Pool, drinks, amazing food, nice people, great service. The best molten chocolate lava cake and homemade bread pudding. Really good half chicken dish. It’s so hot outside I don’t want to leave the hotel. Just drink some wine and relax here.

This was a really nice bar in our hotel lobby. Clearly overpriced as any hotel bar is but the bartenders were very friendly and it was convenient!

I’m almost afraid to mention it, but if you are downtown for an event(TPAC, War Memorial, Municipal, etc.), this is the place to go if you want a nice meal/drink but not a crowd. On numerous occasions, I have bypassed the long beer line at War Memorial to hop across the street and have a delicious cocktail in between sets or acts. Not even kidding, one of the last times I did this the same folks were still waiting in line for their overpriced keg beer. What really sets this place apart, is the food. I never expect much from hotel dining, certainly not in the bar; but this is the exception. The BF and I popped in here after the roller derby Saturday night for one last drink and much needed sustenance. We ended up splitting a cup of the crab and corn bisque(pretty darn good! More corn than crab, but high flavor). My boyfriend had a Reuben w/fries and I had a cheeseburger w/fries. I never order burgers, but after a long night of roller girls, I was famished. I didn’t try it, but my boyfriend loved his Reuben. It was piled high on marble rye and the cheese was literally oozing out the sides. My burger was the same, cheese wise. It was cooked to a perfect medium well and smothered with delicious cheddar, crisp lettuce and onions and a fresh tomato(which is a feat this time of year). The fries were equally tasty. After all of that, the tab was very much on the cheap side. About $ 30 for two large meals, a cup of soup a beer and a soda. Not bad at all!

Let’s not kid ourselves — this bar in the lobby of the Sheraton Nashville is a bar menu with above average quality(which is not a bad thing at all, but certainly not gourmet). My issue is that with no crowd everything pretty much has to be frozen and the service was really horrific despite the bar and restaurant being virtually empty. On an extremely slow night I had to tell the bartender my drink and my order twice — then I ordered soup as well as chicken sandwich and chips for dinner. In virtually every restaurant in America the soup would have arrived first(unless you specifically order a soup & sandwich lunch), unfortunately here I waited for 20 minutes(with an empty drink for about 5 minutes of that) and then my soup came out with the chicken sandwich. Nobody was particuarly friendly and under no circumstance would I expect or trust this place to make a decent drink — even water required asking and then it was entirely ice which meant that I was out of water quickly and had to ask every time for a refill. For a 4 night stay it would be nice to have a decent restaurant and bar in the hotel but it is clear that I cannot go back here — even the people working there appeared unhappy. Definitely try someplace else.

Gourmet bar food, in a hotel lobby? Yes! I stayed at this hotel, and day after day observed others eating delicious, beautiful food. Finally, I had my chance to eat, and was delighted with my steak salad, perfectly prepared and tasty. I also got to «borrow» a couple cheese beignets from a friend… they might be worth a return trip to Nashville. The food comes from upstairs at Speakers Bistro, so I can only assume that it’s good, as well. Also, the staff here is very friendly and attentive.
