that you can find here sometimes. Also, they’ll put more than one favor in your pint to go! SCORE! I love it here and wish that I lived in Nashville to visit more often.

Hands down this is the best all around gelato shop I have ever been to(and that includes Europe). What I really like about this place is that you have your usual party favorites(in terms of flavors), but they always experiment new flavors — frequently with local Nashville add ons(i.e. Toffee). The place looks super clean and modern — but with a trendy blue flavor and coloring to it. Hipsters, college students, and families alike would find their palette satisfied and a cultural experience.

Atmosphere: The shop is located in a very trendy strip of shops. Service: I literally sampled half of what they had and the employees definitely seemed to know about every single gelato. Food: I always indulge myself here. Very comparable to Jeni’s. Overall: I always love coming back here — and occasionally you can score a deal!

Best gelato I have ever had. There were only about 8 flavors, and I tried about 4 of them and all of them were really good. Nice, rich, and creamy. I settled on the pistachio and the coffee. I liked the modern and hip décor. The stores around the area were pretty cool too. I could see this place being really busy on a Friday or a Saturday night. Parking was a little bit of a pain though. We parked in the parking lot across the street and needed to pay a parking fee. It was only $ 1 for 30 min. Street parking may pose difficult to find when this area gets busy.

Smooth. Creamy. Not too sweet. Packed with flavor. Yes, this place is legit. The store is adorable. Loving the décor. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The lady who helped us was friendly, quick, and helpful. Parking can be a bit difficult to find depending on what time you come. There is a lot nearby but you have to pay. We found street parking in a neighborhood nearby that was free. The selection is nice. There isn’t a big variety of flavors, but what they offer is incredibly tasty. Quality ingredients are definitely used. Some of my favorites were Coconut, Strawberry, and Dark Chocolate. A small cup can hold up to 3 flavors. Cute gelato spot.
