Torrid is my absolute favorite store to shop at. There are not that many stores for plus size girls to go and find clothes that do not look like a grandma. My one complaint is that I have to travel from Maine to new Hampshire. Please open another store in Maine!

This place is very odd to me, but I have occasionally been able to find some good things. The first weird thing is the sizing. There are sizes 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4. A 0 corresponds with a regular size 12⁄14. Omg, I am a size 0! If it weren’t for this store, I’d never be able to say that! Next weird thing is the bizarre motifs– day of the dead, skulls, lots of goth vibes here. Other thing I find strange– why is it so expensive? I don’t even look at stuff if it’s not on clearance. Why is a random plain tank top $ 30? I prefer to do most of my shopping in other stores, but sometimes you can get some interesting lingerie here. I’ve not had any success with the clothes– they seem to favor empire style waists which I am not into and even the clearance stuff is still way overpriced for what it is(said tank tops). I would recommend most for lingerie which is relatively traditional looking — no skulls or random goth things on it.

I am so glad that there’s a Torrid closer to me. They have great jeans, hosiery and usually a plethora of snazzy sale items. Torrid is plus size AND stylish which is perfect. I sometimes feel like plus size stores are often too matronly, outdated and unnecessarily expensive. Not here. Even their jewelry is designed to fit a more thicker wrist and finger and shoes for wider feet. Other notes: Sizes 12−26÷28, but they are marked as 0 – 5. For instance size 0 is a 10/12, size 1 is a 14⁄16 and so on. Located on the 2nd floor across from Forever 21. The hot pink torrid card is great for savings. Helpful staff, Katie is a sweetheart.
