I just moved to Nashville and determined to take a look at Design Kitchen after reading the reviews on Unilocal.I definitely was not disappointed. I simply determined to take the appointment that best meet my availability and ended up with Sara. She was super friendly and fully realized that I did not need a cut with lots of upkeep. She did a wonderful job and the entire experience was wonderful. I will definitely be back!

I was so unhappy to learn that my hair stylist, Mary Stanley, had left Trim Classic Barber in Nashville. But then I was so pleased to discover her at Design Kitchen! Only got an awesome haircut from her today! If they’re hiring quality stylists like Mary, you know it is a wonderful location. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in the doorway – the salon has an extremely edgy yet homey feel to it.

I’ve lived all over the country, so finding a new hair stylist each time I move is always something I dread. I usually base by search on good reviews & Style Kitchen’s is the best in Nashville. Glory is an amazing stylist. She’s gorgeous, has awesome hair herself & is so fun to be around. I wanted a change & it was the first time I’ve ever permanently colored my hair going dark brown to blonde. I’m very happy with the results. Thank you, Glory! :)

Walking in I was greeted by the friendly workers and felt myself right at home. The interior is super cute and well decorated! They also offer a wide variety of refreshments from sparking water to wine! Who can turn down wine, am i right?
Mary was AMAZING! We bonded over boys and serial. She’s definitely my favorite stylist in Nashville! She made me feel like a Victoria Secret’s model, only the hair part though. I felt super fancy and was ready to run the world! Walked out of style kitchen like I was walking down the red carpet, minus the paparazzi’s.
The next day I noticed that a tiny section of my hair didn’t look like it was blended in with the rest of my hairl, so I gave Mary a call and she quickly pencilled me in to help me fix it. Um how amazing is she! She managed to squeeze me into her busy schedule. Mary, you are the real MVP!

You never know how much you appreciate your stylist until you get a bad one. Thank goodness for Style Kitchen and the fact that I NEVER have to worry about that again! Though Mark is my go-​to for cuts, etc, you can’t go wrong with every single stylist there. They are clearly well-​trained and up to date on the latest trends and methods while also being extremely friendly. Scheduling is efficient (though I advise you to book a good bit in advance — great stylists stay busy, so a long wait is a good sign), and they’re fantastic about making sure you don’t forget an appointment or letting you know if a spot opens! I look forward to seeing everyone at Style Kitchen each time I go in, and I always leave happy!

I had my hair colored by Laura today and I am blown away by what an amazing job she did. She is truly a master at what she does. I could not be happier with the results. I finally found my new stylist in Nashville. Thank you so much Laura!

If you need ANYTHING wax, I highly recommend making an appointment with Charity Kirschbaum! She does the best brows! Style Kitchen did a very smart thing by hiring Charity as their Esthetician. After the West Meade Wax Nashville location closed, I was distraught over loosing Charity’s skills… FINALLY I tracked her down to Style Kitchen. I’m a very happy!

Eyebrow Wax & Tint by Charity:
I moved here from California three years ago and have had the hardest time searching for someone to properly shape and tint my eyebrows. I’ve had horror stories of different salons in town making my eyebrows noticeably uneven, paper thin, or completely taking my arch off. I’ve been to about every eyebrow place between here and East Nashville and I am so thankful I found Charity. She takes her time, listens to what you wants, and properly shapes my brows. I would recommend her to anyone!

Chase is by far the best hairstylist I’ve ever been to. I started seeing him a year and a half ago, and in that time he has completely transformed my hair. It’s the healthiest it’s ever looked, and I couldn’t be happier. I’ll never let anyone else highlight my hair again, ever.

My California daughter found this venue on Unilocal while researching for the 2 of us during a visit. And what a find it was! I love Laura — and I am not leaving. After trying many different salons, I could not find the «perfect match». Some salons were too noisy– too far– terrible job or too expensive just to name a few. Some of my prior did an ok job but we had nothing in common and it became painful to listen to their «split ups» and relationships. With one stylist (who I did actually liked) — finally ended up in tears and we me feeling like his psychiatrist i said — enough is enough.
Anyway Laura is perfect and I highly recommend her!

I recently moved to Nashville and was nervous about finding a new salon. I had a great stylist in San Francisco who I’d seen for years, and I was worried that my new stylist wouldn’t be up to par.
Laura put all those fears to rest. My blonde highlights look absolutely beautiful, and after wearing it for seven weeks, this is my favorite color yet! She mixed different colors and made sure to keep an eye on processing times. The highlights are sunny, natural, and don’t have any of that brassy tone. Seven weeks out, you can see roots, of course, but the color still looks great.
And on top of making my blonde look natural and gorgeous, Laura can cut hair too! (My last stylist only did color.) I wanted to cut my long wavy hair into a long bob, which would be the biggest change in years. Laura cut seven inches off my hair into a collarbone-​length hair cut that looks so chic. She layered it so my waves fall right just air-​drying. Laura’s very precise, and she took the time to work with my hair’s texture to achieve that tousled-​wavy-​longish bob I wanted. I’m getting lots of compliments on a style that’s tricky to achieve with my hair type.
So great. And her prices are reasonable. I’m paying less than half of what I paid at a tony salon in SF. Thank you so much Laura! You rock! Oh, and she’s sweet and professional and genuine too. So happy to have found her.

