I brought my cousin from a foreign country to this store, thinking it was a great place for both clothing and service. My cousin purchased a dress that she tried on in store and went home to show her mother and her aunt. She put the dress on and when my aunt didnt approve of how revealing it was, my cousin also realized it was indeed a bit too off the shoulder. We placed it back in the bag(not worn and with receipt and all) and carried on with her vacation. A week later, when we had some time to go back to Lane Bryant(today the 16th of Aug) we walked in to the store, dress in bag and receipt and went to return the item or exchange it. The lady who helped us was quite rude and said she could not accept this dress because she thought it was worn. I mentioned it was no more«worn» than it was in the store fitting room. It was not worn anywhere else. She then began to point out«darker» spots on a navy blue and black dress saying it was«more black» on so and so side. Ridiculous. We told her we DIDNOTWEARITOUT and she insisted, though hestitant, that it was wrinkled(keep in mind its a scrunch top dress and pure cotton material) and that that was wear my cousin had sat on it. We again stressed it was not worn and that her remarks were making no sense; she then said there was nothing they could do with her attitude and snooty face and was SO sure of the stains and«ass marks.» RIDICULOUSLOUSYSERVICE I HAVENEVEREXPERIENCEDINMYLIFE. The customer(s) were dismissed and accused of ridiculousness. Lousy, lousy, lousy. Lets just say we are never coming back.
