I’m a LMT and was pleasantly surprised with my experience!
Wow! I walked past this place when I first walked into the mall. I had some shoulder pain (from doing massages). My therapist used heavy pressure, including elbows. After a little while she used a hot stone over the area. Then, I thought she was adjusting the towel on my back, to wrap things up. But, no! She climbed onto the table and walked up from my feet to shoulders. Nice. So glad I made the snap decision to stop in.

Ask for Coco for foot reflexology. She doesn’t speak too much English but that’s ok — you’re there for relaxation and some semblance of quiet anyway. Actually that’s the one thing that sucks but I think that’s why the prices are fair — the mall noise is far from relaxing but truthfully I didn’t care — the foot massage was out of this world!
So my bf and I are on our feet in clinic or hunched over desks for admin all day long everyday so we thought we’d treat ourselves after some shopping. He went for a back massage and I went for a foot massage. For a back massage, they have private partitioned off areas and for foot, you get to sink yourself into a nice armchair. I used to go to spas for massage and have had 8 or 9 different massage therapists. I’d say Coco is a contender for #1. These ladies have insane strength and awesome forearms and they know how to hit all the right spots! I had so many trigger points in my feet and she hit them all. My guy was happy with his massage, too — again, great with the trigger points. Fair prices!
I’d suggest you come here right away and book an appointment if you want a massage after a shopping trip or call ahead — this place gets super busy!
Next time I’m in the area, I’m definitely coming back for an hour massage and longer if they have the option! 4.5 stars

Every time I need a massage I come by here. Great spot, very professional and every time I leave feeling relaxed. They always manage to work out the areas in my neck and shoulder where I have the most pain.
If you want a massage and quickly the chair massage is a great option. Very affordable prices too.

I don’t know how I’d manage my chronic pain without An Kong: whenever my headaches become unmanageable again, or my neck stiff & sore every single day, or my shoulder & arm start radiating pins & needles, I get here ASAP. Haitao Yu (the owner) knows EXACTLY how to fix me up, and after a back and neck massage by him, I’m back to my better self within 24 hours (for the first 23 hours, I feel like I’ve been cagefighting, lol… this is NOT a «relaxation massage» as I’ve previously stated… he really gets in there to fix the problem so expect some achiness the next day, totally manageable with an Advil & some rest). My pain was so bad yesterday in my head & neck that I could barely move: I wanted to take my head OFF MY NECK to relieve the occipital headache. Spent 20 minutes with Haitao &left almost COMATOSE with relief & a sense of well being… today I’m moving freely with no pain. If you need a real, intense, therapeutic massage with lasting benefits, go here. I don’t consider this a luxury: to me it’s a health necessity & at the reasonable prices, I’m OK with that!

This place makes me so happy… So convenient (I work right next door), super clean and friendly, never too busy for a same day appointment, and the best part is their rate is basically $ 1 per minute (a little over). On top of the fabulous rate, they’re so thorough and have such strong touches, that you have to be really messed up to even need more than 30 minutes. Perfect massage for someone on a right schedule and tight budget!
Also, I very much agree with Sharon H. If you’re looking for a gentle massage, a friend do it — it’s free. If you’re looking for some real healing, this is the place to go.

Everyone who works there is awesome. Great technique and in my case, wicked deep tissue. Love it! Best money I spend all month. No appointment and awesome results, so glad they are conveniently located in our mall!

I HAD ZERO CLUE!!! OMG!!! I could only fit in a 30 minute deep tissue. I walked in crooked, and walked out STRAIGHT as an arrow. The tiny little thing jumped on the table and used her knees to unravel my lower back and hips — GET OUT OF TOWN. I was skeptical, but walked out a believer.

I have had numerous employees give me massages. I love that I can simply walk in with no appointment and pay for the exact amount of time I want. I have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing (especially for the price.) I don’t know much about massage technique, but I know that I always leave feeling a thousand times better. Thanks!

Love love love this place! Felt so much better after the 30 minute massage (have been wanting to get one for days) definitely recommended! For all the bad reviews about the process being too «heavy»? It’s tui na! It’s supposed to be! ;)

Excellent Tuina (massage) technique! I went there in January 2014 and got one half hour Tuina on my back. The lady was so nice and good at what she does. Highly recommend!

I went in with a lot of pain and stiffness in my shoulders, back, and hips. I asked for a 30-​minute deep tissue massage, and really received it. The massage therapist often asked me if her pressure was OK, and I would say yes! So I recommend An Kong for three reasons: good practitioners who work hard and check in with clients frequently during the massage; very reasonable prices and variety of services including 20-​minute chair massage; and walk-​in timing. It’s great to go in when I feel really stiff and not have to make an appointment in advance.

I’ve been here in the past and it was ok however I was extremely (!) disappointed with the service today. My girlfriend and I both had «massages» that were haphazard and unpleasant. When I approached the receptionist after to express my dissatisfaction she called the boss on the phone then told me he said «too bad there’s nothing we can do.» If you go, be aware that the management cares little for its clients and seemingly only wants your cash. A little customer service goes a long way. I certainly won’t be returning.

Ladies with POWERFUL hands. I have lots of shoulder tension from sitting at work all day. I like to hit this place up on my way home. Quick 30min massage does the trick. When you tell them you have shoulder tension, they FOCUS on that and really work out the knots.

