I dropped by the Dunn-Edwards store on Sweetwater Road after driving by about a million times in the past. I was in search of «just the right color» to paint my newly-drywalled living room/family room ceiling. After being greeted by an attentive and friendly clerk, I perused the color chart on the wall. I hemmed and hawed, dillied and dallied, until finally the clerk asked me if he could answer any questions. I said yeah, which color do I like best?. .. They have about 30 shades of white, believe it or not. He asked me to wait, and walked away to fetch something. He came back with a complete set of Dunn-Edwards color samples for me to take home. That certainly expedited my decision ! I went home, looked at the ceiling, looked at the color chips, and was able to arrive at a decision. I showed the color to my contractor, who would be applying the paint, and he, a man of very few words, said, «Huh. Good choice.» From him, a supreme compliment. I went back to Dunn-Edwards to return the samples, and the same clerk told me to keep them, since I may be buying paint from them in the future. He’s right, I certainly will be. The Sweetwater store may be one of their lesser-volume outlets, but I recommend it to all.
