Salon Atash Hair & Brow Bar

I used to come here every time I was in Nashville. I pride my eyebrows, because they are thick and usually very even. I went to get them done and the woman left them basically bushy and untouched. In the lighting of the salon it looked alright but when I got to my car they still looked like two caterpillars. I went back in, the woman who did them had a shock on her face and acted like they were good, when it in fact, they looked barely touched and very uneven. When I got into the chair she gave me a nasty attitude and then as a price for coming back in to fix them, two minutes later, she gave me uneven and terrible eyebrows. Even going as far as nixing my left eyebrow so one is very thin… And the other normal. I lguess that’s what she must have been saying in Arabic. Whatever. I’m never going back. Bottom line if you like your eyebrows don’t go to the girl with the overly painted eyebrows because you’ll have messed up ones like hers underneath all that makeup.

I come here for eyebrow threading, but my satisfaction depends on which lady is working. I’ve probably been here at least six times now and each experience is a bit different. Sometimes its busier than others, but I’ve always been able to walk in after work between 5 and 6 with no issues.
As for the threading itself, one of the technicians didn’t shape them how I wanted and left them too thick, and I noticed that the right and left weren’t exactly even after I left. Shame on me for not saying anything, but I learned to be a bit more vocal about my expectations. They fill in your brows with a pencil when you are done as well, which I ended up buying because I liked the fuller look a lot better and I could actually watch them apply it so I could replicate at home.
Parking can be a pain, but I’m told that they will validate if you park in the garage.
Price is good too, you can buy a five pack (pretty sure it was five) of eyebrow threads which comes out to $ 59 as opposed to paying $ 20 each time. They offer specials when you check in on Unilocal and also have coupons on their website too. Oh and there is a college student discount if that applies to you.

I was a bit weary after reading the reviews but I went for it as the location is very convenient to my office. I did go on a Monday (when just the brow bar is open) for threading and tint. The male owner at the front desk was most gracious and welcoming. There was no hard sell to buy products (they have their own line of products) and he was very helpful with all of my questions. I was taken back on time and the lady that did my brows was fantastic. My brows look better than they ever have. The color is perfect and the shape is exactly as we discussed. She checked with me several times to make sure I was happy during and after the process.
While I did not purchase anything from the boutique I thought their prices were very much in line with the other clothing stores (UAL, Boutique Bella, Blush, Scarlett Begonia just to name a few) and in some cases less expensive. I bought a brow package for threading that brings the price down to $ 11.58 per visit-​very reasonable.

I go to this place solely because the gals who thread my brows are very sweet, fast, and talented. BUT the owner is seriously a nightmare. She has terrible customer service /​etiquette. I’ve been yelled at her MANY times for requesting my favorite brow chick. She says I better get used to seeing whomever they assign to me because everyone is equally as talented — which obviously isn’t true. It’s already stressful enough to have the hairs pulled out of your face with a thread, I don’t need the added on stress of a loud mouthed woman making me feel on pins and needles.

I absolutely love Salon Atash! I have been going there regularly for about a year, and everyone in the salon has always been very nice and friendly. The team has done a great job with threading my face all the time. Katie is the best hairstylist I have ever experienced! She is very precise in the way she cuts hair, and I have never had a hair cut so well-​shaped and even before her. She recently cut my hair exactly the way I wanted, leaving all of my length but removing the dead split ends. I walked out of the salon with very beautiful long hair!

Five stars for threading — I have a package and have come probably 8 times now and been satisfied with the result every time. One star for service — the person answering the phone either yells at me for asking if I can schedule an appointment or acts like they have no idea what I’m talking about. I’ve had the same problem as a walk-​in, when the man at the front counter stares at me like I just asked the dumbest question ever when I ask if I can get my brows threaded.
I’m writing this review after the same phone experience ten times in a row now. So be warned that they’ll probably treat you like garbage, but if you’re ok with that, the product is definitely worth it! (Then again, if I could find another halfway decent threading place around here — I’ve clearly yet to do so — I’d be gone in a heartbeat)

If I could I wouldn’t even give this place a 1 star. Katie, the owner, is the best hairstylist to go to if you want all of your hair chopped up. After 2 years of growing my hair out I went there for a up to date hair cut and asked her to cut about 3 inches and she ended up chopping off my hair 8– 9 inches and I left out of that place looking like nothing I intended to. She was forcing me to do the style that she wanted and started chopping my hair off all of the sudden without me even agreeing to the hair cut.
Both Katie and her son have anger issues and I will never go there again. If you want her to just do anything SHE wants to your hair without your permission and chop it all off, GO THERE! Otherwise, I would never recommend it.

I see drastically conflicting views. Here’s the bottom line. You never know what you’re going to get when you show up– it could be busy. It could be calm and peaceful. There may be parking or parking may be a slight inconvenience. The owner may be in a giving, friendly mood or she may be rude and unprofessional. I’ve seen all these scenarios. They do good brows, especially my favorite threader who I’m not naming cause I’m selfish like that. I’ll go with that threader wherever she works next. She’s darn good.
One star off for owner being rude as hell when I called a while back. Clothes are cute; would never pay the full price.

