A pretty sweet hipster bar for hipster cocktails, not the best location but I had a drink with friggen creamed corn… So, there’s that. Check it out for something differently delicious!

The night at 308 started out fine, had a few drinks, and it was basically only me and about 6 other friends in there. The music was really loud and I was at the bar so I was yelling across the room to ask my wife what she wanted to drink. So after a few times I started«cawing» for her just being funny trying to get her attention, when the bar tender, some girl with long dark hair, turns to me and goes«STOP!» I wasn’t shrieking, I was one of the few people in there, and she was just pissy and rude. If you don’t like people, you shouldn’t work at a bar. So that bothered me, but I got over it. Later, me and my friends went outside for a cigarette, and without warning, they closed the bar. No last call, didn’t offer to let us come pay our tabs, they just closed the door literally right in front of us without a word and locked it. I went and knocked on the door, and that same bratty bartender opened it and I said«I’d like to pay my tab» and she say«too bad, missed your chance» and shut the door in my face. So they took a 20% gratuity, which is fine, but had they let me pay my tab I would have tipped more than that. Unbelievably bad customer service. I’ll probably only ever go back there if she gets fired. Because really, she was the cause of all the problems.

I’ve been here easily over 100 times since 2011 and am at a loss as to what has happened to this place since this summer. The drinks are still amazing and the best in Nashville… but the staff has become completely insufferable, pissy and rude. The whole lot of them. I know often in reviews, people say something to the effect of «the staff seemed mad/annoyed that there were customers» in an exaggerated or hyperbolic manner. It is no exaggeration in this case though.

We stopped in one night after hearing all the hype about No. 308. The place has a fun atmosphere, and the small outdoor seating area is a nice addition. I wasn’t overly impressed the first visit(perhaps my expectations were too high), but we’ll give it another chance.

No. 308 is a great little space for sipping away at some fabulously boozy beverages! We stopped in here for a cocktail hour before going out to a show. So glad we did. I love the dim lit coziness of the place. Candle lights flickering and it was all decked out for Halloween when we were there. The bartender we had was friendly and willing to give us out of towners some advise on local places to go. He took the time to chat with us and make us feel welcome. The drinks he made for us were very tasty indeed. I enjoyed the cheese plate for a small snack to tide us over till dinner too. All in all, I could see how people would love hanging out here. Nothing stuck up about it and the drinks are amazing! I’m a boozy bourbon kinda gal and both the Woody Allen and Brookylnite were smooth and satisfying!

I have no complaints about this place. Cheap drinks, amazing music, loads of seating, friendly people. If I lived in Nashville, I would be here all the time!

A must-try for the cocktails, they are truly unique and delicious. VERY hipstery, but worth a few visits for the drinks alone. I’ve only ever been here late, late at night, so my opinion leans a certain way, but it’s always SUPERLOUD. Which is terrible, because there are so many interesting things going on. The cocktail menu is conversation worthy, but you have to scream in order to be heard. I definitely need to give this place a few more tries during some none-freaky hours to get a better feel for it.

Me and some of my friends decided to have a night out at 308, and let me tell you we had a really good time. They played really good music and they also has a open dance floor. Their drinks are amazing and not to mention they also had a bar outside!

Such a great time! We danced the night away. The music was really good. The place was very hot, but who really cares when you’re having a great time?

Great spot to hang and get a nice drink. The bartenders are helpful and knowledgeable, not snobby and disrespectful. Drinks are amazing, décor is nice. The dj is horrible! Unless is a specific«dance party» the normal dj is awful. Playing only weird 80s and unknown songs. When asked to request a song he says«I can’t change up the playlist» …only spinning vinyl. He’s rude and most people don’t dance anymore unless he plays 1 song everyone knows. Unfortunately unless it’s the schwing night, the music blows.

Came here on a Thursday night with a couple of friends and had their cocktails. I’m pretty particular when it comes to my cocktails and I was kind of sad they didn’t have gin. I’m sure if you asked the bartender though, they would make you one. I know they have live music depending on the night. I’m pretty sure this is where locals hang out which is a nice change of scene from Nashville downtown.

So, I brought one of my cool friends from Miami here to show off that Nashville has all sorts of cool, hip spots for cocktail enthusiasts that would impress even the most ‘over it’ of Miamians. I was half successful. While the cocktails were fine(not the best I’ve had in town and, certainly, not the best I’ve had in my Unilocal life), the process of drinking them was such an effort, I was exhausted by the last sip. It’s booze. In a glass. Relax. We came here on a Wednesday evening set to enjoy the mixology program without the crush of a weekend crowd. I’d been here before on a weekend and the foolishness isn’t for me. Real lions. Roaring. You know the rest. But, I am a sucker for liquid calories so off to East End I went. We walked in and, despite the late-ish hour(for a weekday), the place was fairly empty. Good. I just wanted a drink. I didn’t want to watch the mating rituals of preening ‘individualists’… who all look identical. Admittedly, my buddy & I looked nothing like anyone who was in the bar. Whether or not that accounts for our experience, who knows. But, it should probably be noted. My buddy and I sidle up to the bar. He gets some brown liquor on ice. I get a cocktail that takes an inordinate amount of time to make but, I get it. There’s an art to the craft and I, gladly, will wait/pay for it. And, wait I did. I waited so long I wondered if my order had been forgotten or put on the back burner for someone else’s. Surely, that couldn’t be possible given that a.) We were seated directly in front of the bartenders and b.) The crowd was very light. Was. In the time it took for my friend to get brown liquor with ice and me, my cocktail, the bar filled up. Soon, the bartenders who showed me disinterest and my friend disdain, were whopping, grimacing and tight smiling it up with all manner of bald, mustached, forlorn, waif, special, precious unicorn clones. The bar went from empty to critical mass. And, still I waited for my drink. It finally came(with nary a smile, eye contact or explanation) and I was set to enjoy. And, enjoy I did. Despite the effort it took to get it, I appreciated the taste, complexity and skill wrapped up in the beverage. Being that I had little else to study in the time my friend and I waited, I decided upon some bites. At 11:20, I asked the disinterested bartender if I might order some food. I was told I could not. I replied that the menu said that I could order until midnight. I received a stare in response. Thinking, perhaps, the menu was an old print, I went back to sipping my cocktail. It wasn’t until I noticed the table behind me getting food that I went to defcon 5(you don’t want to see 10) and left. I wanted fries & black beans(remember, Miami?). I wasn’t demanding coq au vin. Fries. And. Beans. Before leaving, I asked the table(noshing on fries and grilled cheese) how long ago they ordered. Between bites, one woman told me, «Oh. Not that long ago. I think the kitchen closes at twelve so you should hurry.» Message received, 308.

