Decent menu, good location. The service is inconsistent– If they focused on that I think they would sell more food, drinks and improve the experience. This is based off of five plus trips there. I wouldn’t take slow, inattentive and seemingly annoyed staff one time as the norm, unless it came to be.

Food is fine, a modest selection of beer, wine and cocktails. Nothing special but not bad. Service is good and the location is central. They also have weekly specials and live music.

A gem just outside the center of Natick. Nachos are enormous — and the select on tap is excellent. A definite stop for those looking for casual dinning — but don’t want to suffer a boring atmosphere

Great portions of quality comfort food. Friendly staff. This applies every time out of the numerous times I have been here. I was there when Toby L. was there, per her recent review, and she is just a sad person who hates life. Anyway, some clientele are there a bit too much, but with good food and friendly staff, it’s understandable. My one request is to turn the lighting up a bit — it can be rather dark and feel a bit dreary however, I am overall a fan of Morse Tavern and its quality operation.

Poor service, bartender was rude, owner was too busy talking to make sure guests were being served. I really wanted to like this place because it is local but after 3 visits and no improvement, I do not recommend this establishment. Go down the street to the center of Natick for friendly, efficient servers and good food!

Went to Morse tavern last week had the grilled Rueben which had thin Cuts of Pastrami… it was good. Went yesterday and the pastrami was cut thick making it gritty and very hard to chew. RUBBERY, it was lousy. Server at the bar was in her own world. Had to get up and get a menu from the front counter, then flag down bartender NICKWHEREAREYOU it was an excellent Greek rest. To bad Local seem to get better service and the attention of the entire staff. This will kill the business sooner or later Also our bill was wrong, Chargers for our food were put on someone else’s bill… it was corrected before we departed but charges had to be deleted then reentered

The food is delicious. All home made and nice selection of choices. The chicken pizza with veggies is a must try. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and has a nice local neighborhood feel.

This review has nothing to do with their food. I went there on a Tueaday night and ordered steak tips and a diet coke, the bill came to $ 19 which was fine but the next day I noticed my credit card had been charged a little over $ 43. I called Morse Tavern to rectify the situation and was dismissed and have not received a call back or any sort of resolution to the matter at all. I now have to go through the process of issuing an affidavit with my bank which has no guarantee of providing me with money back. The $ 20 mistake would not even have been that big of a deal, however they have not been responsive and it now makes me nervous that I should check my statements more carefully after dining out. I don’t know if they are deliberately stealing from customers but they are deliberately ignoring them.

Morse Tavern is awful. Came in on a Monday night and realized it was $ 4.99 burger night. The place was PACKED and there was only one poor waiter trying to service all the tables in the main dining area. We expected the service to be slow but it literally took us over 2 hours to get our food(which wasn’t even the burger). Luckily we got our drinks in a timely fashion, but it took us so look to get our food that I was DRUNK by the end of the meal(1 tequila 2 tequila 3 tequila FLOOR). I wasn’t actually even drinking tequila, but that’s not the point. Once we did get our food though, it wasn’t like it even tasted good. One of my fellow diners order the«lean» roast beef sandwich and it ended up being all fat and gristle. We got a side of onion rings for the table that were literally tasteless. And I got a god damn salad that took 2 hours to come out. Pretty disappointing if you ask me. So, Morse Tavern, if you’re going to have a special, get some additional staff and fire the ones you currently have(at least the kitchen).

My first and last time at the Morse Tavern! Tables are way too close together if you sit in the booths. We were practically on top of the table next to us. Service was ABSOLUTELYHORRIBLE!!! Waiter came over as soon as we sat down and asked what we wanted to drink. We hadn’t even opened a menu, didn’t even greet us with his name. Drinks took about 15 minutes to come out once we ordered them. Food came out after 45 minutes of waiting(2 burgers and 1 sandwich — not that hard/time consuming) and they were brought out by a food runner. At this point the waiter had never checked on us so we were all sitting there with empty drinks. He came back after the food was on the table for about 10 minutes and asked if we wanted another drink — DUH, of course we do. I got a chicken sandwich — gross. No flavor. Piece on focaccia bread with peppers and onions. Seasoned with nothing but a little bit of salt and pepper. Total waste of $. After he brought the second round of drinks. Never came back to check on us. We finished and were sitting for about 15 minutes staring at him talking to people in the bar and finally we asked the food runner to run our card — he asked him for his login, he wouldn’t give it to her and told us he had to deliver something to a table and would then run the card. Awful! Will never, ever be back there again.

