Once again Peter knocked it out of the park. This June we celebrated another family wedding and hands down the music was second to none. From the ceremony itself through the cocktail hour to the dinner Peter managed to keep everything in beat. So much goes into wedding planning as I’ve taken note of having had two sons get married over the past few years. This is easily the best call you can make. Peter is much more than professional, he is personable and receptive. He has a way of reading the crowd and getting everyone up dancing and keeping the part going till the last dance. No doubt calling Peter(Sound Choice) is the only choice for you next event.

I worked with Peter on our wedding and could not be happier! Peter was a great asset and helped provide a quite professionalism that made our wedding even better. He had to deal with a group that had a great number of requests from a huge and diverse body of music and was able to pull it all off seamlessly. His quite yet persuasive tone helped keep the event moving and resulted in everyone mentioning how fun a night it was and how great the music was. Peter was very easy to work with and I found his pricing not only reasonable but very easy to understand. He was very accommodating and in all the insanity of our wedding I never worried about the DJ and the music as Peter always gave me the impression he knew what he was doing and all was under control. Which it was! I strongly and highly recommend Sound Choice for your DJ needs.

I hired Peter to DJ my wedding and when we first started working together, we were on the same page. Then, 3 days before the wedding, the man who worked for Peter who was actually going to be DJing called me to tell me he did not approve of my playlist because I did not have Beyonce on there. I do not like Beyonce. He argued with me for an hour and a half on the phone, three days before I was to walk down the aisle. Way to anger an already stressed out bride. Then, at the wedding, he walked away from the music to eat, and Christmas music started to play and he paid no mind to it. The wedding was in the start of June. He only played about half of what I had on my play list. He played songs I specifically asked not to be played, and often would find me on the dance floor or walking around to greet guests to tell me that people were requesting these songs to make me feel bad. I say, go find someone else who will be respective of your wedding needs.

They say that the DJ is one of the most important elements that can make or break a wedding reception. Peter«made» it, for sure, and a TON of our guests told us it was one of the best receptions they’ve ever been to. He knows his stuff and he read our crowd like an expert(well, I guess he IS an expert). Peter met with us a few weeks beforehand and we hammered out some of the details. My fiancée and I are musically-challenged(we didn’t pick the processional until two days before) and Peter was a tremendous help with excellent suggestions that matched our taste perfectly. He was also incredibly flexible, changing the plans at the last second while the reception was underway(thanks, Peter!). He even quietly checked with us halfway through dinner to make sure everything was going well. We asked Peter to do a lot — from running the music and microphones at an outdoor ceremony to zipping inside to play a video and introduce multiple speakers — and he didn’t miss a single step. He also provided our lighting, which turned an otherwise boring ballroom into a big, big party. Plus, his extensive pre-wedding checklist helped us iron out some problem areas and even include some creative touches that we NEVER would have thought of on our own. We are SO glad we went with Peter and Sound Choice Events. Five stars indeed!

I run a car show every year which takes a year to plan. We must have a sound system at noon so we can announce that the show has begun. I found Peter on Craig’s list. I asked for his references which were good. I sent a check for 1⁄3 and booked the date and he was told that he was to start at noon. The day before the event he called and confirmed that the setup would be at 11 am so he would be ready for a noon start. At 11:35 we still did not have a DJ at the event. A woman showed up right before noon. She said she was caught in traffic. I was amazed that it wasn’t Peter. He never told me that he was an agency and that he had subcontractors. The references I got from him named him as the DJ not an employee of his. I was very annoyed. This is an event with specific time lines which must be announced over a large area to a lot of people. The crowd is mostly couples in their 40’s and over so we like the tunes to be mellow. The music was good until it got a little loud and hip hop. The DJ(Evelyn) was told and rectified the problem. Being the sound system to a large event is not a small thing. The contracted agency should make sure that the person they are sending can get there in time. So I think traffic is a lame excuse.
