The Cotton Mill Collection

The Cotton Mill has an impeccably edited selection of designer clothing. I completely disagree with Kim J. here… maybe she is not from around there (I am), but I’m not really sure what she is talking about with «worst reputation for service and ownership in Nashville» (interesting that her only other review is 5 stars for a competing boutique less than half a mile away, just saying)…the owners are wonderful people and it has been the standard for places to find everything from resort wear to evening wear for years! Milly, Tibi, DVF, Nanette Lepore, and the list goes on. Even though yes, the clothing is pricey, they are established designers, people. Go to the mall if you’re looking for something cheap. Plus, they regularly have sales (I get their emails).

I fully agree with Ellen F. But let me elaborate a bit! Cotton Mill Collection is the more pricey, upscale sibling of Cotton Mill Lifestyle just around the corner. Same great service though. Actually, my favorite sales girl, Neely, just switched stores. Yay for Collection! She is fantastic, honest, and just so sweet.
The brands here are top notch. I’ll just add Tibi to Ellen’s list below, and their collection of jeans is amazing… Joe’s, Paige, Seven, Chip and Pepper, William Rast… yes you can get these jeans at several other stores around town, but you won’t get the service anywhere else.
Their collection of evening gowns is so glamorous… even though at this point in my life, I don’t often have an occasion to wear them, I like to just go in and look at them and dream!
If you are looking for a bit more upscale and dressy, check out Collection over Lifestyles… although some of the clothes are interchangeable between the two stores. Ask for Neely – but any of the sales people are outstanding! Minus one star only for the prices – it’s spendy, but make sure to sign up for their emails. They do often have sales.

the clothes are gorgeous and the service here is incredible. I can’t wait until I’m a rich older bitch and I will be able to afford to be completely outfitted in Diane von Furstenberg, Nanette Lepore, Alice and Olivia, Milly, and the like.
