Publix

Why write a review on a Grocery store? Anyone remember HG Hills. Wonder if they would still be here if Unilocal was around. Maybe their family was tired of the grocery biz. Either way, Publix in next to where to where HG Hills was. Ironic. Why write about a grocery store? BC I am trying to do the challenge and honestly, I really love shopping here. NEVER pay full price. Wait for the discounts and the BOGO. Worth the effort. The Deli in most States tend to be so friendly and helpful. This one helped me on the Boar’s Head meats. Why buy deli meats unless they are the best. Can you say bi products and fillers? Also I love their pharmacy. Their pharmacsts are the nicest and kindest I have encountered in most states. Their produce never looks bad or over ripe.
Actually come to think of it, I don’t like the Smyrna Publix, that will be another review. Butcher there is a bit scary and not helpful, but this one, SPOT on and the pharmacy is one of the best which says a lot.

Publix is the only place I do my grocery shopping now! Their prices are slightly higher, especially on paper goods, soap, non food items, etc., but it’s worth it not to have to fight your way through the mad house that is Walmart.
I appreciate that everything is always fully stocked and neatly organized. The staff are so friendly. They are always helpful. One time I was walking through the deli section where publix also stores their store made specialty items. A manager (I believe his name was Steve) stopped me to ask if I like spinach dip and if I would like to take a public spinach dip home for free since they would be expiring the next day. I gladly accepted. I think that was such a nice gesture. It’s a way to show their customers they care, and it also makes me happy to know they aren’t throwing out a ton of food.
Speaking of their store made items, their buffalo chicken dip is so good! I also like their hummus, salsa, artichoke dip and potato salad. You really can’t go wrong here!

They always treat you like family. I have never had a bad experience. They are so right on with customer service it is scary. I love this place. Expensive but you get what you pay for. The deli workers are phenomenal.

Big fan of the Publix Brand Chocolate Soy Milk!!! Yummy. Short & sweet review. It’s about chocolate. nuff said.

Publix appears to me to focus primarily on selling bulk and most of it is processed food, the produce section was tiny and had no organic options I could see. I would rather spend my grocery money elsewhere.

Amazingly courteous staff. Prices are kind of high though. I will still shop there due to the extreme convenience of the location.

I love Publix, I am sad that there isn’t one any where near my house! So, when I am in an area where I can find one, I often make it a point to stop in.
Publix has their BOGO deals each week or month? that really provide a way for shoppers to be mindful of a budget, and they are typically on items you won’t mind buying more than one of.
I appreciate their variety, they have a more extensive selection of Gluten free foods, international selections and some hard to find brands.
While I am not close enough to a Publix to do all of my shopping there, I certainly rank it as one of my favorite grocery chains in Nashville and this location has always provided for a positive experience.

I cannot say enough good things about this Publix. Everyone is so helpful and friendly and the store is always spotless. If I’m ever looking for a particular product and ask an employee, they won’t point me in the right direction but physically take me there or run across the store themselves and bring it back to me. The meat department will break packages for you and so will the produce department. Love this store.

There is great inventory and the best part, strangely enough, is the staff. They are incredibly helpful, polite, and go above and beyond to meet your needs. They all seem happy — it’s so weird but awesome. I am so used to people in customer service being rude and unhappy but that isn’t the case here. Just today I couldn’t find an item and Bobby, an employee, heard me talk about it. He came up to me 10 minutes later in another aisle with said item in hand. Awesome.
Another reviewer said something about the produce looking bad, but I think it looks fine and a lot better than Kroger’s and some other grocery stores. I think it’s probably pretty hard to keep all produce looking glorious all the time. If you want polished apples then go to Whole Foods. Publix is a place where I go to find affordable good groceries and I think it fits the bill and then some.

Every other Publix does not have this problem, at least the three others I have been to in town.
I asked an Employee Manager Keith about this, and his response was scripted canned, pandering blindness, layered with almost a rude tone. Questioning me about my refrigerator etcetera., which is brand new. I invited him to go look for himself at his own store; he wasn’t interested. What an asshat.

This store made me a hero with a last minute birthday cake. Thank You Public Bakery!

If you’re out in West Nashville and want to go to Publix, I would recommend this store over the one on Harding Pike simply because of the traffic. Both are great stores, though!

For me, grocery shopping can be such a chore. However, when I stop by this Publix, I leave feeling like I’ve been pampered!
First of all, this Publix is located near the Nashville West shopping center, where I can do some other shopping and errands done before swinging by for groceries.
Secondly, this store is always kept clean. I don’t know if all the Publix stores are the same, but I especially love the produce here. It always seems so much fresher than its competitors, particularly the fruit!
Thirdly, you’d expect prices would be a little more here since the store is so well kept. However, it’s not necessarily the case. While some of items are priced higher than say Wal-​Mart, often times the store offers coupons that end up making some items cheaper. Buy one get one free is huge here. For example, I ended up getting two boxes of pasta for $ 1.00 and two jars of salsa for $ 3 total!
Last but not least, the service is amazing. The workers smile all the time and are attentive and professional. I was looking around for paper bags at the self checkout, and before I even said anything to anyone, an attendant was by my side asking if she could help with anything. Also, this is one of the only grocery stores I’ve seen where it’s still standard where someone will walk your groceries out to your car for you AND still asks paper or plastic!
