Another great experience, one I will always remember. Everyone on staff was absolutely polite and professional. The symphony sounded amazing and had a great night of performance. A Lifetime memory, thumbs up.

We just went to the Rat Pack show, yesterday, and this was our first visit to the Schermerhorn Sympony Center. The outside of the venue was very nice, with a courtyard for sitting and a small café /bar, just inside the venue. In addition, it looks like each level has the ability to have bar service, although they were not open, yesterday, likely due either to it being Sunday or the fact that it was a 3p show. There were a number of volunteers eager to assist us along the way, and even to suggest things to tour and see prior to the show, since we were there a few minutes early. We had seats in the balcony, which were pretty comfortable seats /leg room, and we were able to see the stage and experience the show quite nicely. It was a wonderful experience! We also ate lunch at the Farm House, and used their valet parking to simplify our trip to the symphony as well as to enhance our overall experience!

The Schermerhorn Symphony Center is just as beautiful as the music the Nashville Symphony plays. It’s always a treat to attend something at the Schermerhorn. I’m honestly surprised that this building was built in 2006. The style makes to look like it’s been here for a century, albeit, well kept. The the Neoclassical design with the large columns at the entrance makes it look very stately. Inside the theme continues & there’s a grandeur to it all. The 1,844 seat Laura Turner concert hall is equally impressive. I really don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house. We saw Kristen Chenoweth a few weeks ago & sat on the upper, side balcony. We were able to see everything, including the symphony from above. The sound in that hall is amazing. I prefer the side balcony to the seats down on the floor because the seats aren’t the theatre type seats & have more leg room. They’ve always got a bunch of volunteers helping to assist you in finding what floor/door you need to go to find your seat. My only issue, and it really isn’t with the symphony, & that is parking. The valet at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center is $ 27. We’ve never done it because of the price but there’s always a long line in front of the building. It almost seems like the just park all the cars in front, I’m not sure how they do it, but it always looks like a madhouse when people are arriving & leaving. We usually stick to finding a spot along Korean Veterans or park at the R lot at Nissan Stadium & walk over the pedestrian bridge.

Had a wonderful night with husband and 2 of our kids at Cirque de la Symphonie with the Nashville Symphony. An amazing show! This is a great, comfortable concert hall. We sat in a Founders box and it was very comfortable with great views. We have come for different concerts here and they are always very enjoyable.

Walking down to will call at the Schermerhorn, I felt like I was on the Titanic. Equally, wandering around the ornate hallways and even restrooms on our way to the orchestra level, I couldn’t help but imagine that’s exactly what it would have looked like when it flooded back in 2010. It took me too long to get here but the symphony was really as beautiful as everyone said it was. Just gorgeous. The sound is also excellent. We saw Smokey Robinson which was a great experience. I love how they have pop acts in addition to traditional symphony performances such as Handel’s Messiah. The balconies were stunning and I can’t imagine there’s a bad seat in the house. This is something anyone who lives in Nashville must do once(but you’ll want to do it more) and is also great for tourists. Since the venue is in the heart of downtown, you could easily make a big night of it by going to the honky tonks in your dress clothes afterwards!

My boyfriend and I did date night at the symphony last night. It was a wonderful experience. We sat in the Founders Circle and had a great view of the symphony and the movie screen [Home Alone]. The Symphony orchestra and chorus were amazing and the building is beautiful. The staff, ushers, and volunteers were all very friendly and helpful. There were several bars throughout the venue and the prices weren’t too extreme and were affordable. It was wonderful that there is a variety of opportunities in which all can experience the symphony and is a highly recommended venue.

Really, really warm in the concert hall, last night. Instead of reading the magazines they give us, when we sit down, most people were using the magazine as a fan… and there was a lot of «fanning» going on. I sat behind the orchestra for the concert, last night. Good seats, can watch all the musicians do their thing, talk to one another, drink their water… Lots of stuff going on that is fun to watch. Again, acoustics are good, seating is good, seats are comfy, plenty of legroom, lighting is good… my only gripe was it was so damn warm, last night… I have tickets for a February concert and believe you me. I will be wearing something summery, so I don’t sweat my ass off.

Great venue with a wonderful variety of performers for all ages from Classical to Pop to Jazz to CHildren’s programs to a unique(not exclusive to this area) live performances of music by the symphony accompanying movies(West Side Story was the one we saw). Helpful staff, polite ushers literally bend over backwards to accommodate patrons — even those who seems to refuse tis sit in their assigned seat.(We saw one woman who apparently wanted to sit with friends, moved by ushers 3 times, twice interrupting our view of the performance. Ushers continued to be professional and polite.) Accommodations for people of all ages and ‘conditions’ — physically challenged or otherwise. On site café serves light sandwiches and salads before most performances, wine and other beverages available inside as well.(This is one aspect I appreciate but wish they would as patrons to not bring drinks into the performances. Saw two examples of spilled drinks in aisle near us at the last live Pops Concert we attended this week(Franki Valli). Love the mix and match build your own series. Overall, a super venue for live music and performances for all ages and all tastes.

