From the first moment that Tom answer the phone he was nice, he answered all my questions, he did not put me on hold, he is very knowledgable, and the price he quote me was very affordable. The best thing they had it in stock, and good quality. I came in after talking to him on the phone my mechanic told me just pay him for the clutch and to resurface the flywheel and I will pick it up for you. Tom took care of me all I did was paid and he had everything ready for my mechanic to pick up!!! What I like about this shop is that you are treated like family. Tom your the man! My wife and I called this place for a price on a Honda Civic si clutch. Spoke to Tom and he gave us a great price on a OEM Exedy clutch. Tom was very helpful over the phone. He saved me some money because I was looking for a more expensive stage 1 clutch. Tom advise me that for my style of driving I would be throwing my money away on a more expensive clutch. I like how Tom did not try to over sell me on a clutch I did not need. Turns out that Tom knew the mechanic that was going to install it and made arrangements for him to pick it up instead of me driving back to the mechanic shop. Southland clutch works with local shops, that said a lot about their business. I chose this place not only because of the price but because Tom has great customer service and knowledge. Nice thing about this company they deliver for me and can work on any make no matter how old of a car I am restoring, plus they are fast and very fair prices. Last clutch was on my 38 Packard 6 cly now smooth as glass. Thanks guys.

Highly recommend getting parts here rather than a using a auto chian.

Took my Jeep to a transmission shop and they told me the clutch was bad. I took the clutch and flywheel out myself and headed to Southland Clutch. Kim tested and looked at my parts and the problem was not the clutch. Ended up being the linkage. Southland could of taken my money and sold me new parts but they were looking out for me and not there bottom line. they saved me over $ 400 in parts. There are places that are closer to my house but I’m glad I went here and will go back when if I have other problems. Kim Thank You.

Still running the same clutch. I only drive my truck about 2k miles a year but they are hard miles on and off road. I am really hard on it off road, I basically drive it like I stole it and the clutch has held up flawlessly.

They know their stuff and have good prices. It’s amazing how much they know about so many different cars, transmissions, etc. Just ask anyone into racing any type of car or truck with a clutch and they’ll probably send you here.

I purchased a cheap Chinese knockoff «King Cobra» clutch off a pretty reputable website. Received it, installed it and on startup pressure plate was grinding against my bell housing so had to come up with something new and quick! I’ve heard about this place for a few years but figured that since they were local that they were probably expensive… man I was I wrong! This by far is the best specialty shop I’ve dealt with in a long time and their prices and knowledge were second to none. They took the time to show me in comparison the difference between their product and the knock off. Long story short, will be doing all my further clutch related business with them and referring as many people as possible.

I need to be clear in stating that Southland Clutch is a transmission parts distributor and NOT a repair facility. That being said, there are years of knowledge between all of the guys here at Southland Clutch and it’s worth its weight in gold. If you ask politely and have the proper attitude you will get sound advice just as I did. The entire staff is really into their machines and proudly posts their private car and truck collection on the walls of their shop.
I brought my Jeep to Southland to have the «REAL» clutch experts take a look at my Rig. These guys’ really know their stuff. Kim assisted me and he provided me with excellent customer service. Not only was he very knowledgeable about the issue at hand, but also he was very polite and courteous. Kim is awesome!
Moreover, Kim was right in his diagnoses of my transmission problems. After getting his expert advice, I returned to Rancho Jeep in Kearny Mesa and sure enough the technicians’ at the dealership located the problem. My shifting fork was indeed bent and my transmission was then rebuilt to the tune of $ 1,775.00
