The Ronda Rousey of Their industry. Got too big for their britches and forgot the basics. When you think and believe you are the best and believe your own BS, We know what happens next. You stink in regards to communication and customer service. Call these clowns. The answering machine is always filled up. Nobody answers the phone or emails. I believed in this company but now I’m done. There are much more deserving companies I can spend my money at. I’m going to stop payment on my card.

Very slow shipping, when it finally arived they sent me the wrong barrel. It took me forever to get a hold of the worst customer service I’ve ever delt with and they absolutely refused to try to make it right. Well over a month later I finally got a partial refund and I had to fight even more to get the rest of what they owed me.
These people don’t know what they have in their inventory, they send out the wrong things, they treat their customers like crap and do everything they can to keep your money even when they mess up.
Avoid doing business with Ares Armor at ALL COSTS!

Came in with my buddy to purchase an 80% lower and a lower parts kit and was a little annoyed to find that the staff that was working the counter couldn’t really give me straight answers regarding pricing for the uppers that I was interested in. It’s my first AR I built and I felt a lot more knowledgeable than the actual staff.
Also, the phone customer service was horrible. Everytime I called regarding if they had any uppers in stock, the guy just said «you’re just going to have to come in dude and see what I have on the walls» with much attitude. Definitely lost my business and will be taking it elsewhere.
The Oceanside location, however, had much better phone customer service for those who were wondering.

I’ve had excellent expirences with this store. The first thing I bought from them was all the parts for my upper for my pistol a year ago. My bolt carrier group was bad and Dustin swapped it out for a new one. I completed my rifle build and couldn’t be any happier. The online side of things I believe is in Oceanside. I’ve had good service online too though.

so i’m not the one who is into this whole gun thing… but apparently I hang with gun folks. including my husband, my son and my daughter (ugh)…so far it’s BB guns and airsoft… but the future is pretty clear.
I really can’t tell you what my husband buys here (because I don’t pay attention at all)…but when we go in here… they are all super duper friendly and helpful! my husband says that he likes the inventory… so I guess that is what really matters in a business. If you are into guns (or your family is)…yup…i think you would want to come here…
FYI…the one thing i do understand is that they don’t actually sell guns… what they do sell is gun parts (if you’re reading this… you probably understand what i just said better than i do)

Came here before and bought handguard, barrel, gas block and flash can. They were very helpful and installed my gas block on the spot. I came back again because I had installed my handguard and messed up on the barrel nut. I called them and they helped me out and installed the handguard with an extra barrel nut. Daryl and Albert took care of the problem. Good Customer Service and knowledgeable guys! Thanks, will be buying from them again!

I built a .308 from one of their 80% lowers and bought all the components there at a pretty reasonable price. That was my first two visits in and they were good. I purchased a 1911 frame off the internet from a different company since the frames they carry are ridiculously expensive. Once my frame came in I realized I needed to buy the tools for it and decided to go in to the store rather than spending a lot of time searching the internet and waiting for them to arrive or ordering from the ares website where they’re 70 bucks. When I arrived at the store i was told they were sold out of what I needed and if I wanted they would give me a call when they came in (still pretty good.) I said I’d just come back in about a week. A week later I came back and was happy to see the tooling in the case. I had never seen the guy working there before and when I told him what I was there to buy he told me that ares doesn’t sell just the tools and that they only come with a jig for about 400 bucks. I calmly explained about my trip in the week before and the fact that they were listed on their site. His answer was «then order them from the site.» I was a little annoyed since every other time I have been there everyone is really helpful and this guy just wanted to bitch to me about the ATF. None the less I decided to buy a couple of magazines for my rifle. I could see them from the counter and he proceeded to tell me that they didn’t carry them. When I pointed them out and said yes they did he told me that I was mistaken. He then went back to telling me all about the ATF raid and how stupid they are. I don’t know what this guy’s deal was but I left with the sneaking suspicion that he thought I was an ATF agent. By the way I am not. I only went to this place because it is local and was a fun trip literally everything they sell is way cheaper from other companies on the internet.

Be warned… There customer service is horrible, well really nonexistent. Have problems with me very first on-​line order. Tried calling dozen times (don’t know how many time I had to listen «Don’t worry be happy») and send 6 – 8 emails and posted on there Facebook page. Got so feed up I sent more emails and more voice-​mails to cancel to entire order. So, what they do… charged my credit card. Now, I have to dispute the the charge with my credit card company. This has been going on for 4 – 5 days… who wants to business with a company that doesn’t answer there phone during the stated business hours.