I been going to Salon Atash for over 3 years. iKatie is so knowledgable about hair and brows. Katie transformed my hair from very kinky, dry, frizzy, and unmanageable, to shiny, and silky! No one anywhere was able to ‘heal’ my hair. I was always told that I had ‘bad’ hair… Katie has a solution for every type of hair. Her hair color is on the cutting edge. Katie’s eyebrow girls are fantastic too!
Armand works the front desk. He does an awesome job keeping Katie’s schedule… he will make sure you get into see Katie. He is so friendly and lovely! This is a dynamic team! I feel so fortunate have them as my hair and brow specialist!

I made an appointment for 5pm. It was my first time there. After waiting 40 minutes, I knew I was not going to be able to get the highlights I scheduled and get to a dinner on time. I eventually ended up leaving with nothing but bad roots and a lot of wasted time. Their attitude was, «Hate it for ya!». They talked to me like it was my fault I made an appointment at a time they’re busy. My thought — that is why people make appointments — for a set time. I will not be back, and I would not recommend them. Very unprofessional.

Despite the reviews, I needed to get my brows done. I thankfully found this salon to be wonderful, very peaceful, and I got a great service. Not only did they thread my eyebrows but they tinted them and I got a recommendation for a brush on powder to cover a little bit of my gray roots. It was a lovely experience Nora was terrific. Perhaps The reviews of the previous behavior made them work a little harder. I did find not review to be helpful.

Horrible. I paid 25 $ for a lash fill in and by the time I got home they all came out. Do NOT waste your time & hard earned money here. The woman here does NOT know what she is doing. I get a full lash set for $ 25 in HERMITAGE & 5 $ for a fill in and get BETTER results. Come on!

They suck. Bad service and the manager is very rude.

My review is for the location on West End. After being there atleast twice, using a brow package I purchased at their Green Hills location, they refused my brow package.
Nora is the best brow person I have ever found, and I wanted her to do it. She works between the two stores.
I loved this location and always enjoyed shopping there too. Spoke to the owner herself and she refused to honor my package.
Just lost a good customer!

I drive here from Franklin just to get my eyebrows threaded because they’re THAT amazing at what they do!
The other day I made an appointment for the wrong day, and didn’t realize it until the day I accidently scheduled it for had passed. I walked in yesterday without an appointment and told them the mistake I had made with scheduling and they were so easy going about it. Still took me in and only had to wait about 5 minutes.
The owner and everyone that works there are so nice and friendly as well. I won’t ever go to another place for my eyebrows here in Tennessee!

Oh my Jen W., you are so wrong. I have been going there for years. Matter of fact, I now live in Charlotte and come back every couple months for an exceptionally good haircut.
I love Salon Atash, the owner and staff. Katie is so passionate about making a girl look as good as she can. She has been showing up to work everyday since her knee injury which I know much be tough. Standing on your braced knee for hours on end just to make her customers look and feel great. I always leave there feeling great about myself.
Sorry you had a bad experience. Please give it another chance.

The last two times I went to Salon Atash Hair & Brow Bar I was horrified by the owners’ behavior. I will preface with, I am not easily offended. The first time, the male co-​owner (? he’s always been there since my first visit and seems to run the place, owner’s son?) was belligerent and dropping F-​Bombs on the floor at employees and/​or the owner (Katie Mirian). He was enraged and filled the small space with such an uncomfortable vibe, I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I was embarrassed for the employees.
Last week, I returned (Nora does an excellent brow threading — hence they get one star) and was rudely greeted by a new young man at the reception desk. He did not acknowledge me for at least a minute, never said hello/​welcome or looked up at me once. He only asked if I had an appointment (I did not, and rarely do) and told me I would have to wait without even asking what service I was there for). I understand waiting if I don’t have an appointment. As I was having my service, the owner was sitting in the middle of the salon and this time she was the one screaming… for glue. She disrespectfully yelled at employees and/​or her son calling them stupid, idiots etc. Then she ranted about clients who had come in without appointments and how she put them in their place. All on the service floor!
Despite all the globally fantastic accolades about Katie Mirian posted on their slick website, don’t be fooled by the smoke, mirrors and overpriced items. Salon Atash management is as unprofessional as they come. Bad mojo brewing here!

Sweet little salon. But be careful, they have clothes and accessories that can get a girl into trouble. In all seriousness, I haven’t had my hair done there but have regularly gotten my lashes done there. And love them.

I regularly get my eyebrows threaded and since moving to Nashville, needed to find a new place. I was hoping to find an area of town that is majority Indian to get this done… however, I have yet to find it. I found Salon Atash through Groupon. I paid $ 10 to get my eyebrows threaded. Coming from Atlanta, where you pay $ 6… I found this rather pricey. Also given since typically they will charge you $ 20. It was very easy to make a last minute appointment on a Saturday morning at 10am. I had no wait time and I was overall happy with my experience and pleased that the woman (ASK FOR BERRY) who did my eyebrows was Indian. Following the threading process, Berry took the time to show me how to properly fill my brows. Better yet, she told me where her favorite place to get Indian food was. SITAR here I come!