I went today and got my eyebrows done for the first time ever, and it was AMAZING. The atmosphere is wonderful and quirky and fun, and I’m pretty sure Charity is a magician with eyebrows. Great pricing too, especially for this area. Love – nothing but love.

One of the best hair experiences i have had in all my years of getting my hair done. It has been years since i have had my hair colored (due to a very bad experience), and Joseph Barnes definitely took any fear away of getting my hair colored again. He makes you feel very welcomed in his chair, consults with you on what YOU want, and just makes the magic happen. Not only was my color awesome but the cut was fantastic. It was well worth the 2.5 hour drive and i will absolutely be one of Joseph’s repeat customers. The staff there is very friendly and the place itself was very welcoming. I highly recommend coming here.

I. Love. This. Place. My husband makes fun of me for how excited and happy I get the day of an appointment with ANGELICA. I love her so much. I have never been so pleased with a stylist’s work, and the conversation makes me a better person! I get compliments on my hair often… the color, the cut, the style… I give all the credit to her. It’s evident that this is a consistent theme with all of the stylists at the salon! I also very much appreciate this salon because it’s so cool, but not too cool for school. They make people feel very much at home.

Was really disappointed when I called. Asked for Chase, told them I’d seen him at Trim. I was told since I’d be a new customer at THIS new salon, that I’d still have to pay the new patron price, 100 bucks. EVEN though I was a client over at Trim first.
I feel this is horrible service. He’s great, but not worth 100 bucks. Sorry.

I really wanted to love this place. The décor is very cute and the product line (Bumble) can’t be beat. All of the reviews I had read got me pumped for a great experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t go quite as I hoped. I walked in looking to have my thinning (anyone who has had a baby knows about this) hair cut to somewhere around shoulder length from mid-​back. Hair that thin and long doesn’t look good, especially when put up into a ratty thin ponytail or sad bun.
Anyway, I was brought into what I can only assume was a former mixing station area somewhere in the middle of the salon. No windows, no cute décor, more of a white brick bomb shelter-​esque area where they stuck the poor new guy. I described what I wanted from the stylist and showed him a picture. He told me that he didn’t want to cut my hair that short because «he had a feeling I’d freak out». OK. As scary as a change like that can be it took some serious balls to walk into the salon and ask for it. I let him talk me out of it and now it’s 2 weeks later and I’m miserable again with a style that feels too long for hair that is still thinning.
I feel that when paying a substantial amount of money ($ 70 + tip) for a haircut, one is should be entitled to the cut they want as well as a chance to experience the ambiance that the salon is known for! I don’t want to stare at a windowless white brick wall far removed from the cute salon, and I ESPECIALLY don’t want someone who doesn’t know me telling me that he doesn’t want to give me the cut I asked for, but rather do what he wants. He was a nice enough, albeit quiet guy and I understand many women do freak out after a hair cut like that, but it’s not his call, his money, or his problem to deal with after I walk out of the salon.
I will continue my search for a stylist in the Nashville area.

I went to Style Kitchen after reading the reviews posted here, and I’ve loved working with Laura! She’s super friendly, precise, and works well with curly hair.
The space itself is fantastic. Each stylist has their own station, which is separated from the open floor with a floor-​mounted mirror. There’s plenty of natural light and comfortable seating.
If you are unsure as to who you should work with, I’d recommend calling the main number and asking the receptionist. The woman I spoke with was very helpful in providing a recommendation.

Style Kitchen is such a fun hair salon!
Angelica is the best!!! I am VERY picky when it comes to my hair stylist and she is incredible. She came highly recommended by a friend and I’ve been going to her for a year now. My cut is always amazing and she’s the best colorist I’ve ever been to, plus she’s sweet as can be. My blonde looks blonder than ever thanks to her!
I have sent more than 5 friends her way and everyone is smitten as much as I am!

Style Kitchen is a super cute little salon.
After lots of hesitation about trying a new stylist due to too many bad experiences lately, I’m so happy I found Laura! She really took the time to talk to me and find out exactly what I was looking for. I walked out out of the salon with one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. I’m really thankful I found this place, and an awesome new stylist! I totally recommend Laura, and Style Kitchen!
