You MUST go see MAJIDA for your eyebrows! She is top-​notch for BOTH men & women. Majida is the best Aesthetician in all Nashville bar none! (See my profile pic) My brows were bleached blonde from years in the sun and she gives me my brows back! She does my son’s too and you cannot tell. That’s her secret doing men’s brows. I have been in music and modeling my whole life & I am incredibly picky. So call and ask for Majida Krezic (615) 321‑0901. Don’t take my word for it.

I am feeling so sassy and happy because of Christy S! She is as much of a perfectionist as I am, but it’s not even her hair! I have never had someone spend so much time making sure everything is absolutely right, at a reasonable price. In two visits, I went from long hair– to a long bob– to a sassy, texturized shorter bob that I love. She has taken 10 inches off my hair and there was no stress, because I knew it would look great! And she is all about being a mad scientist (in a GOOD way) with color!

Christy turned my ideas into the real deal– better than I could have imagine! She balayaged my hair and gave me a fresh new long bob! I’m new to Nashville, but I’m done searching for a stylist. I’ll go back to Christy every time!

Demi is amazing! She handles my hair with so much care. With my previous stylist, I didnt see much growth or change in my hair. But there has been a big difference now that ive been going to Demi. I love putting my hair in her hands. I never leave disappointed.

Boo! Originally, I liked this place– years ago. But times have changed. I cannot speak to every stylist there but the ambience is no longer the same. No drinks. No coffee bar. AND POOR SERVICE. I went for hair color last month and the color was too brassy. When I called in about getting it corrected, I was told it could have been to pool water, etc. but I had not been to the pool and only briefly was in the ocean. The only offer I had to correct was to come in again to see the stylist and pay again. They told me to «give her another shot.» I was skeptical, but I did so that I could at least talk to her woman to woman.
I started making calls to see other stylists at other salons right then but booked a date about a month out (the soonest they could get me in) for a single process color with that stylist. My other appointment is in a couple more weeks. As you probably know, it can be difficult to get in to see good stylists. Today I just found out that the notoroius SALON FX stylist is gone– quit, fired. I dont know! And no one called me to say she cancelled, here is her new contact info, go elsewhere. Nothing. I’ll have to post a picture of my orange hair for you so you can get a laugh. If it weren’t me this bullsh*t might be funny. Can you believe?

(4.5) I called only two days before my appointment and was able to get a great time without a problem. I went in for a basic wash and cut. The cut came out great and everyone in the salon was really friendly. While credit cards are accepted, the gratuity has to be in cash.

There’s a parking lot across the street designates for Salon FX that you don’t have to pay, just FYI, because parking in this area is hell
Anyway! I went online Friday morning and booked a cut through their nifty online scheduling system – this is already a plus for me because I’m weird and hate talking on the phone. I showed up for my appointment and the informed me that I had actually made it for NEXT Friday! Oops! The receptionist said no worries and got me an appointment right away! I was pretty stunned to get a walk in on a Friday.
I sat with Christy, who is gorgeous and so much fun to talk to. I hate small talk, but she was really hilarious. I wanted a long bob cut and she even informed me that my hair was long enough to donate! I was really excited about this. She was such a good sport too and even participated as my aunt and I took pictures of the dramatic change I was about to partake in.
We talked about some of the crazy contraptions around the shop, like the high tech hair dryers.
I love my new hair cut and Christy even took time explain how she structured it to make it easy for my low-​maintenance ways. I thought that was awesome! She gave me some tips about ways it could style and maintain it.
She gave me a big hug, and I left in a really good mood.
Oh, another FYI, you can pay with a credit card, but you can’t leave a tip on it. They have an ATM in the corner for a cash tip

I have been with Brie for 10 years now and WOW! She is just awesome — she has a great eye for what will work with your face shape and is great with color. Parking is a little tricky sometimes (don’t cut your hair when it is rainy because you have to walk across the street to the lot!) but that’s the only downside I can think of… this place is great!

If you are looking to get a Brazilian wax, I highly recommend Majida. She is SO FAST, distracts you so you don’t feel anything, and makes you feel very comfortable. I graduated from Vanderbilt four years ago, and moved to Maryland, but I still come back to Majida for my waxes when I am in Nashville for work. She is extremely thorough– no stray hairs! She is legitimately the best waxer I have ever been to!

Been living in Nashville for 2 yrs — it took me 6 months to find this place and I’ve been coming ever since. I’m picky when it comes to my hair and in every city I’ve lived in, I never stick with one salon. Melanie is a great stylist and does an amazing job EVERY TIME!

