True Customs

DO NOT COME HERE! JOSÉ is generally a bad person. He will make every promise to you that he can but will never keep his word. DO NOT DEAL WITH JOSÈ. I originally came in to get a new sound system in my 15′ Mazda 3. I told José what I wanted and he said he would make it happen. He said give him 4 hours to hook up the system. That was perfectly fine. He called me exactly when he said he would. I was impressed with the punctuality. When I got there I paid him and he gave me my keys. From the beginning he knew this was my first system. I would expect him to come out and show me how it worked and what to do. Well, that did not happened. He told me to have a nice day and that’s about it. I decided to check out the work that he did on my car. I asked for two 10″ Kenwood subs with a black box and a 3000W Planet Audio amp. When I looked at it nothing was right. I had a grey box with two 10″ Polk Audio subs, and a 1500W Planet Audio amp. How is it possible to not get anything right. I went in to confront him and he said «oh, they didn’t call you?» No «they» did not call me. He wouldn’t say about what. He told me to come in a day or so and he would fix it. José should of checked the work that was done to my car before giving me a call. Apparently he had an important meeting to go to and that’s why he wasn’t there to «supervise» or what ever his job is at the shop. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought it was honest mistake. A big mistake but honest. He said he would give me a FREE UPGRADE for the inconvenience and he wanted to keep my business. I came back a few days later for the FREE UPGRADE and to fix the discrepancies. He said it would take 20 minutes. I was there for 45 minutes before I went out to ask him what was going on. He said they could only replace the amp and move the dial for the subs because the subs were not in stock. I was annoyed but said okay because I already paid him 500 $ and this business is not the type to give a refund of any kind. He told me he would get the upgraded subs on Friday it was a Wednesday when this happened. He took my number and said he would give me a call. He didn’t call all weekend. I called him on Monday, he said the shipment did not come in because it was over the weekend. That made no sense because they were suppose to be there Friday not Saturday. He said to come in tomorrow and he will do it. It was suppose to be a 10 minute job. Well once again the subs were not there. I was not surprised at all I kind of expected it. He said he could get me a FREE UPGRADE tomorrow. I refused because I waited for so long. I just wanted the system I wanted. Eventually the FREE UPGRADE turned into a 60 $ upgrade for shipping which I did not want to pay. José would avoid the simple questions I was asking. I only wanted a comparison of the subs I originally was going to get and the upgrade. I lost all trust in this business so I had to make sure. At this point he turned to Alan and spoke to him in Spanish. This is very a disrespectful thing that a employee can do. Alan and José speak perfect English and should use that while dealing with customers. I understand a decent amount of Spanish and they were not talking a bunch of crap but still disrespectful. Finally, Alan offered to help me. I assume I was too much of a hassle for José. Alan was awesome. He answered all of my questions truthfully and helped me with everything I needed. He showed me that the subs in my car were better than the original and that they were better than the ones he was going to give me. So just as I assumed José was not going to give me a decent upgrade if any at all. Do not be confused. José did not originally put the better subs in there on purpose that I just what his guys put in there. Alan was really helpful and honest. If the other employees were like it would be a better establishment. I would have gave this business a lot more of my money if this did not happen. It was a brand new car and I needed a lot of things done to it and still do. I refuse to go back to this establishment and will make sure I tell everyone to avoid this place. I wish I could give no stars. It looks like a sketchy place because it is. When it seems to good to be true it is. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. Oh yeah if you are military stay away. They had someone there who was in the military I’m assuming family and he said he does a lot of business there. Seems like they are targeting military because they know they always get a pay check and some are naïve when they go looking for car upgrades.

Came in friday for estimate on an x pipe. Decent price flexible price. Paid up front friday and was told to come in on monday. Some stuff came up on monday so i couldnt go in. Tuesday i went in he told me itd take 5 hours. He said come back wednesday ill have it done in 2 – 3 hours i come back and he tells me itll be past noon. I got my car back Thursday morning. This is where it gets worse. They handed me the keys with fake smiles. The car had a rattling noise from the x pipe area it was so loud and obnoxious. This is the absolute worst service ive had. I was so close to going back to get my money. I dont even wanna come back to make them fix it. This place is TRASH

Worst. .horrible services. .please do not patronage this store. .my experience was. they have me paid in advance. The day before my appointment. .promised tint my cars 3 .at 2 hours most​.each​.it got finished in 3 days. 1 car a day. first one f I r appointment 10 am. got out the store 6pm. wait of 8 hrs. a day. worst of all they promised me not to pay the car stereo. that iwant. and free speakers. .but as long as I don’t tell the office. .but cause of the.inconvenience. .again this was not put in. andI think that jose is a thief of the company. could have I carried the guilt. .that my car stereo is a stolen one. .it’s true liar customs. don’t deserve a star

Just got my Mini Cooper Countryman tinted and I’m in love! Super friendly staff, 2-​hour turnaround time, unbeatable price, and they have a Netflix lounge while you wait. I’ll be referring these guys to everyone!

