A fun little place to hang out! The soda floats were tasty and I love that they have themes(my visit coinciding with my favorite: Star Wars) for floats. There are also old school arcade games to play unlimited for free. What more can you ask for?

This place is seriously soooo good. I went here a few weeks ago with my friend & we both really liked it. She got the orange dreamcicle & I got the monkey something? It had like vanilla ice cream with chocolate something in it(sorry I can’t remember the name) but they were both really good and the place is freaking adorable. I wish it hadn’t of been freezing outside or we would have sat where all the hanging lights were. The place was a bit smaller than I had imagined but still cute & still delicious. I’d say each drink was like 5 bucks but you get to keep the cup so I don’t feel like that’s too bad! Didn’t try any of their little deserts but I will next time!

Amazing! Great ice cream floats in Mason jars. Cool tees. Great service. Made the short Über trip here before the Music City Bowl, happy we did

of all the places i visited in nashville, the soda parlor was definitely one of the most unique. we stumbled upon this newly-opened hidden gem while exploring the marathon mall before heading into corsair distillery for a tour and tasting(if you’re visiting from out-of-town, you should do both of these things). we met olan.(be jealous) he’s the coolest. he’s super friendly, kinda odd in the best way, and has an incredible approach to business which is especially admirable given today’s economic climate. i LOVE to support awesome businesses and genuine business owners/good peoples. you should too.(and look him up on youtube. prepare to LOL) we met some super cool employees who chatted with us about soda, ice cream, olan’s videos, and nashville tidbits. the soda parlor was still pretty new, so i’m super excited to see how much of a following and community it’s cultivated over the last year or so. i’m not the biggest soda drinker, but i thoroughly enjoyed a cold root beer while perusing the fun shirts for sale. boyfriend loved his float… the vanilla ice cream was yummy. we bought a few shirts and sweatshirts for ourselves and gifts for friends. really good quality, super comfy, and i want more!(good thing they’re available for sale online… doooo it). i adore this simple, quirky concept. arcade games. indoor and outdoor seating. a comfy friendly environment. some clothes, in case you spill soda on yours. and the community gaming events and movie nights are a splendid addition. i really can’t wait to return(too bad nashville is so far away from nj).

If you love a twist on the usual root beer float then this is the place to go. The atmosphere is great, and there are games to play if you are up for it.

Harry Potter references? Got it! Awesome atmosphere and friendly staff? Of course. But it’s the floats that take the cake. The owner Olan has done a good job acquiring a wide variety of sodas and some of the best ice cream ever. He has quite a few float flavor options. I got the The Broomsticks, because my love of Harry Potter and cream soda know no bounds. And let’s just say it was nothing short of magical! Sorry, bad pun. My sister got one with Lemonberry Jones Soda and it was super delicious as well, I believe it was called Summer Nights. I remember the other flavors were The Battle Moose, which consisted of Moose Tracks ice cream and cream soda. There is one called Starscream I believe, but I cannot recall what is in it. And they have a secret flavor! It isn’t on the menu, obviously. It’s called the Fight Club,(so don’t talk about it!) So it definitely doesn’t come with black coffee ice cream nor the delicious cream soda.. . Sorry I was drooling but I’m back now. Unilocal has it listed as men’s clothing, but I bought of shirt there in a medium and it fit me fine! Definitely unisex as well. They have free arcade games, score! Plus it’s just a really cool place to be. I don’t watch Olan Rogers’s videos, but I hear he pops in from time to time and you can catch him there occasionally. So basically, a must go to in Nashville if you have the time.

I’d never hear of Olan Rogers before coming here. I know he’s on YouTube and… something about cats. Other than that, dude can make a mean ice cream float! Grab one of several awesome homemade creations then kick back on a couch, enjoy the outdoor seating or dust off your Mrs Pacman skills on the free-to-play arcade!

We drove through Nashville, on the the way back to Orlando, from Grand rapids just to stop here. And it was worth it. The floats were super great, the ice cream was legit. It’s a fantastic location, nice place to hang for a bit. Next time we are in Nashville we’ll be back.

Unbelievably fantastico! Yes, it is! Did not know about the free classic video games that were available(Pac-Man, Galaga, Ms. Pac-man) Halo and and Wii! But also, having good sodas and floats. A bit pricey, but supporting local businesses is a worthy cause!

SOGREAT! A very chill atmosphere. My little sister and I are huge fans of Olan. We bought some shirts, sodas and played on the free arcade games. Wish there was something like this in our town of Branson, MO. We wish Olan luck!

Ah, the humble ice cream float. Not heavy like a shake that can weigh a guy down but more satisfying than a glass of coke or iced tea. The soda parlor, while serving various unusual and premium types of soda pop, specializes in the ice cream float, and does a rockin’ good job doing it Yes, you can get a declicious good ol’ root beer float, but try one of the other fruit, cookie or spice inspired floats, each served in a mason jar with old-fashioned cardboard straw, whipped cream and sprinkles. I had a «Three Broomsticks» float today, basically butterscotch and I think I will be happy the rest of the day. The Soda Parlor appears to be intentionally hidden, nestled int the back of the old Marathon Auto building, which also houses the American Pickers’ Antique Archaeology store. The sign on the outside is tiny, so don’t miss it. Also, Unilocal has this place at $$ for pricing, but 4 dollars and change for a generous ice cream float is one heck of a deal in my book. Although food options are limited to soda pop and floats, you can also browse an eclectic selection of T shirts, sit inside or outside and relax, or play selection of vintage arcade video games. Yes Bob, they have Donkey Kong, Jr. Just come here and enjoy the art of floating.