My son and I had a great experience with Dustin and his staff on Saturday. We had a spare lower and he spent HOURS helping us both select parts and building it. The best part was that he did not do all the work. He pulled my son behind the counter and had him get as hands on as possible. He would start a piece and them have my son finish it, explains every step along the way.
We will definitely return, we had a great time and the staff was fantastic.

I try and support local business over online shopping most of the time. However, when you walk into an actual brick and mortar store, you do so expecting good service. That is after all what separates them from online retailers.
So 2 days ago I bought a jig for my 80% lower, turns out it doesn’t fit because my lower is a TR Enabling lower. So I go in to return the item, I even read the policy online that states «All products to be returned must be carefully repackaged in their original packing» which the jig was unused and even still bubble wrapped.
Once in the store for return, I’m told only store credit can be given, a $ 135 item. Because that’s what a little sign says that’s stapled to the wall.
After asking to talk to a manager about it, one is not on shift at the time, except there is one, but he’s visiting from the Oside location, due to a break in the night before. So I guess that means he doesn’t know the companies policys for some reason. He just stated he wasn’t familiar with what the online site says, it’s not like there wasn’t a pc 2 ft away from him. Nor was he able to say anything of value to the conversation. He lied about how the old TR lowers used to fit, I told him I’ve been sitting on mine for over a year so it is the old model, he had no response. So I get one of the other employees to phone a manager, he says store credit only as well. Eventually the employee says He’ll take off 10% off anything in the store, so I break, and start looking at optics, ended up with an Aimpoint PRO for only $ 1 more than the Amazon price, so I’m happy.
However, I will never do business with Ares again. I tried to like them, but with such a lack of care from management, no uniformity in online and in store policy, and the store really doesn’t carry all that many options for much of anything. I’m going to have to stick with online retailers for now, due to them being cheaper, more options for parts/​gear.
When your business is competing with online retailers who offer EVERTHING and more, and at better prices. Customer service is all you have going for you, and you didn’t perform adequately in that regard.
If I was the owner I would fire that «manager», then take a serious look at my business model. A lot of improvements need to happen. Increase in accessories for starters, more options for lowers like colors, coating, engravings and such. 4 lowers on display, only 4, isn’t that what your supposed to be known for?
I know Dimitri is doing good in the gun community and all, but you need to take a step back and know when to fold em. I’m not suggesting closing your doors, but maybe online retail only would suit the company better. Save money, and reduce the risk of break-​ins, from what I recall is that the national city location has been broken into at least 2 times now.

Dimitri and his goons laughed me out of their store when I asked whether or not I could get a 30 round magazine clip for a ghost gun. Furthermore, they made some calls and some guys from «Bait-​Fee» showed up at my house to revoke my 1^st and 2^nd Amendment rights with a written order from some guy named, «Richard Cranium.» If you wanna stand around staring at a lot of awesome gear that you couldn’t possibly afford to buy all of in your lifetime while getting solid, knowledgeable customer service, then you should go here. But I wouldn’t recommend trying to buy any parts or accessories for your ghost gun here, they won’t negotiate with terrorists.

The guys are super friendly and competent and will go out of their way to help/​accommodate you.

I came to Ares Armor because something was broken on my S&W M&P 556. Something wasn’t right with the buffer and springs. Dustin was more than happy to help me figure out what went wrong and help get it repaired. I came here because I knew threw «the grape vine» that Ares Amor only delt with AR parts. I was able to get the parts I needed and go out to the range later that day! Thanks Dustin! I’ll be back for a scope, a new improved upper, and anything else I might need. Accessories, accessories, accessories…

This store feels like family, they give you a lot of information about every product that they have and don’t use high pressure sale tactics to get u to buy. I will keep going back to this place just because of the way customers get treated. Highly recommended, be safe and have fun.

I have done business with them a few times. Their prices are very good and their customer service is excellent. They even upgraded my order when an item was on extended back order.
I like their selection of American made products.
I also appreciate that they stand up for their rights as a lawful business, while supporting the rights of the citizenry.

This business is awful. I’ve have been waiting for a gun part for two years. They immediately took my money and only give excuses. Do not do business with these people.

I’m an internet customer and San Diego resident. I can vouch for their top notch customer service. Their hardware, gear, nylon etc is all made in America, which is respectable these days. I’ve built a AR pistol using their 80% polymer lower, BCG, fire control group (CMC) and gavel safety/​selector lever. all of their gear thus far has been bomb-​proof high quality, made in America, and at a price point that the other manufacturers can’t match. I live here in San Diego and originally found them online. I have ordered quite a few things from them through their website. I am very happy with their innovative products and excellent customer service. And made in the USA… gotta be happy about that!
