I’ve tried chai lattés from a few places & this one was the worst I’ve had, it tasted like spicy water. no creaminess or even that hint of sweetness they usually have, maybe I should have tried coffee. The guy w/curly hair was nice though.

Today, May 31, was the first time that I visited Peet’s Coffee & Tea at Plaza Bonita. The space is small, yet comfortable and there are tables, chairs, outlets and WiFi which is great for anyone who wants to study or get away from the busy atmosphere of the mall for a little bit. I visited the place two hours before closing and it was fairly empty. The woman who was working at the time was really sweet, patient with my mom who took a few minutes to decide what she wanted to order, and she provided great customer service. I ordered a Chocolate and Caramel Swirl Javiva Blend and the barista was kind enough to ask me if I wanted Coconut whipped cream instead of the regular whipped cream. Overall, the service was great and the drinks are delicious!

I’m soooooooooo happy there is finally a Peet’s in South bay. Geez! They really make a great decaf almond milk latte and they have good iced coffee. Always great coffee and great foam. I love the consistency. This location is nice and new. Bright and clean and not really open to the loud, craziness of the mall. If you need a semi-quiet place to gather your thoughts after running the mall gauntlet this is a nice place. Nice comfy chairs and greenery to look at. It almost feels like you can hide against the big plant wall. The service has been quick and friendly to me. Like anywhere, some Baristas are friendlier and more open than others. Sometimes the music can be a little loud, but it’s not bad. I come here after my Target runs to sit for a moment. Love you Peet’s!

No wonder this place is deserted, the coffee clerk couldn’t have been ruder to me when I wanted to use the restroom prior to ordering! It’s nasty taking food in the restroom with you, such a disappointment! No way I’m giving them my business

Delicious Caramel Macchiato! Tasted creamier than Starbucks. Got a medium, which seemed kinda small when I got it. The ladies in were very polite and cheerful. Easy going and chill music playing gives it a nice and calm environment. It’s a great spot to sit, enjoy some coffee and relax.

About time, Peet’s is finely in SSD, lol It’s nothing like Peet’s in Emeryville, but a nice cup of Peet’s compared to Starbucks I’m all for it. — Definitely a fan of the wall, bcs It blocks the sound of the customers ordering & the hardware, though the plants over my head, seriously! — Disappointing that the setup is not conversation friendly, as in one has to sit side ways to have a respectful conversation with another person, what if three people walk in lmao. Oh and the stranger across is looking right at you bcs his head hurts from talking to the person beside him/her, the hell! Definitely some improvements if I’m going to come in and sit to get work done, specially bcs I need a good size table. Who knows, maybe it’s a San Diego thing because most coffee shops do not have descent tables to do work on. It would be nice If I could come and geek out with buddies, bring our laptops, wacom tablets and drink coffee all day long. Good Times! But hey, nothing makes me happy then a good cup of joe Constructive Criticism,

Yay! Finally a real coffee place that doesn’t water down their drinks. So happy to see a Peet’s close by. I love their coffee. Their staff is friendly and attentive. Imally made sure my drink was perfect. I will be coming here often.

I like the fact that they have the dairy alternatives of soy & almond milk. I was kindly greeted by the gentleman at the register who pointed out the milk alternatives. He showed customer service– a rarity now a days. Welcome Peete’s Coffee & Tea to the South Bay!

Service is warm and welcoming even in the evening when they are almost closing. The lack of the 5th star is due to what happened on my second visit. To start, every listed number for this location is wrong. Even Mall Security apologized as they could not find a number to give me. From a security(for employees and customers), safety and customer service standpoint… this is not good. I ordered coffee boxes Christmas Eve morning and arrived at my holiday event to discover they did not give me the 30 cups I specifically requested. Such a hassle to have to rush & fight the crowds at the nearest Target to buy cups. There were not enough sugar packets to last the amount of coffee I had ordered and the nozzle on one of the boxes was leaking during the drive down(to no fault of theirs… probably a defective container). Yes I’ll be back although it’s a 18 minute drive from my business(passing 5+ Starbucks on the way) because no one does a cold brew like Peet’s black tie. Just wanted to give a heads up. A little attention to detail would have helped this situation turn out better than it did. Nonetheless… Merry Christmas!

Peet’s has never disappointed me until today. Checking out the newly opened location at Plaza Bonita and had high expectations. Negative: construction smell still lingers, layout with the double plant wall in the middle gives less space with a claustrophobic feel, order was made incorrectly, wasted a good cup of coffee, still made my drink wrong, need to remember to close the ice bucket and put away the scoop, don’t forget to turn off the faucet and get check-in scanner or learn how to use it. Positive: no matter how it’s made Peet’s coffee is really good, will go back once the new baristas get the hang of it, close to my family’s place when I visit for the weekend and need to get my points… until next time. I will recommend trying Peet’s if you haven’t done so. Best coffee to get!!!

Peet’s! You let me down a bit. I stopped in for two reasons, to drink one of your great Americano’s with a sweet treat, which I did, and most importantly make use of your free Wi-Fi to get some work completed, but unfortunately the Wi-Fi would not work. I had an employee check in the Wi-Fi, but she had no ability to fix it, so she called the manager. I waited for about 20 minutes, all the while drinking my Americano and eating a cinnamon roll I ordered, but in the end they could not get the Wi-Fi to work. On the good side, although a little harsh, the Americano was good and on a cold wet evening, it was great. I asked for the cinnamon roll I ordered to be heated and it was heated just right. The roll had a very good cinnamon flavor and was very moist throughout. The white sugar icing on top was sweet and partially melted down the sides. Service was pretty good and friendly. They offer comfortable seating inside and outside and plug ins inside, but they need to fix that W-Fi issue. I will be in again in a bout a week, so I look forward to checking it out.

This place just recently open, and I really had to stop by beeing that I’m a fan of their other location in point loma. I got to say it did not disapoint, my latte was right on point and delicious as in their other location, The girls that work there were super friendly, I will be returning when ever I get a chance for sure. Super excited that I wont have to go to starbucks burnt coffee anymore which was the only other coffee place in Plaza Bonita.

Finally a Peet’s Coffee in the southbay. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our experience here just as much as our drinks. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. As great as everyone was, Imally stood out the most. She was very easy to talk to and very helpful with our questions about their drinks. So remember kids, next time you’re visiting Plaza Bonita, don’t forget to stop by Peet’s and enjoy a very satisfying drink. And don’t forget to ask for Imally. She’ll take care of you.

I’ve always preferred Peets over that crap, burnt, and bitter coffee they brew at Starbucks. Glad there is a decent coffee shop here now.

I usually don’t go to other coffee shops besides Starbucks but this girl who’s name was Kathy caught my attention by her smile and the smile the customer she was helping had, I decided to give it a try. Kathy made me feel like I was family and put a smile on my face as well. I will be back and will recommend to others as well. THECOFFEEWASAMAZING!!!