If I could I would give them negative stars,
Customer interaction was ok, they were easy to talk to and very nice. Well that was prior to me paying them. I went in to get my windows tinted and they didn’t want to do it the same day, so we scheduled it for the day after tomorrow. They charged me upfront which I was ok with at first. A personal issue came up therefore I needed a refund, once I asked them they refused and said they couldn’t because I was already on the calendar and supposedly they denied service to other potential customers, which I know it’s a lie because no business will let customers go because of an appointment window. Now I’m gonna file a small claims and obviously win and they will be responsible for all fees, and not to mention once their credit card merchant sees another chargeback they will raise their rates. Reason I’m writing this review is because I don’t want someone else to go through so much trouble to get refund, not to mention the place gives a «suspicious vibe». I tried solving the matter with Alan Ramirez (One of the store owners) and he wouldn’t take my calls.

I went if for some HID lights and Allen told me I could upgrade for $ 35 to the 55watt kit i said great, a couple weeks later one of the lights go out and I take it back. There were no cars there and they took about one hour and a half and they told me that they fixed it and switched the ballast I thought to my self great I get home and it goes off again. I waited about 3 weeks and I took it back for the 3^rd time and one of the guys told me that the guy who installed them installed it some way we’re water was making the lights flicker and the problem was going to be solved. They worked for about one month and just yesterday both my lights went out at night I had to get a hotel wasted 100 $ because of that, went in the next day and as soon as they saw me they knew who I was they were being really rude like it was my fault one of them told me that I had to get a canvas like I knew what that was I told them well if that was the problem why didn’t you guys tell me that the first time!!! Helllooooo you guys are the pros here not us!!! I asked them to just put my old lights on and they told me to come back the next day when my lights don’t work at night. I told them I drive at night and then he said bring it back at 5 very rudely I don’t want to deal with those guys again they are a complete joke they blame each other for there mistakes really unprofessional staff I will never ever ever recommend anyone to that place, they should not be in business by now I’ve never been this disappointed with a business like I did with them and to top it off the first time I purchased them they said it was lifetime warranty which was complete BS!!! Just went back before I wrote this review and he said I wouldn’t have a problem sure enough they went out as I was driving home I won’t be taking my car back there or recommend any one there I took them of my self and went back to OEM they can keep money

Fast service and amazing deals! Got a few things done by these guys, window tint and remote controlled power doors with alarm. They even had netflix for us to watch while we waited for our car to be done.

They dont even deserve a star i went here after i got my car painted and i ordered rims and a radio and thy said it would be ready in 2 days so i went back and they said 1 more day, then i get a call saying that the rims i ordered got messed up so they offer another set of rims and said about a day so i went there and waited for about an hour and they said they havent finished it yet AFTER i waited so i left and then i called about 2 days later and they said it was ready so i went there, got it and i got my lights restored but the product they were using was left all over the front of the car and i had to clean it myself. While i was driving home i got to 30 mph and my car started shaking really badly so i took it back and they said they took it back a rebalanced it so i left again and it was still shaking really badly so i took it back the next day and they said they need to put spacers on it so i waited while they did that and while i was driving home it started shaking worse so i took it to a tire shop in rancho san diego and they fixed the problem and said that it was unbalanced and the spacers werent on right so i have no idea what they were doing with the time they had my car for. On one of the days we took it for a test drive and the guy that was helping me his name is jose, he said «ill hook you up with a subwoofer, speakers, amps, and a box and installation for $ 180» on the side because he didnt want anybody knowing so i said ok and i stopped by the atm and got him the money so i waited about a week and asked him when he was gunna do it and he said he needs $ 40 for shipping so i gave him the money and he said his installer is in tj so i waited about a month and he kept saying the same thing so its been about 4 – 5 months and he still hasnt given me my $ 220 overall the customer service was absolutely horrible and they deserve no stars and shady to the max, even the first time i went to pick up my car i smelt marijuana, really bad place i wasted $ 1400 here

Got my son a car and wanted to get it tinted for his birthday. Usually have another guy tint my vehicles, but looked around via Unilocal and I kept coming back to this company. Worst mistake by far…1) car was not ready when they promised, 2) got a quote and ended up paying $ 60+ more, 3) had to bring my car back because the tint was still bubbled even after curing time of 48 hours, 4) they were late for second appointment (business closed & locked), 5) had to go back yet again, because they installed rear wiper incorrectly!!! Can you say a waste of time and not even an apology??? Their lack of attention to details and poor service warranted this BAD review. Beware!!!