If your looking for an amazing new hair stylist look no further. You must go to Salon Fx and see Glynnis Garcia! She has been doing my hair for sometime now and nails my new look every time! I had only been going for edgy cuts and colors but over the past 7 months Ive been going for extensions and I can’t stress how much I love them because of her! People are always shocked when I tell them I have extensions, they can never get over how natural it looks. Im constantly receiving compliments on my hair and it is all thanks to Glynnis!

I was worried about posting good things about Laura because its already difficult to get an appointment with little notice, but I have to. I’ve been to all the top LA, SF and NYC hair stylists and colorists, and as a former model and actress, I’ve used many on set professionals, and still… Laura is one of the best colorists and cutters I’ve ever had. I’ll never use anyone else in Nashville. She listens to what you want, she’s super sweet to talk to, she’s drop dead gorgeous, her prices are very reasonable, she’s quick and efficient, and you always walk out much more beautiful than when you walked in. She also did a great job on my Brazilian blow out.
The girls at the front desk are friendly, helpful and efficient. The only star deduction is for the salon itself… the lighting isn’t great over the chairs (which makes it difficult to verify your new color without going outside), the magazines are usually 6 months old (pet peeve), and the décor is like my mother’s salon. The owners should care more about these things.

Check out my hair. Yeah. It is pretty awesome. I can’t take all the credit though. My stylist, Kara is basically behind it all. Her cheery disposition and attention to detail make me comfortable instructing her to «do what she pleases» with my hair. It takes a special stylist to hear that from me!
The salon is clean, sleek and I am always greeted when I enter the door… through the Division entrance that is. Offering a full range of services beyond just hair, waxing and the mani/pedi…they leave me wanting more!

Worst place ever. I was visiting and needed to get my hair done for an event… Long story short: my hair looked like my 9 year old cousin did it, the stylist didn’t really care to fix it (and she definitely knew I was upset about it), and to top it all off I ended up paying a RIDICULOUS amount (including a $ 65 blowdry for my sister when they said it would be $ 47).
I don’t want to be mean, but the stylists definitely need some schooling… She didn’t want to wash my hair, she curled my hair in the WEIRDEST way just so she could speed up the process, and she put about 4 different products in my hair that made it feel just flat out disgusting.

Ivana (sp?) always calls with a friendly voice to remind us of appointments, from the moment we walk in the door, we’re greeted with smiles and hellos. Mark Henry is my stylist and always exceeds my expectations. I’m not the easiest client to deal with, but I’m always happy with the end result here. There is a great energy here and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. They carry nice product lines also, my favorite being the PM tea tree line. I only have two small complaints, and they’re tiny ones: the dim lighting in the men’s room and the minimal waiting area. Since I can’t rate it a 4.9, I’ll give it 4 stars.

Ever since my hair stylist moved away I have been on the hunt for a new one. I went to Fx today and got a pretty good cut and color. I think that their prices are a little on the high side and everyone their seemed a little put off.
I will probably continue my quest for the perfect hair stylist for a little longer.

This is a summary of my beyond disappointing customer service experience in addition to a terrible bang trim, color job, and hair trim.
I went in for a bang trim, Christine was nice offered some feedback on how to fix my roots which had grown out about two inches so I made an appointment for the following week to take care of my color.
Lets start with the bang trim, I said «I like my bangs, I just don’t want the ends to be as blunt. Well, my bangs now are more of an arch… WAY longer on the sides and shorter towards the middle. Not at all what I liked about my former. Oh well, didn’t think much of it… they’ll grow out in a week.
Fast forward to my hair color/​cut appointment. I have bright golden blonde hair, not a hint of ash or brass. She tells me all of these things she wants to do «tone it, add some ash, we’ll add some highlights…» and I responded telling her I love my hair color EXACTLY how it is and didn’t want to change a thing. I repeated this over and over. Sure enough, at the shampoo bowl I ask her what she’s putting in my hair and she says toner. I repeat again that I don’t want to change my color and she tells me this will not change it, it will just blend the new growth with the other color.
Arrive home with my Ashy, dirty blonde hair that has a hue of red in it, I shower the next day, wash my hair and still HATE HATE HATE the color… it’s a good color job, but it’s not a good color on me and NOT at all what I had asked for. So I call the salon, they tell me I can come in and get the color fixed for free within two weeks so since my scalp was still on fire I decided to wait a week and asked that one of their best colorists be able to assist and selecting the color to correct my hair with. The receptionist then tells me that «in her defense, she’s a great colorist but we were really low on color yesterday and most of the stylists were having to improvise and mix colors based on what they learned in school». IMPROVISE?! On my hair?!
Fast forward a week… I go in and sit down at Christine’s chair where she proceeds to essentially tell me my hair is the same color as it was, this was what we had to do because I didn’t get my formula from my old salon. She said she could add highlights, I said I wanted my hair back to what it was supposed to be in the first place and she said «well we can do a bleach wash, but that’s going to damage your hair». I show her pictures of my before and after she argues that the picture was not right before my color (it was four days before!) and then says well just come over here it’s not worth arguing about. So now I have no idea what she’s about to do to my hair, so I told her I would go elsewhere to have it fixed.
Moral of the story: she did what she wanted to do and did not for a moment take into account what I wanted. I’ve since heard all of my friend’s horror stories from here as well and will do everything in my power to not let anyone else be as disappointed in their $ 180 spend as I am now.

