Very clean and well organized Indian market. The staff is friendly, and prices and selection are excellent. What more could you ask? When I went, there were lots of shoppers and many people re-stocking, so they seem to be a thriving business. Also, I learned that the big chain grocery stores are ripping us off for fresh herbs and spices. This is where to go.

I take a trip here about every month and half to stock up on my prepackaged meals that I take for lunch. I enjoy the MTR namebrand, and they have packages of pre-made specialties such as Aloo Methi, Chana Masala, Aloo Mutter, Pav Bhaji, etc. They also have some delicious items in the freezer section, although some can be a bit pricey. The naan pizzas are great, but they are also easy to make at home if you buy the naan. The fridge section also has some interesting juices as well as an extensive selection of produce.

Dang, this place is nice. At most international markets, you try not to notice how dark and dingy they are. This place is very bright and clean, very well stocked. The produce was fresh. It’s Indian only, so there’s a great variety of foods, most of which I don’t understand. A great place to explore.

I wish I knew about this store five years earlier! It has a generous selection of fruits and veggies popular in Indian and Southwest Asian cuisine, as well as two aisles of spices and chutneys. Patel Brothers also has several freezers full of ready-to-heat meals and snacks– its pretty cool, especially for non-native cooks attempting to make Indian food(read… me.) It does get quite busy and there were long lines to go through two cashiers, so plan ahead. I’m amazed how they have all that fresh produce that I didn’t think was availble in the US. Even if you don’t know how to cook Indian food, I suggest you stop in and buy some of the ready-made meals, you won’t be disappointed.

This store is heaven-sent…such a wonderful array of Indian spices, rices, teas and one of the best fresh vegetable selections in Nashville. My husband is a keen cook and this will be our go-to place for all cooking needs. Highly recommended, can’t wait for our next trip!

Great Indian Grocer in Nashville! Offers a great selection of produce at very affordable prices. If you are interested in cooking a traditional Indian meal, everything you need can be found at Patel Brothers. The staff is always friendly, the shelves are always stocked, and the checkout lines move quickly. If you are not familiar with the cooking techniques to prepare an Indian dish, they offer frozen Indian dinners. I highly recommend Patel Brothers to spice up your grocery shopping experience!

Huge Indian Grocery, every spice and pre-mixed spice package known to mankind, beautifully displayed. Cheap, fresh and clean vegetable area, big selection of rice and of course a zillion Indian fast foods, great for pulling out the freezer for bridge night or for feeding surprise guests. Large Carts or baskets for the provos or my personal favourite the medium green wheelie basket(this keeps your shopping under control), today’s haul: low fat paneer $ 4.99, 8oz ghee 3.99, 1lb of okra $ 2.49 and of course some kadhai egg curry mix $ 1.49. Yes it’s Indian week. Do your cookery research ahead of time and prepare to impress your friends.

If you’re looking for Indian junk food and freezer meals, you’re in luck. Oh, they have everything for Indian food, but microwavable yummies from the freezer are a big draw for when you’re not in the mood to cook. The only thing about this place I did not like was there were a boatload of gnats in one area — my assumption was a bad veggie as they seemed localized to one area in the fresh produce section. The store itself was a little too small I think, but not too much so. It so far is the best Indian-food grocery I have been to

This store is stocked with spices! The selection is very large and caters to Indian culture and cuisine. However, the produce and spice selection is universal and affordably priced. The staff and the clientele have been very helpful to me in terms of educating me on learning something other than Southern Meat and Three. I like this place. Check it out.

Looking for Indian groceries? Patel Brothers has what you need. Walking in you get a whiff of the scents and spices that transport to you another place and time. This is my to-go place for basmati rice, dal’s, spices, powders, and ultra cheap produce. This grocery store is a cultural experience. You’re bound to find some spice mix or Indian dessert that will fancy your taste buds. There is a small parking lot in front of the store off Nolensville… it gets fairly busy at all times of the day.

This is a great place to shop indian groceries. Especially southern frozen foods if you love southern breakfast items. Well, organized and easy to find. I recently found about this store and added it to my list. I also like Apna Bazaar a few hundred yards away from this store which is good too.

We moved from San Diego to Nashville and were wondering if our accessibility to Indian groceries would remain the same. Surprisingly, this place is far more than what we expected. Don’t be fooled by its locality(all Indian stores tend to be in crappy neighborhoods). The density of items in this store is pretty huge. They carry fresh vegetables(they come in Thursdays), a huge selection of frozen foods and all the masalas and powders one might need. As usual, they have flours and rice of different varieties and cooking utensils. I was surprised to see huge earthern pots filled with savory snack items that one can scoop out and fill up a plastic bag with. This place is definitely a go-to place for all your Indian grocery needs.(There is a 10 $ minimum on credit cards)

Indian vegetarian and chicken spices, and other asian cooking supplies can be found at this south Nashville grocery. An Indian national chain, they offer chutnes and rice varieties, pules, curry, mukhva and namkeen snacks. I like baked and sweet items here best; be sure to ask the nice clerk to show you the rajbhog sweets section. Puja prayer items for Hindu ceremonial times are here including Hem Cannabis incense, copper divi, diya vats and assorted agarbatti. Patel is a common Indian name, but brothers Talashi and Mafat have made the Patel name known specifically for quality Indian groceries.
