Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! A rating of 1 star is to high.
We bought a dishwasher BestBuy with the Geek Squad protection plan. The first time we had a problem with the unit, we called and a technician was sent out from La Mesa Appliance. They came when scheduled, ordered the part, and a few days later it was fixed. Last week, the unit started leaking so we called the Geek Squad again. This time they told us that Mastertech Appliance would be sending out a technician. I scheduled the repair for the following Monday in the morning. Monday came and by late morning nobody had showed. I called Mastertech directly and was told that my appointment was moved to Friday because that was the soonest the tech who worked on that specific brand would be available. I would have been nice to have gotten a call considering I’m the customer. I told them that Friday was not acceptable and that we needed the tech to come out sooner. They then scheduled me for a morning appointment on Wednesday. I told them that we needed someone out to the house before noon because our son’s graduation that afternoon. They said that would not be a problem. So today, Wednesday, I called to find out if they had a more specific time for when the tech would be here. I was told that it would be between 11am and 1pm. I told them absolutely not. Eventually I spoke with a supervisor who told me that I needed to call AIG (Geek Squad) and request a different company to come out. REALLY???
I told the supervisor that they had horrible customer service. No response from her. Told her that the best thing I could is let AIG know that they should drop Mastertech as a service representative. They other thing would be to post a bad review on here. So, here you go folks.
Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!!!

Seriously, I would give these guys a zero rating if I could. I needed service on a Monogram refrigerator and GE did not have local service in the area and I was referred to this company by GE’s Monogram Warranty Service. The only positive thing I can say is that they were very prompt to make the initial appointment and was available right away. From there, it just went downhill. This was the absolute worse experience I have had with a service company. It took several appointments to fix the problem, each time citing that the «new part» received from the manufacturer was defective. Sure that happens, but I went back and forth with this company and had the technician over several times replacing the same parts. I also made the mistake of asking them to look at a burned LED interior light in the refrigerator. Big mistake! Yes, i get it that it’s not a simple light bulb, but these guys made 4 different trips back just to fix the interior light.

Hard to believe how this place stays in business. An «F» rating with BBB. Danby appliances from Canada uses them for warranty repair and no one else wanted to work on our Danby dryer. We have spent almost $ 800 on fixing this appliance and now are being told it will take several hundred more and we should just junk it. They are either incompetent or crooks, hard to tell. We have contacted Danby in Canada and they are actively looking for someone else to work on their equipment. In the meantime I would advise against purchasing their products as you will have no one to repair them. They still owe us $ 95 they «forgot» to credit.

Horrible service. Waited 3 months for parts and after they finally came out to install it is actually worse as now the dryer won’t heat. This is my first review on Unilocal but feel like it is necessary to let people know.

If there was a NO star rating for this company, I would select it. I totally believe all the bad reviews listed below. I was caught in the loop between Mastertech and Danby, the manufacturer. Danby won. Mastertech reported that my brand new ac unit (well under warranty) needed a new motherboard. Then they told me «no one in the world has this part» and to deal with Danby. I gave Danby hell, but they really saved the day. They sent the part to Mastertech and I am currently waiting AGAIN for the tech to show up. This company has wasted far too many days of my life awaiting their tech who looks like he’s about to drop dead at any moment. I bought the ac in Sept., on line from Walmart. That was not a mistake. A month later I put in the call to Mastertech. It is now FOUR months later! The girls on the phone are nice to me NOW, but were not very nice previously. They got paid from Danby and they considered the matter over. Well… it certainly was not over. I’m seething as I sit here, waiting for this tech…

Seriously awful… one star on both of their Unilocal pages is no joke. I had to deal with them for an appliance under warranty and it went terribly from start to finish. The receptionists make you feel like they’re doing you a favor by answering the phones, and they’re regularly just flat out wrong about their own policies. I finally got an appointment scheduled and they just never showed up.
If there is any option, choose someone else. Clearly the only reason these folks are I’m business is because of the deals they have with manufacturers for warranty repairs.

This is a very dishonest company. I’m warning anyone who reads this, DO NOT CALL! I’m trying to save you 95.95 on the service call. When I called to schedule my appointment they dispatcher asked for my
model number so the tech could bring parts to potentially fix that day. When the tech showed up, no parts were brought. He was at my house for about 20 – 30 min. Left an invoice for $ 521 dollars. Left my house and cashed my check within 20 min. Did I mention my refrigerator only cost $ 1200? Did I also mention that it was just the ice shoot that needed to be repaired? No one in their right mind would ever pay this. I called and complained to the supervisor about how I was completely disappointed with this lev of service and all I wanted was my 95.95 back. She tried to argue that everything was justified, and so I told her I was going to complain to fridged air about this. She then quickly decided she was going to refund me back my money. Well that was back in the middle of August that she agreed to this and a check had yet to come. I even followed up with her about this around the time I was suppose to get my check and she said her team issued it and she would send me a confirmation email. A few days went by, not confirmation email sent. I called again and she blamed it on her co worker for them not emailing me. So she finally sends me the email showing the invoice written on with the check number. But they wrote in the wrong name. So I was told I would get another email with the new check number and date. I have yet to get that email and et to get a response back from my email. I have tried calling the companies number and it goes directly to their voicemail (2 days in a row).
I passed this complaint on to fridged air because I have wasted enough time on this poor excuse for a company.

STAY AWAY! This company is HORRIBLE. Communication is non existent. They showed up to diagnose my NON working fridge, then went AWOL and I haven’t been able to get a hold of them for days, even after leaving several emails and voicemails.