The Nashville symphony is well worth the money and is a Nashville institution that never receives the credit it is due. A fabulous way to spend the evening.

What a pleasant surprise. Nashville has a beautiful symphony hall. We saw the Music of Led Zeppelin with the symphony. What a fabulous experience! A must do in Nashville.

Went here for the Zelda Concert. In a lot of ways this place is better than Jones Hall in Houston. However, the seats can be quite uncomfortable at times. That being said, the acoustics are superb and the concert was amazing. Now I just need an excuse to return for another performance.

We flew up from TX to see Styx play with the Nashville Symphony in concert. The weather dropped below freezing this morning and there was light freezing rain and snow most of the day. Travel conditions were lightly impacted. We learned about 2 hours before the show that the Symphony canceled their performance but Styx is still doing their part of show. The venue did offer to exchange our $ 150 per person tickets for another event between now and July. This is not too attractive to us because of the airfare and hotel costs. Styx was awesome. They dropped Madam Blue from their regular set which we believe they would have done had the Symphony been there. We are disappointed and feel like the Symphony are being fair weather friends in this event. Two stars for that.

The good: Comfortable seats. Easy access. Has some really unique shows(like Roger Waters Ça Ira). Acoustics aren’t as bad as you’d expect from a squared venue. The bad: The square venue is acoustically challenging and for Roger Water’s Ça Ira, they felt the need to augment the sound with microphones… Which is unusual for an opera. The bottom line: The experience was awesome and easy the best performance of any opera in English I’ve ever heard and one of my favorite opera performances of all time period.

Been to 2 shows here, it’s great venue for live music, classical or otherwise. They sell beer! and wine. Ain’t cheap, but hey, it’s a classy joint. Support the Schermerhorn, you’ll be glad you did.

Beautiful venue, great acoustics and friendly staff. I went to see REO Speedwagon here back in October and had a great time. Prices for tickets were very reasonable and we had a good view from the orchestra level towards the middle of the room. Drinks were reasonably priced and I believe they had a café type place as well but we did not purchase anything. The best part, aside from the concert itself, was the amazing staff. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful! I look forward to seeing another concert or possibly the symphony here in the future!

Spectacular. The building is beautiful, the range of types of events hosted here is fantastic, the Nashville Symphony itself is wonderful, the parking isn’t bad, and there are boozes and baked goods. I’ve been here 3 times now for 3 very different events. Whether it’s the actual Nashville Symphony, a singer accompanied by the symphony, or a keynote speech, the Schermerhorn is basically perfect.

While it’s not such big, this symphony canter is a perl that needs to be properly valorized. The sound quality is really great. Its central location is kind of a problem in terms of parking, but it’s nice to walk around downtown after the concert that brought you there. Elegant, and well maintained facility, I love it! It’s just a pity that they don’t play«good stuff» so often. Look up for discount coupons before buying the thicket on line. I randomly got the 50% off out of mine.

The Schermerhorn is simple a world-class facility. The acoustics are excellent, the location is very convenient to dining establishments and hotels, and the building itself is stunning. You should definitely come here for a performance, but make sure you see the Nashville Symphony itself in addition to any«traveling shows» that may be coming through. Our Symphony is one of the top-rated in the country and a real hidden gem in terms of things to do downtown. Finally, do yourself a favor and call to get a tour of the building when there’s no event going on. The design and the mechanics of the facility itself are incredible. It’s over-engineered to last 300 years at a minimum, but should easily outlive that. The organ is also a sight to behold, especially when you consider that only about 5% is actually visible from the performance hall. The Schermerhorn is a jewel in Nashville’s crown.

This venue is breathtaking. I love everything from the courtyard to the statues, to the unique light fixtures and marble covered interior. This is the perfect place to enjoy a night at the symphony or hear a concert. I’ve noticed that they are trying to incorporate more comedians, popular musicians and discounted tickets to get more people in the doors, and I’m glad that they are making strides to ensure this lovely gem downtown is a success. They have multiple bars in the lobby’s so you can enjoy a cocktail for a reasonable price. Put it in a plastic cup and you can bring it inside the auditorium. I love that! Some people don’t dress up, but I would suggest you do. It’s just the kind of venue that screams class, sophistication, and the arts.

This is such an amazing venue! It was beautiful, the acoustics were incredible, and no matter where you sat you had an awesome view! I’m very disappointed in myself for never having been before! This first trip was to see the Video Games Live concert. It. Blew. My. Mind! If they bring this back yearly, I think it could bring more interest from younger generations that don’t have exposure to classical style orchestral music. It’s safe to say that I will be attending more shows here in the future! The only problem is that I saw on the local news that the Schermerhorn is going into bankruptcy! Say it ain’t so! Days after finding this gem I hear this terrible news! If the hall survives this I will certainly be buying season passes. The arts deserve our support, and make no mistake this is at at it’s finest. On the night I went they had free parking at LP field with a $ 3 shuttle to take you to and from the center. I don’t know if that is for every show, but if it is, that’s a great parking deal! Also, for those that didn’t know, free concerts in the park for the community are held during the summer. Check it out!
