Probably the worst case scenario when it comes to dealing with property management. I would have to have a lot of hate in my heart to be as crappy to their clients as they have been to us.

Meh is a good way to describe my experience. They gave my my unit key and my mail key when I arrived. However, the mailbox they told me was mine definitely isn’t mine. I’ve been trying to get them to tell me what box is mine, and they haven’t gotten back to me. I’ve tried my key in EVERY mailbox in the mail facility, and it doesn’t work in any of them. I’m waiting for some very important mail, and it doesn’t seem to matter to them. Also, they say in their leases that they will not send maintenance out to clean out clogged shower drains. That’s fine. I don’t have a problem cleaning out my own hair. However, what I discovered is that they don’t EVER clean out shower drains. I moved in and had to clean out the previous renter’s hair. That was absolutely revolting. I wouldn’t recommend leasing from them.

Summit was an absolute nightmare to deal with and I would strongly urge anyone planning to use them to look elsewhere. I rented a property from them for three years and was the perfect tenant– paid on time each month and took great care of the condo. About two years in a huge rack holding floor to ceiling curtains fell in the middle of the night and rather than ask if I was alright or when they could come fix it– I received an accusatory email implying I was responsible. Apparently being about ten feet away not touching it not to mention being sound asleep wasn’t clear enough evidence that I didn’t pull it down. Additionally the people in the office are nearly impossible to get ahold of no matter how many voicemails or emails sent. Emails from them have been extremely rude and unprofessional. It’s a real shame such nice properties are being mishandled by such an awful company.

This company has the ABSOLUTEWORST business practice and customer service I have ever experienced. They are unresponsive when you submit an application but are very quick to process your application fee. It took 2WEEKS for them to tell us that an application was submitted ahead of ours, thus causing major problems in our moving scheduled. And the only way we found this out was by calling over and over again. If you are looking to rent from one their properties or use Summit has your management company I would steer clear!!! I cannot stress enough how unprofessional they have been!