The Soda Parlor is a nice classic soda fountain hidden inside Marathon Music Works. It is quite a gem as I can’t think of any other dedicated soda shops in this town. They have both bottled soda and soda on tap for sale and but what is magical about this place is their floats. I can’t remember the name of the one I got but it had classic cola with vanilla ice cream on top. The place has got a vintage yet hip feel to it; from the drinks being served in mason jars to the old arcade games, the Soda Parlor is a great little hang out spot. They also have an outdoor seating area and other merchandise for sale. Friendly staff and having games to keep guests entertained is what gives the Soda Parlor a cult following. Their soda is served is sharply branded reusable plastic cup this will surely get their name out. Check it out before they take off!

I knew of Olan Rogers from his youtube videos but I didn’t know about this store when I stumbled upon it. This store has a very chill environment with great sodas! I unfortunately didn’t get one of their floats but I wish I had. They have great merchandise and great customer service! I did their 4 bottles of soda for $ 6 deal and the soda is very simple and delicious! If I had known at the time that all tips helps college funds then I definitely would have tipped, sorry Olan! I would return if I didn’t live all the way in Virginia.

Cool little soda parlor with a variety of natural soda pop and floats to choose from. Free video games and a relaxed atmosphere make this a great place to cool off on a hot summer afternoon. If you are in marathon village it is worth your time to visit.

The Soda Parlor is a super chill space! Jake greeted is & was very kind. The floats were delish & I only wish we had more time to enjoy it all. I had the expecto patronum & it brought right back to Harry Potter world. I hope to come back soon!

Got the chai tea bottle of soda(wow wow wow) with vanilla ice cream. This place is clean and comfortable, totally one of a kind. You could easily kill a lazy afternoon here. We enjoyed our drinks out back underneath the water tower. Really beautiful location. The building has other stores and restaurants in it as well that looked interesting. The Soda Parlor also sells prints and tshirts. They’re exactly what you would expect from Olan Rogers — soft fabric, high quality card stock, beautiful designs. Okay also, there’s an old school PacMan machine, or something of its kind by the entrance. So if that doesn’t win your patronage, then I don’t know what will.

Find my surprise when I was looking this up to write a review to find out this place is NEW. It had such personality and spunk that as a new-to-the-area individual I figured this would be a STAPLE in Nashville. Unfortunately enough people in my clothing size must have felt the same way as they were out of my size :(BUT that does not detract from the trendy and playful designs they have. Especially since they very intelligently placed a stack of business cards emphasizing they started as an online only apparel store with their link( ) nifty-ly printed. I happily stashed that card with me to place some orders once pay day comes around. The Soda Parlor in itself is GORGEOUS. And has what(if I remember correctly so don’t shoto me if I’m wrong) a star trek space ship printed on the wall. I didn’t get to try any of their floats as I just came from a nearby coffee shop with coffee and cookie shamelessly in tow(unto which I say thank you for being amazing sports at me doing that as I know that’s often and understandably frowned upon). Now to find some friends to take back here with me…(and restrain me from buying everything in sight and gorging on floats…)

At the end of October this year, The Soda Parlor opened its doors, offering a wonderful blend of Olan Rogers’ t-shirt designs, on tap sodas and floats with Jeni’s Ice Cream, and one of my favorite room designs in Nashville. The t-shirts all have wonderful design. I wish I could buy three of them right now! Everything from a cat with a Indian headband, to a shirt simply reading«It’s a Monday» make for some fun clothing. The float was divine. With Maine Root soda on tap, and Jeni’s Vanilla Ice Cream, you cannot go wrong. I suggest that they should do special floats with different Jeni’s Ice Cream each week, allow for custom floats on the menu, and make your own whipped cream! They have the best soda and ice cream, no reason they can’t have outstanding whipped cream too :) I’m happy about this place. Good times! Update: they seem to be doing some specials now. Good job! Been lovin them so far :)

Changing my review to 5 stars as I was informed that if you ask for a float made with a bottle, you get the full bottle. Sounds like a winning tip to me! Thanks, Olan! Delicious! I’m a big fan of this right off the bat because they use Jeni’s ice cream in their floats. Jeni’s is excellnt and I appreciated that touch, as an Ohio transplant(which is where Jeni’s is from)! We tried the«All Hail Starscream» which is a cola float and the«Freaking Fosters» which is a Sprecher’s Orange float. We loved the floats, they were topped with whipped cream which tasted freshly made and flavored sugar, which was also a nice touch. I have to say, for the price, was a little disappointed in the portions, otherwise, this would be a five star review. The drinks were fantastic, but at $ 5.50 a piece, they were gone in minutes and left me wanting more. I think a more generous scoop of ice cream and a few more ounces of soda could have been nice. Overall, the atmosphere was very nice. It’s a comfortable space with a lot of cool things to look at. The items for sale were diverse and interesting. I really loved the leather goods near the front and one of those leather ipad cases is going on my Christmas wishlist for sure.