I would not recommend this company. They do contract repairs for Frigidaire extended service agreements or should i say DON’T do repairs for Frigidaire. I’ve paid for an extended service agreement for several years and when I finally need a service call I get nothing but long periods (usually about 30 minutes multiple times) of being on hold waiting or busy phone numbers with a useless appointment scheduled one week out that is not honored. I finally reached the Frigidaire service rep after 31 minutes on hold and here’s what happened. The day arrives and both companies point their fingers at each other for being at fault of the cancelled appointment. BS! I called both companies and now they tell me it’s another 10 days wait! Ridiculous! Jerry Seinfeld should buy this script! I guess I’ll call a guy on my own and cancel the useless agreement.
Update, I was able to cancel my extended (do nothing agreement) and they never sent any refund but I did get a bill for the service call where the guy refused to fix it. I called Uzak Appliance repair and he came out the next day and replace the belt. $ 50 BAM!

I do not usually write poor reviews but this is a warning to anyone needing an appliance repair. Do not use this company! They do not order parts, return phone calls and you will wait forever on hold if they answer the phone. I waited over a month and still do not have the part. A total of $ 376.00 for the repair, this is for a dishwasher that is just over a year old and stopped filing with water. I was told it could be more if this did not take care of the problem. I finally cancelled my order and am looking for a new repair service.

I will never use this place again. I called for the last 3 weeks wanting to know the status of my parts. I yelled and used one bad word and they were going to send a message with the managers to see if they want to still service my dishwasher. They basically told me it was my fault for purchasing a frigidare product and they are a piece of crap product. They had not status on the parts. I’m surprised they aren’t out of business with all the bad reviews I’ve read. I’ve learned my lesson. I should’ve Unilocaled this company before.

Unbelievable flaky business! I was given their name by Frigidaire to fix my fridge under warranty. I’ve tried calling the business 8 times this morning and the phone either rings busy or goes into a voicemail telling me that I can leave a message and they will call me the next business day?!? NEXT BUSINESS DAY??? Seriously bad!!!

This for repair of Miele Cooktop, they did come and told us they need to order the parts, it has been more than 2 weeks, nobody called, I called and left a voice message in their answering machine, nobody called me back for 3 days; I had to call few times to some human being to pick up the phone, so it doesn’t take me back into answering machine. So, this time the lady said she wasn’t sure what was happening and will get back to me before the end of day! From reading the other reviews hope these guys know what they are doing as they are either to busy or dis-​organized and the owner needs to get everyone under control or start losing business!

my appointment was cancelled because it was raining… RAINING! and it isnt even raining all over the county.

0 stars! I had made an appointment for them to come over and check out our refrigerator, and no one showed up! I called multiple times and finally someone answered. She said that they had to reject our appointment because they don’t have any openings til the end of March! They had no consideration to even call me to let me know that they weren’t coming! Terrible service!

Please do not hire this company to do anything… very horrible service… you will be calling them all day long just to reach them.
The receptionist is avoid your calls and do not pick up and when she picks up she is loud. Can’t believe they are still in business.

Terrible service. Find another company to repair your appliances. I wound up canceling my work order with them because they were so difficult.

If you even think of voluntarily calling this company wait a month and then call (thats how long they will take to repair your appliance — or LONGER).
Miele dishwasher broke. This company was contracted with warranty company. Over two months and dishwasher still not fixed — «Part is not in», «Part cam in but was damaged». «They no longer make the part». These people have flat out LIED to me and the warranty company.
The entire time the repair guy was there he complained about the brand and how hard they are to fix — seriously. The girl on the phone is short and has lied to me.
TWO MONTHS and still not repaired. Today I called another company.

Do not let their name fool you. This company is a JOKE! They simply should not be in business. Just look at the other reviews.
From not returning my calls, to «fixing» my dryer (which then started with the same problem again right away), to putting you on hold for a ridiculous length of time.. . this is what you can expect from «Master???» tech. Awful, awful, awful!
I would give them a ZERO if I could.

I received MasterTech’s contact info from Danby, the manufacturer of my dishwasher, and warranty provider.
The receptionist answering the phones was friendly, and placed me on hold for a bit (not as long as you’d expect to hold with the utility or phone company). When she came back on the line I had her full attention, which was great, as generally you can tell when someone is multitasking. She went through a series of questions to determine what was needed, and was patient when I didn’t have all the information at my fingertips. (It’s helpful to have the following: Make, Model #, Serial #, Warranty #, Date of Purchase, Detail of problem)
They had an opening the next day which was perfect for me (these dish pan hands are getting wrinkly). The receptionist let me know I would receive a call between 8−9am the next day (date of apt.) to let me know the time frame of my appointment (4 hour window of time), and that they could also call my cell 30 minutes prior to arrival.
The next day I printed out the warranty and receipt, received my phone call at exactly 9am on the dot, and had the first apt. of the day. The technician would be at my place within the hour. Timing was perfect, and Mary reminded me to have the receipt & warranty printed out for the technician. She was both friendly and helpful.
Larry arrived promptly, reviewed the problem, repeated the problem by turning on the machine (the drain pump was super noisy) and immediately started fixing it. Within an hour he had removed a tiny little plastic piece from the pump — a foot off of a serving platter (after having to disconnect the water line, and drain hose — to get the dishwasher in a place where he could disassemble the pump). He could have griped that we have a tiny kitchen with very little floor space to work… that the drain hose is too short to move the dishwasher out enough, etc, but he didn’t. He was kind, knowledgeable and genuine.
Thanks MasterTech! No more dish pan hands for me! :-)
