All said – the location is great.
However. I had to wait 30−45min for my appointment (that had been scheduled). The optometrist didn’t answer my questions very thoroughly, and I got hung up on during one phone call. I spent a week very frustrated with my time there. The contacts seem to be the right prescription. However, I was expecting it to be off – not a good feeling when you leave any kind of doctor.

Worst eye doctor ever. Got my prescription wrong the first time, then made me pay for a second exam. Spent 45min –1hour waiting on appointment. Go to pick up classes and it takes 15min for them to hand me a box. Go to the other counter and they don’t have trial lenses, this is a week plus after the exam, and tell me if I want to wait an indefinite amount of time they might be able to find them. The entire time the lady at the front desk gives me an attitude. I apologize if I seem unpleasant but your disorganization is not an excuse for wasting my time.

Previous to this visit I had been going to the office located in Katy. I prefer this location so much more because there are only two doctors (I think), where in Katy there are too many doctors to even know which one I was seeing. They are both good offices. Great staff and doctors, but I do like the smaller office staff in this Clear Lake location. Also very easy to reorder contacts from as well.

Dr. Muecke was great. The reason for only 4 stars is that they used some machine on me that my insurance didn’t cover. I wish I had known about this ahead of time so that I could have opted out. Additionally the wait time after the dilation drops was quite long.

What a great experience. the staff at both the Clear Lake location and the Weslyan locations are top notch ! Had Lasik last Friday and it was an amazing experience all the way around. Highly recommend Berkeley for all your vision needs.

I’ve been going to the main Berkeley Clinic for years, not thinking I could go to one close to me, so much easier for me than driving down town. Nice clinic off Nasa Rd 1, and such a nice friendly staff. Saw Dr. Tom Muecke for the first time and he is the best! Berkeley Customer since I had my Lasik in 2004.
