If you read the review by Jon S posted on 5÷14÷2014 you will have a good description of the location and convenience of this condo building. I’ve lived here since April, 2013 — looking to move now because the current condition and safety of this condo building and its accompanying garage and parking have deteriorated significantly. 1) There is NO security currently. This is probably one of the reasons this place is no longer safe. 2) Since November, at least 3 cars have been vandalized in the garage and at least 1 motorcycle was stolen and at least 1 unit was broken into. 3) Jennifer was great! She is no longer here! 4) Some units are privately owned and owner occupied. These people care about this place. Some units are privately owned and rented. Some units are owned by Pacifica and rented. 5) The parking behind the building is no longer available for resident and/or visitor parking. These parking spaces are now reserved for the 3 businesses that occupy the 1st floor. If you have more than 1 vehicle or visitors — street parking only. 6) Last week I was confronted by a very aggressive pit bull on the 9th floor. She was unleashed and charged up to me barking, stopped about 2 feet away from where I was standing and barked very menacingly. It appeared as she was definitely going to attack. I’ve owned 5 German Shepherds and I currently own a pit(but I keep him in my other home which is not in CA), I understand dog behavior and I have no fear of dogs. This dog was definitely in attack mode. Finally, her owner put her on a leash. But unleashed dogs have been a problem here. I posted a pic of a notice that was placed by management on every unit less than 2 weeks ago that supports my statement regarding dogs. 7) On a positive note, the pool & jacuzzi are being maintained well. 8) In September 2014, the entire building was RED-TAGGED. In other words, the city forced all residents out due to the unsafe condition of the stairways which were rusting terribly. Many residents moved out prior to the deadline to move and others like myself chose to stay right up until the deadline. Pacifica and the City reached a last-minute compromise to make the necessary repairs and the City lifted the red tag. However, as of January 30, 2016 the repairs have not been completed. On Tuesday, February 22015 a meeting is being held and one of the items on the Agenda is the unsafe condition due to the lack of security on site. It is my hope that as a result of the meeting the HOA will decide to reinstate the security. But if there is no change, I WILLMOVE and I recommend that before moving here you consider very strongly whether this is a safe place for you to live and maintain your property. I have decided that given the current status this is NOT A SAFEPLACETOLIVE!

This place is not bad compared to other places I’ve lived. When I lived there, there was some problem tenants in the building but they left. It is managed by a real estate agent named Jennifer! She is super nice! She really cares about all of her tenants and she does everything in her power to accommodate them! You will not find a better leasing agent on the planet! I just got military orders moving back to San Diego so I am thinking of renting here again. I hope they keep up the pool! Last time I lived there in 2012, the home owners association was doing a pretty crappy job! The pool was closed a lot and the hot tub was green. I have heard they have gotten better though. But the pros outweigh the cons with this place! I think having a good land lord is the best part of living here.

These condos are convenient for military members since the base and exchange is only a couple minutes drive from here. There is also the convenience of the I-5 south and north bound ramps since you know you always have to take the freeway to go to somewhere in San Diego. If you don’t drive, the trolley station is also a 5 min walk from here. It has a nice pool, jacuzzi, and mini gym that only residents can access and also a good little Mexican food restaurant on the street level. They have their own parking garage but limited to only one car but additional guest parking behind the actual building. The also provide a security watch that walks through each floor. They have 1 – 2 bedroom floor plans and you need to schedule at appointment ahead of time to reserve one. The only utility you pay is electric. There’s no cable and no wifi so you must add that yourself. I lived here for almost 2 years and Jennifer, the landlord has been very helpful and always attends to every little inconvenience you may encounter. Overall, it’s a nice little place to rent in if your not permanently staying in San Diego and it’s the best place to stay in national city.
