Worst Service ever! Definitely cannot handle the volume of customers and all were completely disorganized! Orders were not coming out in any type of order even those that people placed together. It was obvious that customers were annoyed. We ordered two iced venti drinks both with whip and finally the first one came out but not till a few minutes in later the second drink came out and the barista didn’t call it out. The second drink was wrong and missing whip… although cup indicated +w. When asked for whip it was passed over from person to person to only push aside by an employee with a name tag«Sering — India». Finally after I insisted to add whip, Sering half hearted added whip and placed the flat lid back on the top. Half ass job if you ask me! Like I said worst customer service!

Made a quick and unexpected stop here earlier today but had a couple things going on that distracted me from the coffee. This coffee shop/stand is kinda small and as previous reviews point out they offer basic coffee sizes but kinda expensive for what it is. Their selection also includes some pastries and cookies and I think some sandwiches, snack type food really. Nothing really stood out for me so I skipped the edibles. I should’ve picked up a wee pastry for the sake of a talking point, but perhaps some other visit. Having said that, nothing really stood out for me. The girl at the counter who helped me was pleasant and smiling, and we had a very quick chat about the weather before my phone rang and I excused myself to answer it while she finished getting my coffee ready and then my phone chat basically took over and made me oblivious to my visit there. The coffee was alright, not as potent as I would have liked it though. I noticed they do have hot tea as well. I didn’t try any as it didn’t seem appealing. Funny — even though I truly only rarely drink tea the only stuff I drink is something like Tetleys or Bewleys, the latter being the best in my opinion. I usually get a box sent over from back home in Ireland every once in a while and it lasts. I’d rather bring my own tea bag and make my own from scratch instead of the usually poo stuff that you get in cafés. All that hippy-sippy poncy flavored nonsense isn’t for me at all. A good strong black tea will do rightly. Ok, meanwhile back on planet Earth… as I was saying, this place was fine if you’re easily satisfied with a plain cup of caffeine and in those moments when you have more money than sense. For the sitting-in experience I would prefer a Starbucks.

Although I only ordered a hot chocolate from here, I thought it was good. But then again, how could you really mess up hot chocolate?! It was definitely nothing special, but it kept me warm and satisfied my chocolate craving. There pastries looked really tempting, especially their cupcakes and cookies. I liked how they offered salads and sandwiches, as well as fruit and yogurt. Prices were slightly higher than other coffee shops, but what do you expect in a hotel. There’s no seating, so plan on eating your food or drinking your beverage on a bench or in the lobby upstairs.

This is the coffee shop inside the Gaylord National Hotel. They offer a decent selection of coffee drinks and pastries. Their coffee was so-so. I went there between sessions at a conference; the lines were long, and I spent the entire time between sessions getting coffee. The coffee is more expensive than most coffee shops. The shop just offers walk-up service. Seating is available in the hotel’s atrium. The only wifi is the hotel wifi, and the hotel charges for access to it. If there’s time, I’d recommend the other coffee shop in National Harbor.

Java Coast coffee stand is inside the Gaylord and their options are very basic: Coffee/tea, pastries(include muffins, croissants and donuts), prepackaged fruit, prepackaged salads, and bottled drinks as well. They also have(microwaveable) breakfast sandwiches that aren’t on the menu. Granted it’s pre-made, its the only option if you have if you’re up at 5am like me(because room service at the Gaylord doesn’t begin until 6). Coffee options are all S/M/L but tea is only one size(medium for $ 3.50). it’s cheaper than room service and they serve the same stuff!

The baristas have bad attitudes and are unwilling/unable to make lattes the way they’re ordered. The muffins look gourmet, but pulling back the wrapper revealed a thick layer of oil. For anyone staying here in the Gaylord, this is the only coffee choice around. I suggest you bring Starbucks via and your own food and have breakfast in your room instead.

Definitely not large enough to handle the volume of guests or conference attendees. Would be nice if the staff confirmed you want whipped cream. Majorly disappointed that they wouldn’t serve my coffee in my reusable metal to go mug. Yummy pastries.

Java Coast is a small and very basic coffee stand located in the Atrium of Gaylord National Resort. It offers a small selection of pastries, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Beer and wine is available, too. Since it opens at 5:00 a.m. and closes at 1:00 a.m., you can just about always find something quick to drink/eat at Java Coast. The OJ and Bread, I had for a fast snack was what I needed. Minimal service is required or offered. There are seats mixed throughout the atrium to relax and eat the Java Coast offerings. Like almost everything at Gaylord National, the prices are extremely high and not equal to the quality of the coffee/food. Since, you’re almost captive within the National Harbor area, there aren’t many alternatives, so, just suck it up and pay. We tried room service once and it was even higher. It made my decision the next day to just go downstairs to get something from Java Coast much easier. This is not a place you’d go out of your way for at all, however, it gets an A-Oh-K rating because of convenience and speed within the hotel.

Nice coffee shop with good espresso. Not a lot of flavors for the lattes — if you want real variety, wander out into National Harbor down to Mayorga Coffee Roasters at the other end of Fleet St(between Fleet and the main street along the waterfront). Like everything else in the Gaylord Hotel, customer service is fast, staff is friendly, and a great place to get a latte to start the day.

Basically a glorified kiosk inside the hotel. A great place for coffee’s and cocoas but the food didn’t look good at all. Pass on the snacks. Stick to the coffee and you’re fine.

Ha ha ha ha… I was going to write a review, and now I forgot what I was going to write. I guess that pretty much sums up the coffee here.

I stopped in here for some much needed caffeine before getting on the road and heading back home late in the day — needed some liquid crack to prop my eyelids open long enough to make it home. Ordered a double shot iced latte — drink was strong and delicious! I sucked it down way to fast. This is not a coffee shop with a lot of seating — it’s more like a coffee/espresso counter — there is plenty of seating outside Java Coast throughout the atrium and hotel…

Um. Two words: burnt coffee. I had the small of the Vienna Roast and while it was definitely super hot and steamy — great to warm up on a cold, wet winter day — it was not the most enjoyable cup of joe I’ve ever had. I inquired with the cashier lady about the origin of the cupcakes they serve here. They looked really lovely. I didn’t eat one, but they were tempting, even to someone like me, who’s a savory preferrer. Alas, she was clueless. Um. Note to management: you may want to uptrain your staff to have some limited knowledge of the product offerings available at your shop. There’s no seating immediately within, or nearby Java Coast, however it’s also located on the ground level atrium of the Gaylord, so there’s plenty of random seating interspersed among the towering trees and leafy green bushes. I headed over to the gazebo across the courtyard to crunch away at some work while sipping my not-superb java. Eh. Maybe their sandwiches and salads are what people are willing to pay money for. And by «pay money for» I mean«utilize their corporate expense accounts for.»