Morse Tavern absolutely sucks. The food is mediocre at best. I was so excited when we finally got a bar in town, but this place is just disappointing. The beer is expensive and the draft beer tastes like crap. The lines need to be cleaned and it is apparent that they never are. They never have any drink specials. I go to this dump a handful of times a year hoping that it will be better than the last time, but it never gets any better. I would avoid it.

Food is average. Service is terrible. I asked for a glass of water and it took 30 minutes for the waitress to refill my glass. I would not go back.

Great Meal! My husband, son and I went there tonight for cheeseburger night. $ 4.99 each for ½ lb yummy burger with French fries, onion rings and coleslaw. More delicious and cheaper than eating at home! And no clean up at home! Very Autism Friendly :)

I’ve been here a handful of times and I have to say that I like this place very much. It’s got a great atmosphere, friendly staff, great management. The food is great too. They have live music, trivia– if I lived closer, this would probably be my bar of choice. Happy to come back here again(soon I hope!)

We went here last night with a party of six. Four of the six had never eaten here before. Two of the six said that they had been there a few years before and didn’t want to go back because of previous experience. Anyway we went. The service wasn’t great but wasn’t bad either. The atmosphere was acceptable and the food was pretty good. The price with a party of 6, some alcohol and two apps, worked out to $ 21 per person(tip not included). Overall, I wouldn’t object to going back again.

I have never been to this place but I went for lunch. The place is huge and not busy at all during lunch so it was a bit surprising that it took some time to get our food. Pet peeve of mine is when you do not get automatic refills on the soda. Maybe just a bad waitress. I got a barbecue burger with onions. I really could not taste the burger over the non descriptive barbecue sauce. There was way too much sauce — I guess subtle is not in the vocabulary. Also super messy and we had to ask for extra napkins. The food was pretty pricey for what it was — so I would skip this experience.

Great burgers and beers! I also loved my salad for just 1.99. My friend got the salmon and the rice smelled awesome! Totally recommended

I’ve been in here a few times… The first two times it was to get dinner with friends. On these occasions, the food and service have been pretty mediocre. All the trusty, New England coronary-inducing standbys are on the menu. Nothing was intriguing or unique. The last(and FINAL) time I was here, I was nine months pregnant, on my way home from a scary doctor’s appointment. My husband and I were seated to have lunch. We were the only people in the non-bar, dining area, and… NOONEEVERCAMETOSERVEUS. Having lived all over the country, I’ve been into some pretty questionable joints… and this has n.e.v.e.r. happened to me. We obviously got up and left; but the kicker was, when we were leaving, the hostess said«thanks guys, I hope you enjoyed your lunch.»(Umm… she was in visual range of our table and had to notice that we had neither eaten nor been greeted by waitstaff.) «At Morse Tavern, the joke’s on you!» *derp*

Dinner last evening, took the bar forever to get our drink order. Waitress came back, apologized and took our food order and we still waited even longer. Wait staff really needs to step up their game, they mope around, and seem not to want to be there. Now for the food, we generally enjoy this spot as the local pub and don’t expect fine dining type food but… come on!!! The chili was first, a disgusting pile of pasty nastiness, ingredience were indistinguishable from one another and it tasted like hot dog chili from a can. Next were the nachos… not bad as nachos go… spread that nasty chili all over it… gross! I must say the lamb was pretty decent and so was the French onion soup, a little salty but ok!

This is definitely not the place that you want to go to for a good meal. Their food is pretty mediocre but they have a good beer list and their staff is friendly. While their servers are nice and chatty, the service is often slow and sometimes inaccurate. Trivia on Tuesday nights is a lot of fun though and the gift card prizes they offer keep you coming back!