Who could not love a place with weird strange stuffed animals doing weird things? This really was not my place but I still give it 3 stars because I know a lot of people would love it. I am more of a dive bar kind of girl. They are all about organic and fresh they make their own sodas and tonic which are very tasty. The place is very modern dark with more of a artsy feel to it… not me but still a cool place. The bartender was very nice and had a lot of suggestions when we were able to see her. There were probably 30 people around the bar with 2 bartenders so took a while. This seems like a very trendy place their food menu looked great but did not try anything. They also have DJs set up and play music it was more kind of techo ish. But, if this all sounds like you definetly try this place.

I really like the atmosphere of this place. I’ve been here before a few times with some friends, & more recently, tonight for the Four Roses cocktail charity event. The bar is located in a building along Gallatin avenue. Parking can be sparse, but we usually park on the street next to the bar. They’ve big a nice little patio up front now. I really enjoy that feature. Inside, a long bar, high ceilings and comfy seating areas. They’ve got a few large booths and a long leather/pleather padded bench opposite the bar. The lighting is very dim which helps give it s cool & hip vibe. Deer heads & other western wear items are found around, giving the place kind of a dated hunting lodge in my opinion. The color scheme is browns, oranges and tans. The bar features about 12 – 14 fixed bar stools. My last time here it took about 25 minutes to get up to order a drink. The bar stools are close enough to each other it’s hard to squeeze in to get a drink. I’ve always enjoyed the drinks & thought they were priced right. They’re not cheap, but I don’t feel like they’re priced exorbitantly. Both bathrooms are located in the back, down a short hallway. One stall & one urinal in the men’s bathroom. The soap is in a ketchup squeeze bottle. I’m not sure how I feel able that. Other than a long wait time once to get some drinks, I’ve never not had a good time here. Again, I really enjoy the atmosphere here, and the drinks.

Really disappointing. We stopped in on a Sunday evening around 5pm, when the place was a bit empty. It was nice to be able to take advantage of Happy Hour, and I liked the menu of craft cocktails. But that’s where the experience kind of soured. After touting their house made tonics and syrups, the bartender served my sister a drink with completely flat tonic. She asked for another drink after letting a couple of us take a sip, to make sure she was right. The bartender was odd and snooty, and wouldn’t taste the tonic until asked to… Then he conceded she was right and that was that. My cocktail, the El Chapo, was pretty good, but rather pricey for the size of the glass. The place started to have more people not too long after, but we just weren’t that into it. My fiancé is a trained bartender and tasted all of our drinks and they were just okay by his tastes. I felt the same about mine. I’m not sure I’d come back.

Ugh. I wanted to like this place… I really did. Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t that great. Another couple joined my fiancé and I when we visited No. 308. We had heard great things so we had high expectations. Immediately, when we walked in, we noticed how small this place is. There isn’t much seating room, which means you end up standing and feel like you’re in a college bar. The bar itself was packed so none of us could get to it to get a drink… so we waited for a table to open up. After waiting for some people to leave their table, we eventually snagged one and sat down for some drinks. Our waitress came by and took our orders. We got our drinks after some time and while I was pleased with mine, the others at my table weren’t so happy with theirs. We had to wait a decent amount of time until our waitress returned and when she did, she apparently didn’t hear our orders… so we just sat there… waiting…for her to come back again. If we had a question about a cocktail, she didn’t really care to stay and listen. It seemed like she was working all of the tables so she was always in a rush. Music was good. Lots of oldies were played. Overall, the lack of decent service and seating are the two main reasons why we probably won’t be returning. I thought that this place would quickly become my favorite bar in Nashville. Alas, Patterson House is still my number one choice.

This is a hipster bar, nothing wrong with that, we found the people watching to be entertaining, the dj and music was good. Getting to the bar is not easy because the bartenders aren’t just pouring they’re crafting a drink. I definitely respect that! We ordered Moscow mules expecting them to be authentic and delicious, asked the bartender if they used copper cups before ordering because there is no point in getting a mule without the copper cup. He said they used them but poured the drinks in glasses and let us know we owed $ 22. The drinks were gross, there was way to much ginger beer, drinking the whole thing would have been stomach suicide. We each took 2 sips and left the drinks and bar. The mules at dave &busters that we’d had earlier that night were much better. That doesn’t make sense at all.