First time I called he quoted me $ 65 no tax because it was just for labor, as I had my own alarm kit. A couple weeks went by so I can save money. I called them again to get a quote and they quoted me for $ 60 this time so I thought it was a great deal because joes stereo was charging me more than $ 120. I went down there and showed him the alarm kit which has everything you need to do a basic install. He told me that my kit needed 2 more relay which the kit already had one and charged me $ 14 each for relay and charged me tax for not only the relay but also the labor which totaled came out to $ 96 dollars from $ 60. I have installed alarm kits before and the kit it comes with usually you don’t need anything else to wire it up. I gave them a 2 star because the work they did was great but trying to increase the price by saying I needed more relays and taxing labor when they said they don’t doesn’t make these people an honest company. Please be aware when doing business with these people!

This place sucks. Guy at the front desk said it would take an hour and been here for over 3. Just came in for a window tinting.
Guy told us ten minutes went to the guy in the back and then said thirty minutes.
Go somewhere else.

This place is shady, the employees lack knowledge in their product, and overall are very unprofessional .

Good service. Easy to talk to. They took care of me and my car looks good. There was a couple small bubbles but I will wait until everything settles. They told me if there is anything i need to retouch to jus come on in.

The guys at this shop are incredibly shady and deceiving. I was going around town acquiring quotes to tint the windows on my acura rsx and they wanted to charge me $ 225. It was too pricey for me, specially since other shops were quoting me in the range of $ 140-​$ 160. I said no thanks that’s too much and mentioned the shop around the corner called Sound Solutions quoted me $ 150 they immediately started to rant. They were bad mouthing the owner Patrick from that shop and saying that he was stupid for giving us a lower price. Also that Patrick and several other locations in National City don’t even tint there own windows and that they bring it into his shop to get tinted by them. One guy desperately showed us around his shop and even had the nerve to say «You might as well have it done here because you’re car is going to end up here». The guy then offers me $ 140 for the job but wants me to pay it in full before the job is even done. I said no and then he changed it to $ 80 or $ 100 down. I walked out of that place because it was ridiculous. I am so happy I went with my gut feeling because the very next day I took my car to the shop around the corner and found out that the information they gave are completely all lies.

My sister recommended this place for window tints. They did a great job on my car. Fast and great service.

Eric was nice & helpful. I like the fact that they have a lifetime warranty on my window tint (even out of state)

First time here and was really disappointed. I asked if they had any touch screen navigation systems and they said yes but they didnt have it on stock. That they can ordered it and install it tomorrow. I said great, how much and can i see a picture. He went on google and show me a picture of a navigation stereo system. I told him that i did not wanted a stereo that the screen face can come off and alan said no problem «the screen dont come off». I said great lets do it. When i signed the invoice it had JVC NT300. When i picked up the car the next day i didnt bother to check the model and the stereo. A day later i was playing with the stereo and found out that the face does come off. I went in person and they couldnt help me. They said that it was a mistake that they put NT300 and that it should of have being Nt30HD. And that he made a mistake because he thought that the face didnt come off and it did. They didnt wanted to install the nt300. They said that i could pay the difference cuz it was more expensive and they could do it then. Or return it and i have to pay re stocking fee. I told him that i wanted to talk to the owner and he didnt give me a number. He said he would talk to the female accountant and that she was going to call me. She never did. I send a message to them through Unilocal and the owner returned my message weeks later to only tell me that he was going to find out what happen. The owner didnt called me back, alan called me back to only tell me the same thing.
I dont know why they have words like «we treat customers like one of our own» and that their «customer service is second to nome»…
Great people, but they dont bend over backwards to help you, EVEN if it was their mistake. There is no «im sorry bro». «I made a mistake»

Never done it but should be an easy case…

I found this place on Unilocal and decided to give them a try. They installed my new headlights and gave me a great deal on new HD bulbs with a lifetime warranty. I previously had some from Ronnie’s Electronics that were always going out & had no warranty. Highly recommend this shop.

I came in randomly for my stereo instalation and they helped me out and gave me a good price right away. I needed some parts they didnt have but they had them on hand by the next day for me. It was quick and easy. I will definitely come back again.

Came here to tint my 2005 BMW 5 series and couldn’t be happier. The price was fair and the work was done in a timely manner. The customer services was exceptional and the job was done just as described. While I was there I also had my headlights restored and smoked out my taillights. The car looks like new! I will definitely come back to this shop to do some work on my Honda Civic EK. Thanks for the great job and service, highly recommended. A+++
