Changed this review to a one star — never ever again will I give my business to this place!!! Called in to order a «Cali burrito» w/my choice of meat as listed on the menu. Spoke to a woman named Carmen. I told her I would take their Cali Burrito and for my choice of meat I would just substitute all the choices and have the cook Toss in shrimp since I don’t like meat. She said«no, your choices of meat are…» And rattled off some carne asada, chicken, pork choices. I said okay but I don’t eat meat so can u please let me get shrimp??? She said NO again to which I replied«let me get this straight, your cook can’t toss some shrimp into burrito ???» She said yes we can do that. Perfect, now we are getting somewhere. I say«ok great that’s what I want. That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you the last 6 minutes» To which she replies, so what kind of meat do you want? And rattles off the choices again. There’s no explaining how frustrating this truly was. I said I DONTLIKEOREATMEAT, I WANTITWITHSHRIMP. She said no we can’t do that. I asked to speak to someone else, at this point I’ll pay $ 50 extra just to add some shrimp in my burrito. Omggggg!!! She says there is no one else to help me and at that point I ended the phone call NEVEREVEREVERTORETURNTOTHEGASSTATIONTACOSHOPAGAIN.

Food came out fresh and hot. The burrito took two hands to carry. Surf and turf meet California burrito.

Best place for cali burritos. Great price for so much food! They taste amazing! The customer service is so great also. I really like the fact that its in the gas station. Gives you options for drinks ect. I actually had there three tacos with beans and rice the other day. It blew me away SOGOOD. So sad we are moving away from this wonderful place. Cant wait to go back for our one last time. I highly recommend, even being on a budget, its great for you!

The service and ease of placing my order was good. I ordered 5 rolled tacos and a carne asada burrito. The burrito was priced some change over the 6 Dlls mark and I don’t mind paying if the burrito was either mite flavorful or being larger in portion. The flour tortilla was too rubbery and was hard to chew, the asada meat lacked flavor but was cooked well. The rolled tacos in appearance looked very well but the tortilla was dryer then expected and seemed like the taco was more of a fried tortilla due to its lack of meat I side the tacos. I did enjoy the amount of guacamole served and the salsas given were also very good but could use some salt. I have tried their horchata I the past and they are also very good too. I recommend this place only if your trying to save time and are in a rush to get in and get out. I will stick to my regular places for now

I was craving a burrito, and this was the closest place that was open late at night. It’s inside the Valero gas station in National City, which was a surprise. But the burrito was great, and I’ll return again when I want another one.

Wow. Like previous reviewers noted, the last place you’d expect to find good mexican food is in a Valero gas station. The burritos are fresh and huge. Everything is made is house and delicious. If you’re in the area or getting gas, this is must stop for something to eat.

Who the heck would of thought that a great burritto place could be found in a Valero gas station in National City. Well this place is great. The Charger Burritto is the size of a newborn. Carne asada tacos are great and so are the fish and rolled tacos. I havent tried everything yet but I am working on it.

I’ve had the burritos and thought they were a bit greasy. However, the carne asada tacos are delicious! The portions are very generous and the food is flavorful. This is a pick-up window style restaurant inside of a gas station so there is not sit down dining. It’s a good spot to stop in for a quick burrito or taco for the road.

Good fresh mexican taco shop in a gas station. Food is hot cooked fresh no pre-cooked meat. Guacamole is bright green! Big portions too! Friendly and good customer service.

This place is inside a Valero Gas Station!!! The food is tasty and the portions are MASSIVE. All for a decent price. Take out only, but worth the trip. Generally, their burritos can feed two people.

I work nearby and spotted this on my way to get on the freeway. I used my fellow Unilocaler’s reviews to check it out. I just had a bean and cheese burrito, nothing fancy. The counter people were pleasant. My burrito was humongous, delicious and just under 4 bucks. It had lots of cheese and yummy beans wrapped in a slightly chewy tortillas. Just the way I like it. It made two lunches for me. The verde salsa has a nice burn and very tasty. I can’t wait to go back and try some of their other burritos! They have an online menu :)

For a gas station taco shop. Literally! For a gas station taco shop it is not bad at all. The quesadilla has something to be desired but the burrito my co-worker…HOLYCRAP! The thing easily was 7 pounds of Shrimp, Carne, Potatoes, Rice, and whatever else they piled in it. The biggest one I have seen from a ma and pop taco shop. It was called the Charger, now if plan on ordering it, be prepared to share or explode your gut if you rock this thing solo! The prices aren’t bad and it is convenient having it attached to a convenient/gas station cause all the drinks and little things are there you can get while your waiting for your food.

I must say the sizes of their Burritos are unbelievable. This is my second time coming to this taco shop and so far I haven’t been disappointed. The Burritos are huge and prices are reasonable. It’s not a sit down taco shop, everything is carry-out. It is very convenient being that it’s inside the gas station because you can pickup drinks and other things while you wait for your food. It’s right off the I5 and easy to get to. If your passing by through the freeway or in the area stop by and check out.
