Great place for pitchers and pool. Also, I love that they have local musicians play live music in the bar. Everyone is always friendly there

I love this place. We hit it up about once a week– the owners are very friendly and are always accommodating! I love the new putt putt game and golden tee is always a must! Stop in and give them a try:)

New ownership took over bar on June 1st. Place is already being renovated and cleaned up. Darts, Golden Tee, Silver strike Bowling, Pool and every sports channel imaginable. Great food and tons of beer choices. Highly recommend!

This place is awesome and I second by saying dont judge a book by its cover. This was one of the friendliest places I’ve been to in while. Unfortunately they don’t serve liquor but I must say they have the best prices on pitchers. I ordered a pitcher with 3 glasses not only did they fill the pitcher but all 3 glasses before bringing it to us. Oh and the best part, it only cost $ 10! I could definitely do without the smoking but all in all great place to go and pre-game before or after you hit the lake.

Best bartenders ever! My wife and I have lived just a few blocks away for years and just a few months ago went there for the first time. Now we would consider ourselves«semi-regulars.» Marilyn greeted us right away and introduced herself. She prides herself on knowing everyone’s names. She is the top reason we keep going back. The service is outstanding. It’s never too crowded and Marilyn is verry attentive so you never have to wait for service. The beer is cheap and the food is decent. It is a cash only bar, but there is an ATM next door. You can easily have a few beers and a pizza for under $ 20 so you don’t need much cash when you go. They have a few pool tables, darts, a jukebox, big screen TV, and several smaller TVs around the bar. There is a stage, but we’ve never seen a band playing. They started doing free burger Wednesday nights so if you’re looking for something super cheap to do during the week, then this is your place. Outside they have some nice open air seating and a corn hole set although we’ve never seen anyone playing. This would make a great place to bring a group of friends wanting to hang out on the weekend, because you’ve got plenty of seating without having to battle too much of a crowd. We’ve also found the clientele very friendly. Most will introduce themselves and accept you as part of the group even if they’ve never met you before. Marilyn makes sure everyone knows eachother as she frequently introduces new clientele to the regulars so everyone feels at home there. For anyone new to the area and looking for a good local joint, we definitely recommend you check it out.

Don’t judge a book by its cover, or a sports bar. ;) When my hubs and I first pulled into the Loading Zone parking lot to meet friends for a beer and pizza, we thought we must be in the wrong place. It was a bar at the end of a sketchy strip mall in Antioch, that was not pleasing to the eye. We totally judged a book by its cover. Oops. When we walked in, we were instantly greeted by the nicest waitress /bartender, and were pleasantly surprised by the interior of this sports bar. The place is basically split up into two sections: The bar area, and the pool /darts area. In the bar section, there were only a few tables, but there were many bar stools. There are 2 or 3TV’s, a jukebox, and this bar DOES allow smoking. There is also a stage — so they’ll occasionally have bands or karaōke. On the«gaming» side, there are like 3 pool tables, and darts. It looked so fun, but sadly we weren’t there long enough to play. The beer was good, I think $ 4 a pint, and they had Landshark, Sam Adams Lager, Fat Tire, and some other apricot-y pale ale on tap. Beyond those, the bar was stocked. :) They don’t have much variety on their menu(hot dogs, and pizza mostly) but it was actually pretty good. We got a Large pizza with every topping they offer on it: Cheese, bell peppers, green and black olives, sausage, pepperoni, ham, onion, jalapeño, and more. It was delicious and totally hit the spot. This place is cozy and definitely gets the job done for pizza and beer with great friends. It is not fancy-schmancy — but sometimes that is just what I am looking for. I’ll go back for sure for a good hang with good buds.