I’ve been here twice now, and it’s a good, no-​frills place to get some kinks worked out.
I frequent a lot of these mall massage places, and while this isn’t my favorite one (that honor belongs to U-​Relax at Providence Place Mall… swoon!), this is a solid contender, to be sure. Sure, you still hear some of the hustle and bustle of Natick mall and its patrons, but it’s a nice way to decompress for 20, 30, or even 60 minutes.
The first time I went, I tried a chair massage for 20 minutes, and the lady who worked on my neck/​back/​shoulders was a BEAST… in only the best of ways. She got out a lot of knots and was just the right amount of firmness. $ 20 (cash) well spent.
The second time I went, I tried a lay-​down massage for 30 minutes. The guy was nice and asked which areas I needed the most work on – well, «everything» wasn’t an option, so I told him my neck and shoulders. He was able to adjust the level of firmness with which he massaged me, which was nice, and kept me informed about other things going on with my body – e.g., I have some kinda issues with my tendons, which affect pain in my hips and legs, so that was a good heads up to have.
He not only massaged me but also put some analgesic on my back (smelled like Tiger Balm – that stuff is AWESOME), to help with the discomfort in that area (due to this tendon issue). Pretty thorough. I wish I had asked for more than 30 minutes, but due to time crunch (it IS the holidays, after all), that’s all I could spare, and so I coughed up the $ 31+tip (they charge a bit more if you pay with your credit card) and promised them (and myself) that I’d be back.
And, yes, I will indeed be back for more later.

Don’t be fooled by the «5 star» reviews. The thing that I will say is good about this place, is that if you are desparate for a massage, you can walk in and be serviced without an appointment. I have gone to this place several times, and there is one middle aged woman that is very good. the rest, you roll the dice with. I will say that my last visit really killed any chance of me ever going back.
There is a man that works there (not the owner) and he gave me a chair massage once. It was awful. I promised myself I wouldnt let him massage me again. Well, after a stressfull day at work. I was desparate. so I went to the mall. Sure enough, there was the guy, waiting for his next victim. He insisted on helping me, so I gave the man a chance, hoping he would do a better job. HUGE mistake. He was VERY rough, fast, and unfocused. It wasn’t even a massage. it was 30 minutes of him digging his elbow into my shoulder blade. Thats it. I repeatedly told him he was hurting me, and he just kept repeating «its ok. its very good». WORST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE. To make matters worse, when I told him how sore I was from what he was doing. he told me when I got home I could put heat on it! This place is all about the turnover. Get you in and out. I told the guy my hands were tired and achy, could he massage my hands. what did he do? He rubbed my elbow (hard). I wasted $ 35. and I will certainly not go back.

I went to An Kong while on vacation in Massachusetts visiting family. After the stress of travel and sleeping in unfamiliar beds, I developed a painful knot in my left shoulder that I tried to ignore until it got so bad I couldn’t turn my head. I looked up a few massage places online and opted for An Kong because it was affordable, they offered short massage times, it was nearby, and it didn’t require an appointment.
In Dallas (where I live), I have a regular massage therapist who is amazing and who I trust very much. I’ve had lots of massages in the past and I knew exactly what I needed. Wail on my left shoulder for half an hour, please! It was definitely a no-​frills kind of deal, but I wasn’t looking for a long massage in a spa setting — I just needed some pain relief.
My massage therapist did focus mainly on my troubled shoulder and had really great pressure. I left feeling about a thousand times better than when I came in.
Bottom line: This place is a lifesaver if you need some bodywork RIGHT NOW. Would I go there if I was seeking a languid, relaxing, spa-​style massage? Probably not. But was it perfect for giving me some much-​needed relief mid-​vacation when I didn’t have a lot of time or money to spend? You bet.

I went here needing some deep tissue work. This reminds me of the places I went to in Japan. Private but not luxury. Didn’t hear the chaos of the mall.

While Christmas shopping at the mall, I had the brilliant idea that I should give myself a massage! …but seriously, I was in excruciating pain.
Was quickly welcomed in — décor was pretty nice. The man working at the desk offered me water and a bathroom — just what I needed after walking around for hours at the mall!
The woman gave me a very thorough massage in a private room. I had some serious knots and she aggressively worked on them. I’ve never really been interested in the «deep tissue» type of massage, but due to the raging knots in my shoulders and neck, I definitely needed it! I left the massage feeling much better, and woke up the next day with my muscles sore as though I had worked out. It was a good sore though, and definitely preferable to the tightness I had been experiencing.
$ 30 for 30 minutes — fine by me! Just wish I didn’t have to walk around the mall with a bright red circle on my face afterwards :)

I must say I was looking forward to my visit, as I’ve needed a massage for quite some time. I decided to not spend too much money since I’ve never gotten one and I’d work my way up if I didn’t like the experience. Let me tell you…
I lay down and the woman came in to begin. It started out well, I was surprisingly relaxed despite how public everything was. I was in a private «room» so it didn’t seem as though the whole world was right next to me. Things were going well and i was feeling the pressure points and the pains of untying my knots. I knew that this must mean I’d feel great afterward because the pain is only the step before the comfort.
I got up after my hour session and felt EXACTLY the same as I had before. As opposed to the warm stones other massage parlors use, she had used some bag heated gel that didn’t do sh** for me. I got dressed as quickly as possible and went out to pay. Only when they swiped my card, it didn’t read it. I’ll admit, my debit card is a bit worn but my nearly new credit card wasn’t recognized either. So they held my license while I went to the other side of the mall to take the money out from the ATM. When I went back with the cash, they were laughing at me. Yes, it’s a riot that your card machine is only for show and your clients get stressed and hurry from one end of the mall to the other. That really helps after just getting a massage. The next morning, no changes. I’ll shell out extra money for someone who knows what they’re doing.
