Allen Edmonds Men’s Shoes

Kirsti was awesome. I previously bought a 8.5D, my usual size. Kristi measured my feet, and got a new pair to try on. The fit was perfect. Ended up with a 8EEE. My shoes were shipped to me from the factory and arrived in 3 days.

I received an email that AE was having a clearance sale, and they had a pair of boots I’d been interested for $ 197 (retail was $ 275 I think). I went in to the mall and checked them out. They have a rubber sole with a heavy duty tread and they didn’t come up too high on my ankle, so they were exactly what I was looking for. They didn’t have my size in stock, and actually didn’t have any available, period, but they were able to special order a pair for me. I was dreading what would happen if they didn’t fit, if they would accept the return since the style (the Cascade boot) was being discontinued.
The clerk told me it would be 3 – 4 weeks.
Surprise! I get an email about 2 weeks later that a shipment was on its way. At first I thought I would have to go to the store to pick them up, but they were in fact shipped directly from their «factory» or what have you, custom ordered. The best part? I paid the sale price, and there was no charge for shipping.
As for the boots, they were a little tight but after a few wearings they are super comfortable, and got here just in time for the nasty weather so I don’t have to wear sneakers in the rain /​snow.
Seriously, this just reaffirms my initial review. You pay a pretty penny but you get exceptional quality and customer service.

I went to this AE store in Natick as I was afraid I bought the wrong size. Scott was very helpful in helping me size up my feet to the correct size. In the end it looked like the shoes (AE Strands/​Walnut) were the correct size. I just wanted to applaud very good customer service.