I’ve lived in this city a long time, and I just can’t find a stylist who is awesome. What’s up with that Nashville?
I have to preface by saying I am probably the easiest person out there as a client for a stylist. I’m easy going, like to get opinions, and don’t manage every single detail of my hair unlike some people in my gender :) I have been to Salon Fx twice for a haircut and the first time was pretty good; I called them on Friday and scheduled a last minute appointment for Saturday… I’m spontaneous! The stylist did a decent job, though it was a bit quick, but it wasn’t a crazy cut. And for the price tag of $ 39 at a nice salon? Fine by me! Again, I’m easy.
For my second haircut, I wanted a dramatic cut and had some photos that I had as an example of what I wanted. There was a certain cut with a specific set of bangs that I was ready to get. So I did some Unilocal research and went to their website to look at the stylist profiles. I found that there are two classes of stylists at Salon Fx: a «master designer» (only a couple people were on this list) and a «senior designer» (significantly more people on the list). So I knew I wanted something a bit more daring and selected a «master designer.» It would be helpful if the website would specify what that means… length of time worked at the salon? Training? Seminars? Nunchuck skills? What makes them Master designers? Also per the website a woman’s haircut and style is $ 45+. Can we get an range to the highest number please? It would be nice to know how much is the max they charge.
Despite my questions, I decided to book an appointment through their website. It took a bit longer than I would have liked to get a response from my appointment request, but about 48 hours later I had my time booked and they offered me a price. The cut and style was $ 55+. OK, cool.
I get to the salon and I show my stylist the pictures. The haircut is underway. So I wait for her to cut my bangs… nothing. She starts drying my hair. No bangs. Hmm. Maybe she’s waiting until my hair is dry? No. Then she’s styling my hair and we are done. All while she barely speaks the whole time. I personally like a chatty stylist and she was definitely not. I’m glad I brought a friend along so we at least could talk.
Then I get to the register and my cut was $ 70 bucks. Ouch. That’s definitely the PLUS side of $ 55.
I like Salon Fx but I expect a «master designer» to give what their client asks. I’m not picky, but please give me what I ask for! I’d come back, but would probably get a different stylist and not pay the «master» prices.

What a disaster — the worst mani/​pedi I have ever had and of course it was the day before my wedding. I made nail/​toenail polish change appointments for myself, my future mother-​in law, and my mom for the day before my wedding a month in advance. Several days before the appointments, I received a call from Salon Fx saying that they double booked some appointments and did I mind if my appointments were pushed back an hour later? Well, I did mind, but I tried to play it cool and agreed, but confirmed that the salon would still be able to provide us services to which the person on the phone said, oh yes of course.
When we showed up, I was taken into the back room with a woman who immediately said to me, «The nail technician is gone all weekend — I’m a hairstylist filling in, but I haven’t done nails since beauty school.» Really?! I should have just left then, but we were already backed up in terms of timing for the weekend and with my wedding the next day, I didn’t know if I could find a new place in time. The woman was very nice but she wasn’t lying — she really wasn’t skilled at doing nails. I think my nails looked better when I walked in then they did when I walked out. My mother and mother-​in-​law smartly chose just to have their fingernails painted (not their toes too, like me) and also walked out with amateur-​looking nails. My nails chipped later that night and I was happy I had a very light polish on or it would have looked even worse in the wedding pictures the next day.
To rub salt in the wound, they charged us twice! I put a credit card down when I made the appointments, but when we went to leave, they made us pay in cash and said that the credit card was just to hold the appointment. Of course, when we got home, we saw the charge on the credit card.
The thing that bothers me most isn’t that the girl didn’t do a good job with the nails — she’s a hairstylist and it isn’t her fault — but rather that the salon KNEW that the technician wasn’t going to be there that weekend and didn’t tell me so that I could find someone else. If they would have explained the situation on the phone when they called me a few days before the appointment, I would have understood and had time to book another appointment. Instead, they didn’t tell me the truth and left me no choice but to have a horrible looking manicure on my wedding day, which is just unfortunate. I would never go back to this salon because I don’t agree with misleading your customers and delivering sub-​par service.
