Talk about a local veteran — 30+ years in the neighborhood servicing people passing through, locals, and out-​of-​towners. What a family; always pleasant and helpful. Upgrades a pleanty and always ready for a patron to swing by to grab a quick snack. The remodeling is looking good. Here’s to 30 more years.

I’m generally too lazy to write reviews (despite every intention to do so), but Roger’s attitude compelled me to. I came here, surprisingly, not for whiskey or dirty mags, but rather, to rent a U-​Haul. Roger, the (presumed) owner, was super friendly. He offered me a drink while I filled out the paperwork, and when he saw there were blankets left in the truck I’d be renting, he offered those as well. Trucks were all in good shape, but who cares? They’re moving trucks. Anyway, it all ended with a handshake. He’s the kind of guy you want to give your business to.

Recently moved to Shelltown and tried this place out because the sign said they have craft beer. They have a small selection of craft beers but they have some of my favorites, including Pliny the Elder and several Rogue brewery beers. The owner is very friendly and likes to talk about the beers he has on stock. Convenient spot to pick up craft beer if you live in the National City/​Shelltown area. I’ll be back.

alright so for a kid from Santa Monica coming to san diego and this being her corner store… well, why dont i have a brass knuckle with me in order to protect my self here in the Nasty of all cities.

Well after years and years and years of coming here. i still think that Roger looks like Jeff Goldblume (sp) from the «FLY»
Typical liquor store with dirty mags, beer liquor cigs and what not… they also have cheese milk and eggs if needed!
i believe this is where i bough my first pack of smokes and my first pack of beers… (wait no i had fake ids i got my beer else were)
